Kalysto: *crouches down to pat the demon on it’s snout once he has been summoned to the physical world, then smirks back at Desiree* See? It doesn’t take much effort at all. And because this one is already tamed towards me, it remains a loyal servant. If you have any knowledge on demon compatibility, you can get your own companion, too.
Sephiroth: *sighs and opens his eyes enough to look up at her* Fine… lead the way…
Desiree: *glances over the scene once more. She then shrugs and sighs* Umm… Yea.. Right. *she scratches the back of her head* Well, I’m certain that’s all nice and all, but I think I’ll leave it for you to do for now. I’m certain that you have plenty of fun with those deamons. *she then turns her attention down toward the floor as she hears another rumble* What the fuck is that?
Jenna: *she shakes her head* I can do the rest here. Just stay awake, ok?
Sephiroth: You can connect it now? Alright. *raises his arm up to expose to her* Go ahead. Do your worst. I will stay here and tolerate anything you have to fling at me.
Kalysto: Good. I’ll show you another time, then. *moves to his feet, dusting himself off* How may I leave this place? I desire to explore and see this world you have thrust me into, before I decide I would like to leave again.
*the rumbling from the bowels of the planet resumes, this time it is more of a low pitched roar as something stirs at it’s core*
Jenna: *nods at Sephiroth* Yes, I can connect it here and now. *She gives Seph a faint grin as he raises up the stump. She then sets aside the prostetic arm so that she can prep the base just a small bit more. For the most part, she disconnect some fake veins and arteries that she had already built into the base, setting them up to be used to feed the biological elements of Seph’s new hand. Soon enough, she begins to attach the hand, being very careful about it. Within a half an hour, she’d be done attaching the prosthetic, she then looks into Seph’s eyes* It probably will need calibration or something..
Desiree: *yelps as she hears the roaring noise. She then shakes her head* What the fuck is down there?? There shouldn’t be roaring. *she looks at the elf* Did you do something?
Sephiroth: *just lies back on the bed, staying relatively still. during the proceedure, scowling in discomfort as neural attachments send spikes of pain up his arm. After the half hour has passed, he sits to inspect the new hand, curious* Callibrate it? How would I go about doing that?
Kalysto: What? Hey, don’t look at me, I didn’t do anything! *frowns* You’re the one stealing your planet’s energy!
Jenna: *She shakes her head* It should be rather simple. More or less, all I need to do is have you grip and move it around while I adjust the sensitivity and whatnot. Once you feel that it’s satisfactory, we would call it calibrated, hm? *she reaches out to gently rub his new hand* We don’t need to do it right now if you don’t want to.
Desiree: *she hisses* That is only a small part of energy. There’s been a whole lot more taken from the planet before. *she hisses in annoyance then glances at the demon dog again* Well, at least you can be happy that you have your…. thing. *with that, she turns around and begins walking off* Come on. I think I know where we can go to look for answers… maybe.
Kalysto: Thing? It’s called a Felhunter, you uneducated lout. *looks quite insulted* It’s a demon summoned from the depths of the Astral Plane and properly tamed to me so it is a loyal servant. Not just some ordinary ‘thing’! *glares*
Sephiroth: I’m fine with doing it now. *closes his fist and hisses as the fingers snap tightly shut*
Desiree: *rolls her eyes* Yea, yea. Whatever. Come on, let’s get going. *she continues moving up the stairs. Soon enough, she walks outside and begins heading toward the nearest beach, hoping to be able to find something out there*
Jenna: *she nods at Sephiroth. She then frowns as his fingers snap shut. She then shakes her head and pulls out a small computer console from sub-space. Soon enough, she connects a few wires to the hand and begins trying to tinker with the functions*
*from Desiree’s vantage point on the planet, she wouldn’t be able to see very much at all right now. However, the signs of possible restless wildlife nearby might give her something to worry about. The rumbling noises within the planet continue for now, but they are not close together*
Sephiroth: *scowls at Jenna’s tinkering, then glares up at her* How long is this expected to take? I don’t like the idea of you fooling around with my appendages as you please.
Jenna: *Frowns at Sephiroth* Seph, I’m trying to do this for you. Just keep on trying to move your fingers and you tell me when things feel right, ok? It shouldn’t take too long as long as you help me, Seph.
Desiree: *Crosses her arms as she looks about at the water. She then pouts and stomps on the ground* That was a waste of time… *with that, she glances behind herself to see if the elf had followed her*
Sephiroth: *grumbles* Fine… *suddenly twitches* You’re pinching a nerve along my arm right now.
Kalysto: *has followed Desiree outside, his demon pet in tow. Once outside, he looks around himself with immense curiousity* Ah, so this is the land where you live, hmm? Looks desserted. *folds his arms* Well, I bid you good day. *waves to her and begins to wander off*
Jenna: *deeply frowns at the information that Seph gives her. She then nods and begins trying to rectify the situation. So, she types in a few more commands into the small console that she’s working with* How’s that?
Desiree: *hisses as she hears the elf’s words. She then chases after him* Hey! Where the fuck do you think you’re going??
Kalysto: Where the f… *blinks and stops to look back at her* I’m going to explore. This place. If I’m stuck here for a while, I might as well learn something, hmm? Why? *narrows his eyes* What’s wrong with wanting to do that?
Sephiroth: *begins flexing his fingers more slowly* It’s better… not as good as it would be normally, but it’s better, I suppose. *glares at the metal moving parts in the hand, then sits up, trying to open the drawer in his nightstand. He can’t hook his fingers in the latch, and begins to growl in frustration at not being able to complete the simplest of tasks*
Jenna: *tilts her head as she watches Seph try to open a drawer. She then shakes her head and glances back down at her console* Still not quite right. You shouldn’t be struggling that much. *So, she once again tries to adjust the settings. She slightly tweaks the hand’s sensitivity settings, hoping to make the responses feel more natural* It should work just as well as my gloves do, if not better..
Desiree: *frowns at the elf as she continues to jog after him* Well, you didn’t need to leave like that. *She snorts* You can be quite rude. *She shakes her head* Fine, what is it that you would like to- *She then stops as a katana is pressed up against her throat. Meanwhile, a balck-furred feline with an unusual long mane of white hair steps out from the shadows of the trees*
Sephiroth: You just installed it, against my wishes I might add. *loudly snorts* It’s stupid and I hate it, but what can I do? If I remove it or continue to say no to it’s existance, you won’t shut up about it nor leave me alone, will you? *growls* Just pick a setting, possibly the default suggested setting. Stop playing with it and let me get used to it.
Kalysto: Pardon me? *glances back at the girl as she is cut off, then raises an eyebrow, shaking his head as he sees the feline* Oh, how cute, an overgrown bipedal cat. If you were bovine in nature I could at least comment on steak. How dissapointing. *shrugs* Let that human-hybrid go.
Jenna: *deeply frowns at Seph’s words. She then sighs and shakes her head at him. With that, she simply moves away from him, giving up on adjusting any of the settings. She then moves toward the hot springs* Very well then.. I need to clean up. *So, she walks into the springs and begins to strip*
Seferia: *at first, only her ear flicks toward Kalysto as he talks. Soon enough, she turns her head to look over at the elf. She then studies him* I have never seen any like you. *she looks back over at Desiree then narrows her eyes* I need to know why the ground is growling.
Kalysto: The ground is growling…? *blinks* Oh, yes yes, that…. thing. *shrugs* The girl doesn’t know what it is either, so there’s no point in what you’re doing, kitty-cat. *chuckles* Why? Are you hoping something good will happen?
Sephiroth: You do that. *sits up properly and moves off the bed, then wanders away up the stairs to try out his new hand in the training area. He scowls in thought then shrugs* *”Jenna, have you seen anything in this base that observes seismic activity? The planet is angry again, if you havent noticed.”*
Seferia: *narrows her eyes even more at Kalysto’s words. She then snorts and removes her katana from Desiree’s throat before flicking her hand and making it vanish* Very well. I shall spare her due to her ignorance. *she then seems to frown, though her expressions remain more or less blank* My name is Seferia, not kitty-cat.
Desiree: *releases a relieved breath as the sword is removed from her throat. She then scrambles away from Seferia and moves up behind Kalysto*
Jenna: ~Centra is bound to have some sort of system that does that, Seph.. Halcyon did have dormant volcanoes. There has to be some system somewhere that observes the changes is seismic activity.. I never looked for them though.!
Kalysto: You sure as hell look like a kitty-cat to me. *glances back at Desiree, then shakes his head* You’re such a coward. *waves his hand to one side, commanding his demon companion to bound to the spot indicated* Are things going to get messy, or have we reached the end of the hostilities now?
Sephiroth: *”I’d like to keep an eye on the planet’s core if necessary. I’m not liking what I’m hearing below us. Maybe another talk with the planet’s conciousness might help…”*
*the rumbling within the planet becomes louder and more defined. The sky also begins to darken as a mass amount of energy is drawn to one particular place in the north*
Jenna: ~Yes, I suppose that you do make sense there.. I don’t know what we can do if the planet feels like being growly though.~ *she shrugs and shakes her head* ~Unless you want to destroy this planet, not much we can do about it growling.~
Seferia: Looks are not always what they seem to be. *glances at the demon dog. However, she doesn’t seem to be too concerned. Instead, the end of her tail only flicks a few times before she looks back at the elf* I have no reason to be hostile toward you as long as you do not attack myself or my queen. Seeing as you lack knowledge, you are of no use to me as well.
Desiree: *hisses and suddenly reaches out to yank on Kalysto’s hair in retalliation* Take that back! I just don’t feel like dying.
Kalysto: So run away. It’s a legitimate strate—eeee!! *suddenly jerks forwards, becoming quite angry and flustered* Not the hair! Anything but that! *turns around to glare at Desiree, then stomps a foot in anger* Don’t EVER, ever do that again. *points pointedly at her, then turns his back on her again* So I’m of no use to you? See you later then. *shrugs and begins to wander away once more*
Sephiroth: *”It’s normally quiet. Thus I think it is up to something.”*
Desiree: Well, don’t call me a coward again. *she sticks her tongue out at him then frowns as she glances over at Seferia. Soon enough, she chases after the elf again* You know, you must be insane. Talking to a not so friendly dragon like that. I’ve heard that one has killed hundreds.. *she continues to glance back at where Seferia last was. She then frowns even more as she realizes that she can’t see the feline any longer* Shit, she’s moved…
Jenna: *deeply sighs at Sephiroth’s words* ~Yes, I suppose you’re right. However, there’s still nothing that we can do about it. As long as it continues to growl and not do anything else, we might as well not worry.~
Sephiroth: *”It’s not the growling I care about. I’m more concerned about it’s movement. Until that happens, sure, there is nothing to worry about, but I wish to be informed when anything else does happen. Does this make sense?”* *stands in the doorway of the training area, then moves towards his sword and attempts to pick it up with his left hand. It falls out of its mount on the wall when bumped and clatters on the floor*
Kalysto: If you don’t want to be called a coward again, how about not moving behind me when something scares you? I’m not a meat shield you know. *lightly pushes Desiree in the shoulder to move her away and continues his walk away from the base* I don’t really care what the dragon has done. Why should I? Why are you concerned about her? Maybe I have done the same thing? You don’t know. *grin*
Jenna: *releases a deep sigh and closes her eyes, trying to give in to exhaustion. However, she can’t fully relax since she’s troubled with the fact that she didn’t fully finish the job that she had started with Seph’s hand* ~Yes, that makes sense…~ *she then opens her eyes to glance down at the water before flicking at it with her right hand*
Desiree: *narrows her eyes then snorts* Yea right. You’re too much of an idiot to be anything like that dragon. Mother has told me several stories about Seferia. That one is cold to the bone. She was raised from day one to kill. She wouldn’t hesitate, I know it. *she sticks her tongue out at him* And, better to let you die than me.
Kalysto: Oh? *raises an eyebrow* So you don’t think I’m capable of killing anybody? *scratches his chin, then smirks in amusement for a few moments* Very well, it’s a good thing that you think I’m harmless. You go and tell everyone that. It will be easier to blindside them.
Sephiroth: *crouches down in front of the sword and picks it up in his right hand, transferring it over to the left, slowly gripping his fingers around it. He glares hard at how difficult such a simple task is to do, and hangs up the sword again, irritated*
