Zack: Oh, come on, Sephy. Certainly you know how to wake someone with water. *shakes his head then picks up a bucket which is kept in the bathroom in hopes that they boys store cleansing material’s for the room in there. Then, he begins to fill it with cold water from the sink. Soon afterwards, he carries the bucket over to Hal’s bed before looking back at Sephiroth* You want to have the honors? Just splace this in his face or on his head.
Sephiroth: Phh, I have a much more effective idea than that. *takes the bucket of water from Zack, then up-ends the contents onto Hal’s crotch area. Then he steps back out of the way so he doesnt get punched and waits for the reaction*
Hal: *groans at first, then slowly sits up, glancing down at his crotch. He jolts out of the bed and stumbles on his feet* What the heck happened…? *groans and puts a hand on his forehead* Ooh, that hurts…
Zack: *softly chuckles, covering his mouth in order to muffle the noise, at Sephy’s method for waking up Hal* Well, that’s definitely a way to do it. But that’s absolutely mean. *chuckles some more* And absolutely hillarious. *watches Hal stumble away* Hey, hurry it up or you’ll be killed by the sargent, Red! Move it, move it, move it!
Sephiroth: *smirks broadly, pleased with the fact that Zack finds humour in what he has done* I agree, get up and move before the Sargeant forces you to train all morning like that, or at least accuses you of pissing yourself during the night.
Hal: Har har, very funny… *moves into the bathroom and slams the door behind him, desiring to have a shower and prepare himself for the day*
Zack: *finally stops snickering* Yea, Hal, get ready already. *Looks at the clock on the wall then grins* Well, it’s time for breakfast. *jogs over to the door* Last one there is a rotten egg! *waves at Sephy then rushes out of the room, intending to beat the rush to the cafeteria*
Sephiroth: *snorts and casually walks out of the dormitory, leaving Hal in there to finish getting ready for the day. He strolls along to the mess hall at his own pace, then lines up somewhere towards the middle of the queue, grabbing up a plate. After he has gotten his rations of breakfast for the morning, he glances around the area, looking for Zack so that he may sit with him*
Zack: *is already engrossed in scarfing down the large breakfast that he had picked up. His plate is full of eggs, toast, pancakes, and bacon. There are a few other boys at the table, but for the most part, the table is empty. So, there is more than enough room for Sephiroth*
Sephiroth: *moves to sit across from Zack at the larger table, silently devouring his own serving of food. He grunts in annoyance as he receives a friendly shove from one of the other boys sitting next to him. He finishes his morning meal after some time, keeping his attention on the doorway, vaguely curious to see if Hal is ever goign to show up*
Zack: *leans back in his char as he finishes off his plate and pats his stomach* Man, that was damn good. Not near as good as that restraunt, but it was definitely worth notice. *glances over at Sephiroth* What do you think, Sephy? Did that give you a good pick-me-up for the day?
Sephiroth: *shrugs, not seeming to care too much* The food is acceptable quality. I could tolerate eating it for as long as I am here. *glances back towards the door* Did you see that idiot red-headed male known as Hal come in yet? I have not seen him for the entire duration of this meal and I am beginning to think he has gotten himself into trouble.
*The male sitting next to Sephy shoves him in the shoulder* What are you, a thesaurus or something? Geez, man.
Zack: Hm? No, I didn’t hear or see Hal since he went into the laboratory. *shoots the other boy a nasty look* Maybe he’s being heavily delayed, don’t you say, Sephiroth? *Shakes his head then shrugs before glaring at the other boys once more* And shut up, his words aren’t that big. Or do you have problems comprehending three sylobol words through that thick skull and small ears?
Sephiroth: *picks up a napkin and begins wiping off his mouth and hands with it* Either heavily delayed, asleep, or he’s been caught and is carrying out some ridiculous punishment. If you see him in your morning classes you can ask him I suppose. *shrugs*
*The male sitting next to Sephy chuckles loudly, then punches him in the arm again* Oh shut up, Spikes. I’m only teasing afterall.
Zack: Well, I hope that he’s just lingering about and isn’t in trouble. He hasn’t done anything wrong aside from missing out on breakfast so far. *sighs and then frowns at the male once more* Hey, cut it out. I’ve seen Sephiroth here crush other boy’s hands for punching him over and over agian. Isn’t that right, Seph-man?
Sephiroth: *makes a loud aggressive growling noise* Heh, you bet. I have punched and knocked others to the ground for less than that. So stop punching me in the arm. *picks up his tray and empty plate, carrying it to the returns area, walking back to the table* I am guessing he isn’t going to come now. *shrugs* I am going to take a short walk before our morning warm-up exercises begin.
Zack: Alright, have fun with that, Sephiroth. *waves at Sephers* I think I’ll save my energy for when that man has us running ten miles, but you can have as much fun as you like with your walk. *sighs and leans back in his chair*
*the male that was sitting next to Seph looks over at Zack* Hey there… Spikes? Call me Bren. *grins at him* So you’re in any of the silver-haired guy’s classes, then? He’s a strange one, that’s for sure. I met him at those extra-credit optional battle-tactics classes that are being run in the evening. He likes to beat people up.
Hal: *is shoved into the mess hall area by the sargeant, and is spoken to in a harsh manner by him. The sargeant glares at Hal as he gives him orders, and the red-head lowers his head as he begins to clean up other people’s plates*
Zack: Huh? Oh, yea. Well, first off, he’s my roommate, but other than that, yea. We have tons of sword-fighting classes together. But I think he’s aiming for a different type of sword than I am. He keeps on drifting toward the katanas while I like the broadswords. *shrugs* And he’s not that bad, he just enjoys competition. *doesn’t quite notice Hal’s entrance nor the fact that the boy is cleaning dishes*
Bren: Keep an eye on him. Because he’ll probably try to slug you one day. There’s also talk among some of his other class members about banding into a big group after class one evening and beating the shit out of him to teach him a lesson. He’s already been abrasive with quite a few of the boys here. *picks up his tray and grins at Zack* Not that I agree with it, jus’ warnin ya. See ya. *walks away with his empty tray to dispose of it and head off to his first classes*
Sargeant: Faster, ladies! I haven’t got all morning to deal with your pansying around!
Hal: *sighs* Sorry, sir… *moves towards the front of the mess hall, picking up even more abandoned plates that people have left behind*
Zack: *shakes his head* You guys are going to get your asses kicked, I can assure you of that. Sephiroth is not exactly a weak wimp. I’ve seen him do things that just blow my mind. *frowns at the Sargeant’s voice before releasing a wistful sigh* Well, guess it’s time to get ran to death once more. *pushes himself up to his feet then walks toward the doors. Unfortunately for Hal, Zack doesn’t bother getting rid of his dishes nor putting them in the conveyer belt, so the other boy has even more work to do.*
Sephiroth: *is outside and on the grass beyond the mess hall, doing some calm stretching movements to warm up his muscles. He also casually jogs on the spot, and doesn’t intially see Zack until he turns around* What took you so long to finish in there? *smirks* Wanted to clean your plate? Hurry up, because they’re going to run us five miles in a few minutes. I personally think its stupid to run just after eating, but… *shrugs*
Zack: Hey, it’s them who made up the time tables, Sephy. So, it’s not our place to complain. *looks around* Where are the others? I would have expected more out here by now. Especially after the Sarge started busting everyone’s chops in the mess hall. He said we were dilly-dallying too much.
Sephiroth: He did? *raises an eyebrow* I didn’t see him yet. *shrugs* There’s about ten minutes until our daily run, so maybe others are slacking around. Not me however – I do not desire to sprain or pull a muscle. That would disable me and I would not enjoy being crippled in any way for further training.
Zack: *nods* Yea, he was in the cafeteria, yelling and ranting. He was really in a foul mood. *shrugs* Oh wells, at least we’re safe since we’re out here already. Though I bet he’ll take his anger at all the others out on everyone else. *stretches his arms up to the sky then decides to follow Seph’s example and begins to stretch out the rest of his muscles* So, do you think I’ll be as good as you are one day?
Sephiroth: As good as me? *smirks and moves one leg forward, leaning on it to stretch out his hamstring muscles* Heh, never. Nobody can be as good as I am. You can try very hard and you may get noticed for putting in that much effort, but nobody will be as good as me.
Hal: *looks quite worn out and miserable as he walks outside, finally finished up with his cleaning chore punishment* Hey… *walks across the lawn to Zack and Sephiroth, then sighs* Sarge busted my ass for sleeping in and being late in getting ready. He made me clean up the mess hall and I missed out on breakfast. *narrows his eyes* What’s going on right now?
Zack: *Crosses his arms then sticks his tongue out at Sephy* We’ll just see about that, hot shot. You’re not the greatest at anything yet, you’re just really good. I bet that I can match your skills if I tried really hard. It’s not like you’re some sort of alien that is superior to all of us. *glances over at Hal and blinks at him* Oh, so that’s where you were. I thought you were still in the bathroom with the way you were moaning this morning. *shrugs* And we’re just waiting for the Sarge and everyone else to arrive so we can get this party moving.
