Desiree: *loudly yelps as she hears the armlet drop down the stairs. She then whimpers and chases after it* I’m sorry! *Soon enough, she reaches the armlet and yanks it off the ground. Then, she rushes back over to Sephiroth and hurridly puts the armlet back on his wrist*
Sephiroth: *pulls his arm away from Desiree after she returns the armlet to his body, then resumes his slow shuffle down the stairs, not really saying anything to her*
Desiree: *whimpers then follows after Sephiroth* Sorry, Fatha. It was acciden. Didn’t mean it. *she shakes her head. She then reaches up to grip onto his hand* Sorry.
Sephiroth: *allows Desiree to grip his hand, but still says nothing as he makes the rest of his way back down the stairs, making a detour to the kitchen. He shuffles to the refrigerator and begins to look through it for something ready to eat*
Desiree: *keeps a hold of Sephiroth’s hand and moves along with him. She whimpers slightly, still upset over Sephiroth’s decision. She also leans in close to him, not wanting to be far away* Hunry, Fatha?
Sephiroth: *slowly nods his head* *”I’m going to make something I can take with me and eat in small portions whenever I am hungry. That way I don’t have to keep walking up and down the stairs.
Desiree: *she nods her head. She then rushes to the side to grab a chair, which she drags over to the counter. With that in place, she climbs up to be level with the counter and grins at Sephiroth* Ok, Fatha. Give me food. I’ll help make it.
Sephiroth: *sighs slightly at Desiree’s behaviour. He takes some vegetables out of the refrigerator along with some raw chicken* *”See what you can do with this.”*
Desiree: *broadly grins as Sephiroth gives her the vegetables. She then looks around the area, soon reaching out for a knife* Mmm.. *manages to brush her fingers against the knife*
Sephiroth: *smirks at Desiree’s interest in the knife* One day… y-you.. c-c-can… *snarls and sharply shakes his armlet, moving over to stand beside Desiree so he can start preparing the chicken for grilling* *”One day you can play with knives of your own. Once you are old enough, that is.”*
Desiree: *Whimpers at Sephiroth* Wanna do it now. I big girl.. *She then notices what he’s doing with the armlet. So, she reaches over to grip onto his arm. Soon enough, she begins tightening the grip of the armlet on his wrist* Tha betta?
Sephiroth: *slowly nods his head* *”Thank you. It’s not perfect, but it usually works well. It’s just on this occasion… it was loose. Probably from falling down the stairs.”* *his movements seem more fluid as he digs through the cupboards looking for a baking tray, placing the chicken pieces onto the tray, picking up some spices in a jar to sprinkle over them* *”Tell the others that dinner will be ready soon.”*
Desiree: *loudly giggles at Sephiroth’s last statement. She then shakes her head* Fatha! It eleveen p.m. An Zach not even here. *She giggles some more* Why make dinner now? Bet Cancer already ate.
Sephiroth: *calmly* *”Have you eaten? I am hungry. If you are, we can eat. We can also cook this up and reheat it again tomorrow, also.”* *Places the chicken and the tray under the griller* *”If you can cook it, you can eat it another time, so you don’t have to cook. That is why I want to prepare the meal.”*
Desiree: *shakes her head* No, been sleepin wit you, fatha… *thinks for a moment. She then nods and grins* Wanna eat. Will be good! *claps her hands together in anticipation. She then tilts her head* Fatha, why no like using voice?
Sephiroth: *glances over at Desiree, pondering how to answer her question properly. He slowly shakes his head and sighs* *”Why don’t I like to use my voice?”* *gently clears his throat and begins to speak, finding it a little difficult* T-that’s because it’s flat sounding… and lifeless. Almost… *scowls* Sometimes it is also hard.
Desiree: *slowly shakes her head* Fatha should use voice more. If you don’t, you loose voice… Tha will be bad. No wan you to loose voice, Fatha.
Sephiroth: Desiree… *firmly* Speak properly… y-you know how… *grunts slightly, then shakes his head* *”I won’t lose my voice. Just because I don’t speak much, it doesn’t mean I will ever lose my voice.”* *walks away from the grill, turning the heat down as he does so*
Desiree: *Whimpers* Wha? I am speaking good. *she crosses her arms and pouts* And still can loose your voice if you no use it, Fatha. Teachers say tha is true.
Sephiroth: *”I think they’re just saying that… there’s no way it could be physically possible. At all…”* *scowls and shakes his head* *”If I don’t speak, I still have my voice, and I can make noise. Thus I think the comment is a lie.”*
Desiree: Buh, muscles shreen with no use, Fatha. It true. *she nods her head* You can loose voice. Tha would be bad.
Sephiroth: *”I’m not going to lose my voice. Do not worry yourself with that.”* *shakes his head* *”Are you done cutting vegetables? They don’t take very long to cook, but…”* *shrugs his shoulders* *”I am getting hungry.”*
Desiree: *Frowns at Sephiroth. She then crosses her hands* No can do nothing with veggies if no have knife, Fatha! *She shakes her head* Can do notheen.
Sephiroth: *”I thought you had one. Forgive me.”* *slowly shakes his head. He opens the drawer and removes a medium sized bladed knife, setting it down on the table next to her* *”Use that. And for Hades’ sake, don’t cut yourself.”*
