Kalysto: If you can hear them, then why don’t you break them and bind them to do your bidding? *begins to ponder the situation* Maybe you can, you just don’t know how. Well, did… is the better term. Now you know. I’d introduce you to a small friend who likes to scream in my ear and has been chattering in a rather obnoxious manner to me since I could remember, but… I don’t think I want to unleash that right now. *heads up to his room, then begins looking around in disatisfaction* I wish I had even a quarter of the artifacts I kept before I got stuck here. They would be most helpful right about now. *glances back at Desiree, then smirks* “”Osa d’ana’no diel do alah dath O no belore, ri osa, shano?”” *chuckles* This is fun.
(“”You honestly have no idea what I am saying, do you, human?)
Desiree: *narrows her eyes and grumbles* Well, one promised to help me get revenge on my mother before, but he betrayed me.. So, I’ve been trying to ignore them since that.. *she shrugs and then leans against Kalysto’s door frame* Artifacts? Well, there’s ton of them all throughout the base.. Of course, there’s even more spirits and hard liquors than those.. *she scratches the back of her head then shrugs*
Jenna: *has woken up, but is still quite a bit feverish. She frowns, for she doesn’t feel like sleeping all day long. So, she gets up out of the bed then takes care of her bodily needs. Soon enough, she heads up the stairs, wanting to exit the base*
Kalysto: Yes. I had found some of those, I believe. I was experimenting with one curious object in particular, at least until you barged in unnanounced. *scowls* Don’t do that again, by the way. What if I was doing something worse? If you interrupt something huge, it could have dire consequences. Now… what to teach you? A spell that does all it’s damage in one hit? Or my favourite kind, the kind that tortures and pains one’s enemy ever so more as the time ticks onwards? Hmmm…. *sighs tiredly* “”Ni ano no O mush’al… diel ri shari adore do alah.””
(“”Oh who am I kidding… this is never going to work.””)
Desiree: Hrmph, I didn’t rush over to you and push you over. All I did was turn on the lights and you got cranky.. *as he continues to speak, she leans out the doorway and glances down the hall. She then narrows her eyes as she spots Jenna walking by. Soon enough, she smirks then glances back at Kalysto* Come on. *she rushes to him, gripping onto his hand. She then begins to drag him along, intending to follow Jenna*
Jenna: *makes her way through the woods, ignoring her fever for now. Finally, she stops in a clearing and closes her eyes to compose herself. However, after a moment, and within time for Desiree to catch up to her, she speaks out* The usual, Centra. However, disable the lethal force… I cannot afford to die at the moment..
Kalysto: You still interrupted something without warning. And that wasn’t appreciated in the slightest. *narrows his eyes at Desiree’s behaviour* Come on? Come on where? *frowns as she drags him off his bed* Where are we going?
Desiree: *chuckles back at Kalysto as she drags him along* I told you that I’d show you my mother’s training spot. I just saw her pass by. She ate yesterday, so she’s probably not heading that way to get food. *she comes to a stop as she finally catches up to Jenna. She then broadly grins* Yes, I knew it. Just stay here and watch. You won’t be disappointed.
Centra: *speaks out at Jenna’s request* As you command, my lady. Phase one will intiate in thirty seconds.
*Meanwhile, Jenna just continues to stand there, as if meditating for a few minutes. As she waits for the program to start, she just concentrates on her breathing, stabalizing herself. As she continues her meditation, Centra activates her particle-beam generators to form holograms that have actual mass to them. These holograms take the shape of various creatures that Jenna had scanned throughout the years and placed into Centra’s database. She seems less than concerned as they approach her position. However, once an insectoid creature is close enough to attempt to slash off her head with its sythe-like arm, she snaps open her eyes then whips around to grip onto the sythe. Soon enough, she twists the arm about and kicks the insectoid away before moving to attack and defend against the rest of the swarm. For now, she utilizes a series of hand-to-hand combat techniques, utilizing nothing more than her clawed gloves as weapons*
Kalysto: Oh, right… how’s it relevant to me, though? *follows Desiree anyway. When he peeks into the clearing where Jenna is, he just watches, pondering the situation* Something you said doesn’t add up… just because one ate yesterday, it does not mean that they don’t have to eat the following day. Some will get hungry within hours of eating. Not me, though. *smirks* “We don’t need to eat, we don’t need to drink, we don’t even need to breathe. We can subsist entirely on the suffering of our enemies.”
Desiree: Ah.. Mother’s metabolism is.. different. I don’t know if it’s because she chooses to eat in another form or not, but I’ve seen her go three days without eating at times. It’s not unusual at all. *she keeps her eyes on the clearing, grinning as she notices that Jenna has started her training exercises* And this isn’t about revelencey. This is just about having some fun and entertainment.
Jenna: *leaps back as another creature nearly slams a hammer down in the spot where she just was located. She then charges forward before pouncing on a creature next to the first that had almost smashed her. Upon applying pressure to slam her target into the ground as she rebounds off him, she leaps onto the armed creature so that she lands with her knees on either side of its head. Soon enough, she clamps her thighs around the creature’s head before twisting her legs and lower body to snap the creature’s neck. Without hesitating for a moment, she leaps off the now downed creature and moves onto another, this time delivering a combo of punches and kicks. By now, it shoud become obvious that while mages from Kalysto’s world are rather pathetic at phsycial combat, Jenna is not only wearing a sturdy, semi-metalic armoring, but she is also very capable of striking with physical attacks*
Centra: *continues to observe Jenna’s battle. She then speaks up* My lady, your reponse time is down .3 seconds. Are you distracted?
Kalysto: I have better things to do than have fun or be entertained… If I’m going to be stuck here, there’s work to be done. *frowns as he watches Jenna, seeming more or less confused by the whole scene. He forgets about the fact he wasn’t interested and just watches, pondering* Odd…
Jenna: *grunts in frustration then shakes her head* I see… Don’t worry about it, Centra. Just keep on running the program. *she snorts, quite frustrated at her own performance. Still, she doesn’t delay her attacks. Just as she is flipping over one of the creatures so that she can slash open it’s neck from behind, she hears Centra call out “Phase two intiating in thirty seconds. Random weapon selection shall commence.” So, she tosses the “corpse” into the fray that she had been previously battling before leaping back into a tree to examine the scene. She also takes the opportunity to gather her breath for a moment.
Soon enough, a pair of swords materialize on the other side of the field. So, Jenna crouches down as she examines the path to the weapons. Soon enough, she leaps onto a creature’s head before bounding from enemy to enemy, utilizing their heads and shoulders as spring-boards until she reaches the other side of the clearing. She then rolls onto the ground so that she can retrieve the swords.
Once she has the weapons in hand, she swings around to disembowel the nearest enemy before moving on to block and strike at the others. Once again, she shows that she actually has expertise in using these melee weapons*
Desiree: Odd..? Huh? *she scratches the back of her head* Well, yea, I guess it is odd that mother doesn’t have to eat that often. I mean, none of my siblings have her metabolism. Maybe she’s using a spell to cheat?
Kalysto: I really don’t give a damn. *narrows his eyes as he continues to watch* Why the hell would somebody waste their energy that way? *slowly shakes his head* What’s the point of that? And why out here, in the middle of nowhere?
Desiree: Waste their energy? Huh? What the fuck are you talking about? Mother’s just practicing and honing her skills. She does this regularly. *she shrugs* And this isn’t really the middle of no-where.. It’s just outside our home.
Jenna: *continues to strike out at the various creatures with the swords. Deftly using them to block and slice out at her “enemies”. However, she leaps back as the swords suddenly vanish. She then quickly scans about the area before spotting a pair of desert eagles. So, she quickly dashses through her enemies, flipping over their heads when necessary before picking up the guns in the midst of one of her handsprings. Once she has the guns in hand, she continues with her acrobatics, leaping into the air. She then twists around to fire at the heads of her enemies. This phase would continue on as such for several more minutes, with Jenna’s weapon selection switching out from time to time. In the end, she winds up practicing with polearms, daggers, throwing stars, and several other weapons*
Centra: *calmly comments* My lady, I’ve noticed some instability in your balance and footing. I suggest putting more focus and less brashness into your actions.
Kalysto: I think you already know damn well “what the fuck” I am talking about. *nods at Jenna once again, then shakes his head* I’ve better things to do than stand in a field and watch somebody attack pointless things for training. *shrugs* You may be entertained by it and I’m sure she’s very good, but… *shrugs his shoulders* Why don’t you bother her for your lessons instead?
Desiree: *Grits her teeth at Kalysto’s question. She then hisses and glares at the ground* She’s a bitch. Selfish, putrid, traitorous bitch. She doesn’t love me. She doesn’t love anyone but herself. I don’t want to learn anything more from that woman than I need to.
Jenna: *grumbles* I do not need the comments for today, Centra. Just keep the program going. *She then flips back as a creature nearly lops off her head. Soon enough, she retaliates by throwing a sai into the generated creature’s temple. She then narrows her eyes as she hears Centra call out “Phase three commencing in thirty seconds.” So, she swiftly flips back some more to gain some distance between herself and the mob of combatants. She then closes her eyes and as she holds her right hand in front of her face as she concentrates. As she stands still, those who can sense energies may be able to feel the air tingle as she begins to release her influence over the area. Once the counter comes to an end and “phase three” officially initiates, she snaps open her eyes before slamming her hand into the ground. Just as she does this move, the entire training area explodes into a torrent of flames*
Kalysto: *blinks* How do you know I’m not a selfish creature? How do you know I’m not vain, or stuck up? You know what I am, right? *shakes his head* Ontop of that, you don’t even know me. I don’t want you to know me either. *seems a little frustrated now* Doesn’t that bother you? Even slightly? *quickly ducks and hits the ground as the area explodes in flames*
Desiree: *Groans* You really don’t want to accept having a friend around, do you? *She shakes her head* I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with you, but I’m not going to give up any time soon. *She then chuckles at him as he ducks. Unlike Kalysto, she remains standing, seeming quite confident in the fact that her area is not about to be attacked*
Jenna: *smirks as she notices the damage from her first spell. However, she doesn’t pause, for Centra is continuing to generate forces for her to train against. Instead, she just stands up and waves a combo of fire spells to strike out at her various adversaries. After another few spells, she leaps back before charging up another spell. Soon enough, a fire-bird leaps up from flames that form behind her. The bird releases a loud screech before diving in to strike out at the creatures. As Jenna’s summoning minion takes care of a swarm of creatures, the woman turns to quickly cast a spell to crystallize another mob*
Kalysto: No. I usually just do things my own way. *moves to his feet again and brushes himself off* Let me know when you’re done watching this tirade. *lowers his head slightly and scowls* I don’t really want to be here. There’s so much I need to catch up on.
Desiree: *Frowns at Kalysto* You stay here this long, and now you want to leave? It’s probably almost over anyway. Why don’t you practice some patience and stick around. Or, are you afraid that you might actually learn something from my mother? *She smirks* I bet she has much more skill than you do in all ranges of magic.
Jenna: *stumbles to the side as she dodges away from another strike. She then tosses a fireball at her opponent. Unfortunately, by now, her fever is definitely effecting her performance and she is clearly wavering about and loosing her balance. After another few moments, she simply collapses all together*
Kalysto: Blah blah blah… *pulls a face and begins to make stupid talking motions with his mouth while rolling his eyes* Hmph. *scowls and shakes his head, resuming his normal expression* If you don’t like her so much, why are you making her sound better than me? You have a strange way of thinking. *points to Jenna* It’s not a matter of knowing more, or skill. It’s a matter of getting the damn job done. Who cares what her level of skill is compared to mine?
Desiree: *Grumbles* Because, whether I like her or not, she’s still part of my genetic legacy. And my genetic legacy gives a damn good clue as to what I should be capable of. *she then frowns as she notices that Centra has deactivated the program and Jenna is just sprawled out on the field, motionless. She then hisses in irritation* Damn.. *gritting her teeth, for she really doesn’t want to even lift a finger to help Jenna, she narrows her eyes then contacts Sephiroth. Rather than give him any words, she just transmits her position and images of what she’s seeing int he field to him via her telepathy*
Sephiroth: *”Thank you, Desiree….”* *sighs and leaves his training to go upstairs and out of the base, scanning the area for Jenna’s location. He soon finds her and walks over to pick her up, carrying her back to the base*
Kalysto: *raises an eyebrow* You’re not going to do anything? Hmm. *moves towards Jenna, at least until Sephiroth arrives. He backs up again, and glances off to the side, appearing uninterested in the scene*
Desiree: *Grumbles* I did all that she deserves. I let my father know that she’s down.. *she shakes her head then glances up as she sees Sephiroth near Jenna. She grunts then asks* What exactly happened. If anything, it’s not like mother to just randomly collapse. *mutters* Not that she doesn’t deserve it…
Sephiroth: *”She’s not at her full potential right now, Desiree.”* *carries Jenna back to the base, wandering back down the stairs. He carefully deposits the woman down on their bed, then sits beside her, scanning her over to make sure she’s alright*
Kalysto: Are we done, now? *pulls off his glove and examines the gash he made on it earlier*
Desiree: Yea, show’s over. Let’s just do something else. Anything else. *she shrugs* At least you now know where one of the training areas is. I’m certain I can get Centra to turn on a program for you to test spells out in whenever you want. *she then closes her eyes* ~What does that mean?~
Sephiroth: *”She’s not at her full potential and won’t be for a good long time. I’m not going to mince words or lie – she’s pregnant.”* *sighs slightly and places a hand over Jenna’s forehead to check her out*
Kalysto: Right. *frowns* I prefer to practise on real targets, thanks. *flexes his hands, then flicks his left hand out and suddenly hurls a bolt of soulfire at the nearest tree, blowing up most of it* See. *fans off his hand, blowing out the smoke*
