Desiree: No, not at all. *she glares at Cancer* I asked my sister to help me keep you from running off, not to kill you. She just got carried away at the holding you down element. *she sighs then mutters under her breath. Soon enough, she casts a minor healing spell over Kalysto in an attempt to make him feel better* I still would like you to teach us stuff. You already tried to teach me how you summon demons.
Kalysto: *glances down at himself, then back up at her* Oh, so you’re a healer, too? *shakes his head* You should follow the light, not the darkness. I went down that path because I could, not because it was easy. *tries to push Desiree away* But no, still. I’m not in the least bit convinced. You want to train under me? You want to learn about the nether, and summon demons under your command? Then capture one. Once you have one bound to your will, come back to me and we’ll talk.
Desiree: Huh? No, I’m not a healer. That’s the only healing spell that I know. I just learned it so I could heal any minor scrape that I get into. *she glares at him* Well, how do you expect me to capture anything if you won’t show me shit? You’re still being rather stubborn and annoying. I repeat, I’ve been nothing but friendly to you, but you treat me like shit!
Kalysto: You know how to bring a demon from the nether, don’t you? *rolls his eyes* If you can’t even do the most basic of demonology spells, then what makes you think you can learn anything from me? *scowls* I’m treating you like shit because you’re being overconfident. You think you can do it? Start with the basic stuff first. *folds his arms* You can’t even begin to learn anything else without the basics.
Desiree: I can’t do the basics unless you teach them to me. Duh! That’s all I’m asking. *she crosses her arms* For you to teach me the basics of whatever it is that you do. *she narrows her eyes* Or, are you afraid that you might be outdone by me?
Kalysto: Phh, no. I’m not afraid of anything. *reaches over to poke Desiree in the forehead* I’m not teaching you anything until you can actually prove that you can do something useful. *glances off to the side, then shrugs* How about just trying to tame a demon? *raises his hands and summons a wild baby imp onto the floor space in front of him*
Desiree: *glances down at the imp then screws her face up at it* That thing looks like an idiot… *she shakes her head* Why would I want to tame that at all? It looks weak and useless. *Shrugging, she then decides to cast a manipulation spell over the imp, trying to sway it to her wishes*
Kalysto: Oh don’t let it hear you say things like that. *leans against the wall and watches Desiree with curiousity* Well, go on then. Crush it’s free will and bind it to yourself.
*the baby imp initially seems more interested in bouncing around and getting into mischeif. When Desiree casts the manipulation spell over it, it retaliates by trying to hurl fireballs at her, screeching in anger*
Desiree: *Hisses at the fireball as its thrown at her. She then narrows her eyes and tries to cast an even more powerful manipulation spell* It would help if I knew how this is supposed to be done!
Kalysto: If you don’t know how, then you’re clearly not ready for anything. *frowns, almost seeming dissapointed* Ho hum… we have a long way to go. *moves over to Desiree, then tries to straighten out her hand as well as her fingers* Do you want to fuck with it’s mind for a while, or do you want to keep it forever? Cast out your energies, wrap them around it’s very being and bind it to your will. This is the same for capturing any being created of the chaos. If you summon one but cannot control it, you will be torn asunder.
Desiree: Cast out my energies…? *She blinks and ponders over what Kalysto is trying to tell her. She then shrugs and tries again, this time taking the man’s advice. She narrows her eyes as she concentrates on trying to wrap whatever energies that she has around the imp*
Kalysto: Yes, cast out your energies. I trust you know how to do that much? *moves to place his head in his hands, sighing* We definitely have a long way to go.. hmm. *glances back at the magic room, then off down the corridor* It’s a pity that I don’t have any of my grimiores with me. When I was first learning this crap myself, they were kind of useful. Oh well, what you’re doing now should do it.
*the imp continues its protest, but soon becomes quiet and placid as Desiree smothers it*
Desiree: *Mutters under her breath* Tihis feels completely strange… *she shrugs and continues trying to do as Kalysto is instructing her. Once she notices that the imp is placid, she tilts her head and stops casting out her energies. She then glances back at Cancer* You wanted to stab stuff, sister. Go ahead.
Kalysto: I just summoned a newborn imp minion from the nether, you’ve killed it’s free will and bound it to yourself, and now you want her to stab and kill it? *shakes his head* Are you sure you’re asking the right guy to train you?
Desiree: *shrugs* Hey, Cancer told me that all she wanted to do was stab something in the back with the shiny new dagger that she found. *She glances around* Considering that I don’t see anything else that is really stabbable, why not?
Kalysto: If you want to. *shrugs* Do what you want with it. *tries to move away from her again, wanting to go back to his room* Anyway, fine. I’ll show you some basics. Then you’re going to stop demanding from me and learn more on your own, aren’t you? *glances back at her* Because, you realise your way of trying to make me teach you is childish, right?
Desiree: *mutters* I’m only sixteen… It’s not like I’m supposed to be an adult yet. *she shakes her head then glares at Kalysto* And I wouldn’t need to go to such tactics if you weren’t “no” all the time. *she snorts* As I said, I’ve been trying to be friendly and cooperative with you. You’re the one who keeps on going with “don’t touch!”
Kalysto: Only sixteen? I was considered an adult by then. I would think the foolish behaviour would stop by the time one is ten years of age. Unless the situation is deemed appropriate to behave in a silly manner. And in this case there wasn’t an opportunity. Well, come along then. I haven’t got all day.
Desiree: Hrmph, I’m a lot more mature than Zach. I can tell you that much. *she shakes her head then moves to follow after Kalysto* You still never explained who the hell this “Bael” guy is. *she glances back at Cancer as she follows after Kalysto. She then tilts her head up to think* Hey, would you like to see my mother practice her magic some time? I know where she goes when she does it. If I can say anything about her, I can say that she makes large amounts of destruction when she does practice.
Kalysto: *flatly* I never explained who the Bael guy is and I can assure you that I never will. *is quiet again as he heads back for his room* Well if you can direct me to a quiet safe area where I can cast magic clearly without interruption, I would like to hear about it.
Desiree: Hrm… Well, if you’re not willing to give me any information, why should I feel compelled to give you any, hm? *she decides to practice casting an illusion spell by attempting to make the area appear like it’s the forest up above* After all, you think I’m completely incompetent.
Kalysto: *stops dead, folding his arms* This is completely unnecessary. I said I would teach you some magic. Let it end there. Make this ridiculous spell go away before I change my mind. *glares* You don’t need to know about Bael. Such would be completely irrelevant information anyway, and would not help you at all.
Desiree: *shrugs and decides to change the spell that she’s channeling. Instead of making an illusionary spell to change their surroundings, she instead utilizes the illusion to make Kalysto experience the chatter that she constantly hears from the astral plane* Perhaps I do, perhaps I don’t. Perhaps I’ve already spoken to him, perhaps I haven’t.
Kalysto: *raises his eyebrows for a moment when he begins to hear the chatter and noises, then quietly sighs, muttering to himself* “”Ni diel ri thero’shan ash’therod. Diel fan’u fulo tal lo thus eraburis…”” *rests a hand on his forehead as if he can feel a headache coming on* Bael is a demon. Droozun is a demon. Helgore is a demon. Kuppit is a demon. What else were you expecting Bael to be?

Desiree: *crosses her arms* Well, why was that so hard for you to explain? *she snorts and rolls her eyes* You should have just said that from the beginning. *she stops channeling the spell* For the record, what you just heard is what I’ve heard since the moment that I was born. *she shrugs* I’ve spoken to several a astral plane resident throughout my life.
