Sephiroth: *”I appreciate the sentiment, Desiree.”* *is quiet and absolutely still for a few more moments* *”What time is it? I think I should like to go for a walk outside once it is dark and the heat from the day is gone.”*
Loz: *sharply* I’m not crying! Let’s go on this stupid trip already, huh?
Desiree: Hmm.. *she sits up a bit. She then looks over at a clock that she’s hung up on the wall* It’s about 6 pm, Father. It shouldn’t be that dark out there yet.
Yazoo: *he allows himself a faint smirk. He then looks down at Zach* Are you ready yet?
Sephiroth: *”Oh, I see… nevermind, then. Get some sleep and wait for the others to… to… where are they going? Hmph… as long as it’s somewhere safe and far away from me, then I really don’t care.”* *rolls onto his side and curls up*
Zach: Uh, yeah? A long time ago, doofus. *pokes out his tongue* Whenever you’re ready.
Cancer: *quietly* I’m going to stay here….
Yazoo: *nods at Cancer* That is fine, sister. You can stay here with the rest of the family. He then reaches down to grip onto Zach’s hand* Let’s go, brothers. *with that, he begins to lead Zach up the stairs*
Desiree: *she looks down at Sephiroth then nods* Ok, Father. Take as much time as you want. I’ll support you, always. *with that, she moves to lie down next to Sephiroth again. She then wraps her arms about his midsection and cuddles up against him*
Zach: Yee hah! *makes no protest as his hand is gripped, following the three silver haired men out of the room and up the stairs*
Sephiroth: *”Wake me when it is dark outside…”* *seems calmer as Desiree cuddles up to him, and soon goes idle as his soul within the gem goes dormant and into a state of rest*
Yazoo: Yee hah? *he shrugs at Zack’s words. He then nods at Loz as soon as they exit the base* Lead the way, Loz. You know where this cavern is.
Desiree: *sighs then nods her head* Ok, Father. I will. *she pats his side. She then closes her eyes and decides to go to sleep as well*
Sephiroth: *is totally inactive and unreceptive to any outside stimuli for the next 4 – 5 hours, and would appear to be dead if not for the fact that his body instinctively breathes occaisonally. He makes no sound even while he breathes and appears to be so heavily asleep that it seems like he would be almost impossible to wake up again*
Desiree: *remains next to Sephiroth as she rests for the evening. She isn’t even aware of the passing of time as she sleeps. However, in about five hours from when she went to sleep, her eyes slowly flutter open. Yawning, she sits up and looks at the clock* Oh.. *rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, she leans over to whisper to Sephy’s prison materia* Father, it’s past nightfall. Can I walk with you this time?
Sephiroth: *doesn’t initially respond for a few moments, groaning as he finally wakes up, his body twitching as he tries to force it to move for him. He slowly sits up, then pushes off the bed* *”Past nightfall already…? It seems like no time passed at all. Are you sure you want to come outside with me? You probably shouldn’t. It’s dangerous to go out there if you don’t know what you’re doing.”*
Desiree: *nods at Sephiroth* I want to come, Father. We will help each otha if bad things happen. *sits up and slides over to be next to him once more* Please let me come, Father. Pleeease.
Sephiroth: *scowls* N-no… “*No. It’s too dangerous out there for you. Especially during this hour.”* *grunts* *”No…. no. You stay inside. I don’t want something to move in fast and claw you up. You can’t even fly, or teleport yourself away to safety.”* *slowly shuffles for the door*
Desiree: *pouts then jumps off the bed, knowing that Sephiroth can’t really stop her. She then rushes forward to catch up to Sephiroth* No. I’m no gonna abandon you lie Motha dih. *she narrows her eyes at him and tries to look as serious as she can get*
Sephiroth: *makes a very tired sigh, then begins to slowly shuffle out the doorway, slowly moving up the stairs* *”I can’t stop you… if you want to follow me outside, I really can’t stop you, even if I did say no.”* *takes his time slowly moving up the stairs*
Desiree: *Broadly grins as Sephiroth gives in. She then reaches up to take his hand* Don’t worry, Fatha. I protec you. I sweah. *she giggles, quite estatic*
Sephiroth: You can’t. *frowns* *”You’re not big enough. Neither of us is any match for a pack of raptors. Or a singular T-Rex. Or a rogue Mountain Dragon. You just have to keep alert and let me know if you see anything. All I can really do is teleport us to somewhere safe.”*
Desiree: *snorts at Sephiroth. She then shakes her head* No, will protect. I can do it! *She grins at him* You see. I can. I can, I can, I can!
Sephiroth: *sighs* *”You can teleport…? I didn’t know you could do it well…”* *grunts and continues moving up the stairs* *”Can you do it fast…? We can test it out when we get outside.”*
Desiree: Huh? Teleepor? *She shakes her head* No.. No know tha. Buh can proteck! Can, can, can. You see, Fatha. I will. *rushes ahead as they reach the door. She then opens it for Sephiroth* There.
Sephiroth: *stops at the top of the entryway and narrows his eyes* You can’t teleport…? Get back inside… *reaches out to grab at the door, slowly pulling it closed again* *”You can’t protect me against a pack of rampant dinosaurs. You can’t. Not yet, anyway.”*
Desiree : *whines and tries to keep the door open as Sephiroth closes it. She then frowns up at him* I coming! You let Zach go with dumb brothers. Let me come!! *she stomps her feet on the ground*
Sephiroth: He’s gone with his cloned brothers because they are not impaired in their abilities and they could hold their own against any enemy that comes at them. We could not… you’re too small and I…. I’m… *closes his eyes* …impaired.
Desiree: *scowls at Sephiroth. She then crosses her arms and shakes her head* I coming! I can protect! I ave friends and all tha who chan help as well. I coming!
Sephiroth: Stop it, Desiree… we’re not going anywhere. *moves back from the door after gently pulling it closed. He begins to head back down the stairs, moving a little faster down them than he did going up them* Friends… can’t trust anyone out there. Sorry… you’re not going out. I am not going out. That is the end of it.
Desiree: *whines as Sephiroth proclaims that they are not going outside. She then reaches out to grab his hand and tries to tug him to the door* I wanna go, Fatha! No do this! Wanna go!
