Desiree: *Frowns in thought then reaches back to scratch her head* Strange… I’ll need to ask Kalysto about this. Because he’s most certainly called her a warlock before. *she shrugs then turns around* I’m glad that you like the illusion.
Jenna: *grumbles and stares up at the ceiling, not really having noticed that Sephiroth has left. She then mutters to herself* Hurts a lot…
Rhyderi: It’s nice, thank you. *keeps himself seated on the floor as he continues to add colour to his various drawings*
Sephiroth: *soon returns with his supplies and quickly moves off again to obtain a basin of warm water. He sets all of these things nearby Jenna, and dips a washcloth into the bowl so he can place it on her forehead* Your body has gone into labor. *frowns* I don’t know how well this will go – you’ve barely moved for the entire pregnancy.
Desiree: *grins at Rhyderi as he compliments the spell that she’s set up* I’m glad you like it. *with that, she moves out of the room. She then walks into Zulmire’s room* Kalysto still hasn’t returned to claim that egg, has he?
Jenna: Labor..? *she looks up at Kalysto and frowns in confusion* It’s too early… Much too early. *she shakes her head* Need doctor.
Sephiroth: *sighs* I can do that for you, but… *glances at the stairs* It would mean I would have to leave… and I’m not sure if I want to do that. *scowls* I’ll have Zach watch you until I return. *rises to his feet and goes looking for the boy*
Zulmire: *glances up at Desiree, then resumes working on the ornamental feather necklace he has been working on* Nope. I not goin to fault him for dat either. It wasn’t sometin he be choosin. Don’t try to thrust it on him either – you be makin him resent it even more, mon. Da best way to deal with it, is to leave it be. He be comin to it on his own choice.
Desiree: *softly sighs* Yea.. I suppose.. Though it deserves to have its father care about it. *with that, she moves over to the incubation chamber. She then glances inside to take a peak at the egg* A real pitty…
Jenna: *slowly nods* I trust you… *closes her eyes and cringes at another wave of pain*
Zulmire: Dere already be plans so don’t you be worryin yourself about dat, misseh. Dis egg is gonna be cared for no matter what. I raise a son, I take in da elf until he grow into an adult, and I be takin care o dis egg if it be so.
Sephiroth: *returns to the room with Zach and promptly heads up the stairs and out of the base*
Zach: *blinks at Jenna* Relax. This stuff can take hours.
Desiree: *blinks and looks up at Zulmire* You have a son as well? Kalysto never mentioned anyone like that. *she shrugs* Then again, Kalysto doesn’t mention a whole lot of thigns. *she then reaches down to gently stroke the egg* Poor thing…
Jenna: *tilts her head to look at Zach for a few moments. She then blinks* Who are you again?
Zulmire: *lowers his head, looking quite sad* His name was Voljez. He lived by de sword an died by it. He had jus’ come of age, and den he leave da village to join da war effort. First assignment into hostile territory, he was killed by da humans. For all my ties wif da spirit-realm, I couldn’t do nothin… after dat, I quit from my own position in da war effort and went back home to my village. *watches Desiree pat the egg* Heh. Do you want it?
Zach: I’m… it doesn’t matter..
Desiree: *her eyes widen. She then quickly jumps away from the egg* Hell no. *she shakes her head* No, no, no. I just was commenting on how sad it is that it won’t really have either of its parents around. That’s all. *she crosses her arms*
Jenna: Ohhh… *she stares up at the ceiling and begins to hum to herself*
Zulmire: So what? Natural parentage doesn’t mean shit ya know. If I can do a better job carin for it than anybody else, if I feed it proper and give it proper love an’ attention, as well as an education, would you be feelin sorry for it den? Hell no.
Zach: At least you’re not trying to attack me…
Desiree: Maybe… Children always long to have their parents around though.. Their real ones. I know. *she shakes her head* And despite Kalysto’s attitude, he’s clearly shown that he would have rather had his real parents alive to raise him to. *she glances at the egg again* By the way, I think that thing is moving a bit..
Zulmire: Yeh. It does dat from time to time. Raptor eggs will move quite a lot, an even roll out o’ da nest sometimes, long before dey are ready to hatch. Eggs move, dere is no denyin’ dat. *glances at the egg and tries to close the door of the incubator* Bes be keepin dat warm, no?
Desiree: *shrugs* I guess, I don’t know a thing about eggs. *she titls her head as she hears activity in the stairwell. She then shrugs to herself, figuring that it is nothing to be worrying about* So, that thing is about to hatch?
Zulmire: Prob’ly not. *opens the incubator door and picks up the egg, examining the surface for cracks* Is just moving. As da little one inside o’ dere gets bigger, it move around to get more comfortable. An den it break out, because it can’t fit any more. Heh. *tries to hand the egg to her* See.
Desiree: Ah… *She shrugs and turns around* Just figured after all these months, it’d be ready to break by now. *she takes a glance at Rhyderi’s room* It is really strange that mother’s spell hasn’t deteriorated enough to give him back at least some of his memories yet.. It must have been one hell of a spell.
Zulmire: I don’t be knowin so much about dat one. Maybe it’s a good thing he don’t remember too much, I dunno. As long as he’s keepin himself entertained an’ not yellin at Kalysto for every other thing that go wrong, it’s good enough for me.
Desiree: *sighs* Yea, I suppose.. *she shrugs once more then wanders out of the room* I’ll leave you be with the egg. *with that, she moves to her own room. She then flops onto her bed and grabs a book to read*
Zulmire: Leave me be with da… *blinks* What da hell am I gonna do with it? *sets the egg back into the incubator and resumes crafting his feathered necklace*
Zach: *looks hopelessly at Jenna* So… is there anything I can get you?
*within the next hour or so, Sephiroth returns with Dr. Howlett, having snatched him away from his research in Junon. The doctor seems highly stressed at meeting up with Sephiroth again, but agrees to go with him and soon, the two of them are in the base, heading down to where Jenna currently is.*
Dr Howlett: *glances warily at Jenna as he approaches the bed, looking most unhappy and eager to leave again* H-how are you feeling right now, madam? *sighs* We should move her to a proper medical facility. In the event of something going wrong.
Sephiroth: *scowls* Would you approve of that, Jen?
Jenna: *is still staring up at the ceiling when Sephiroth arrives. At first, she doesn’t seem to notice that he’s returned. However, as people begin to speak, she slowly turns her head to look up at them. She then blinks and looks at Sephiroth* Approve? I don’t know… What to approve? *she grins* Glad you’re back.
Dr. Howlett: *glances at the stairs nervously* There’s… facilities in Junon. If we can get her there, things can go much more smoothly, let me assure you.
Sephiroth: Yes, I’m back. But if you don’t know what I’m talking about… *scowls at the doctor* I don’t suppose it matters. Head upstairs. I will carry Jenna with me. And then I can teleport us to Junon so that you can do whatever needs to be done. *glares* Do not betray the trust I am placing in you. *grunts at Jenna* Come on. We’re going. *moves over to the bed and attempts to pick her up*
Jenna: *groans as Sephiroth picks her up. She then wraps her arms about his neck, though her grip is rather weak. She also rests her head against his shoulder before whispering* Hurts so much… Come and go. So annoying. Want it to stop…
Sephiroth: *sighs* Well. I can’t make the pain go away, but I can at least ensure this is over and done with as quickly as possible. Come on. *holds her firmly but gently as he carries her out of the room. He heads up the stairs and walks out of the base shortly afterwards, grunting as he makes sure that the doctor is following. Once outside, he teleports them to the runway of the lowest level in Junon, glancing over Jenna to see if there were any side-effects on her from being teleported so far*
Jenna: *shutters as Sephiroth teleports her away with the rest of them. She then presses herself even more against him and mutters to herself* Safe here… Always safe…
Sephiroth: *sighs at Jenna and simply carries her into the military facility. He carries her along with him as he follows the doctor into the medical area of the base and he sets her down in one of the chairs in the waiting room* Hrmphhh…
Dr. Howlett: Wait there. I shall arrange a private room, and prepare a ward for a birth right away.
