Sephiroth: You’re not alone. I’m not going anywhere. See? I am right here. *sighs and sits in the chair next to her, watching the various people go by* Not the best of places to be in, but… considering your condition and mental state for the past… I don’t know how many months… this is better than any other option.
Jenna: *turns her attention to him then grins and nods* I trust you.. I always trust you. *she then cringes as another wave of pain hits her* Hurts so much. So often… *she lowers her head* Don’t like the pain. Want it to go away.
Sephiroth: *sighs* It will, once that infant has been born. Then I expect your other ailments will dissapear…. *lowers his head, at least until the doctor appears in the doorway. He grunts and moves to his feet, then tugs at Jenna’s hand* Come on. He’s ready to take you to your room now.
Jenna: *groans as Sephiroth forces her to stand up. She then moves to grip onto him once more* Get to die when this is over.. right? Want to die… So much pain… *she looks up at him, almost pleading*
Dr Howlett: Follow me. I have a room waiting for you. You can stay in there until the birthing room is ready for you. *waves them to one of the rooms nearby*
Sephiroth: No, you’re not going to die. Don’t say such things. *sighs and escorts her along with him as he leads her into the private room that the doctor has set up* Get comfortable here. *moves to sit on the edge of the bed, wanting to assure Jenna that he’s not going anywhere*
Jenna: But.. want to die. So much pain. Needs to be ended. Won’t ever recover. Need to die… *she then yelps as another wave of pain hits her. So, she begins to scrunch down as if that would protect her from the pain* No more…
Sephiroth: *scowls* Don’t let the doctor hear you talking like that. He will put you into a psychiatric ward, and then you will have your mind assessed. You don’t want that. *sighs and takes a seat in one of the visitor chairs nearby*
Dr Howlett: *waves at Jenna as he appears in the doorway* There’s a hospital gown in your drawer. Put it on until we’re ready to take you in. It shouldn’t be too much longer.
Jenna: *lowers her head* Just want it over with… Over over over… Would be so very nice. *she begins to hum to herself. At the time that Dr. Howlett speaks to her, she is still humming to herself and not paying attention to her surroundings. However, her wincing would indicate that her contractions are rather close together*
Sephiroth: *grunts* Don’t let the doctor hear you talking like that. *”If you want it, I can snap your neck after the birth and teleport us back to the base. But if he hears you talking in such a manner he may decide to lock you up. You don’t want that to happen.”*
Jenna: *she slowly nods her head then grins at Sephiroth* Ok.. won’t talk. *she then cringes once more* Hurts so much… Searing pain. Ripping apart. Want it to stop.
Sephiroth: *sighs and lowers his head, waiting for the doctor* Just sit tight…
Dr Howlett: *moves back in the doorway* Alright, the room is prepared. *pushes a wheelchair into the room and sets it beside the bed* They’re ready to take you in now. Just sit down here and we’ll get started right away.
Jenna: *glances at the chair and frowns* Moving again… don’t want to.. Hurts too much. Want to stay… *she whimpers and looks at Sephiroth* Don’t make me move again. Rips and sears. So much… Can’t stand it. No more.
Sephiroth: *sighs and picks her up, carrying her out of the room* Lead the way. *he follows the Doctor into an operating theater and sets her down on one of the beds. Once there, he takes a seat in one of the chairs next to the bed and sighs as he pats Jenna’s arm assuringly*
Jenna: *releases another pained whine as Sephiroth picks her up. However, she doesn’t have the strength to fight against her as he moves her to the other room. Once she’s set down on the table, she closes her eyes and cringes in pain. For the most part, she doesn’t seem to nice that Sephiroth is trying to comfort her at the moment*
*During the next hour, it would become clear that part of the reason that Jenna is in so much pain is because her womb is hemorrhaging in several places. For the most part, it would be next to impossible for the infant to be birthed the natural way, and very unlikely for the woman to survive the day at all*
*the doctor places Jenna’s feet into stirrups and begins to strap them in when he notices her problem and the bleeding. He immediately begins to panic, and he yells at staff to begin prepare her for surgery, then places a gas mask over her face to anethetize her* Sorry, but things have to be handled differently now. *quickly places a sheet over Jenna and wheels the bed away into an operating theater*
Jenna: *was more or less out of it prior to having the gas mask put over her nose and mouth. So, it doesn’t take long for her to completely slip out of conciousness. As the surgery is performed, her health continues to deteriorate at a rapid pace. However, the infant would be healthy and developed enough not to need much special attention once it is pulled from her womb*
Dr Howlett *once in the operating theater, he immediately begins to perform a cesarian section surgery on Jenna, removing the infant from her womb as quickly as he can. Once it has been handed off to one of the other workers, he begins working on trying to save Jenna, promptly looking for the site of the hemmoraging so he can stop it*
Jenna: *unfortunatley due to the battered state that her entire body is in thanks to the Jenova cells, it is unlikely that the doctor will be able to save her in time. In fact, within the hour, she would have stopped breathing all together*
Dr. Howlett: *despite his best efforts, he steps back from Jenna when he decides that she is a lost cause. He sews her back up and records her ‘time of death’, before slipping a cover over her and instructing his assistants to take her body to the morgue. With that, he heads out to Sephiroth and lowers his head* I’m very sorry, but she’s gone. However, she left behind a perfectly healthy baby girl. You are welcome to see her any time you wish. And contact our front desk if you would like to see your wife. We can have funeral arrangements made for you if you need it.
Sephiroth: *just stares at the doctor, before glancing off to the side* Thank you. *rises to his feet, then heads for the nursery*
Jenna: *Since her body had been so assaulted for the last few months, it actually takes her several hours for her body to regenerate. By the time that she begins to breath once more, she had already been stuffed in a drawer. So, she opens her eyes to find a metal pane infront of her* What…? *she then hisses and begins to bang against the metal, trying to find a way out*
Sephiroth: *remains in the Junon hospital area, mostly in the nursery, his new daughter cradled in his arms. There has been little else for him to do over the last few hours while he waits for Jenna to revive, so he has fed the infant, changed her as well as bathed her, and now she is fast asleep in his arms. He alternates between watching over her and glancing out the window, watching the staff move around, waiting for a signal from Jenna that she is alive again*
Jenna: *growls and continues to bang against the metal that is surrounding her. She then finally gets the drawer to move a small bit, which gives her an indication as to which way is out. So, she soon moves to face the “exit” before casting a spell to blast the drawer open. Soon enough, she tumbles out of the drawer and hisses in annoyance as she smacks against the floor* Smells like chemicals…
*one of the interns whom is working in the morgue nearby gives a panicked yell at Jenna’s ‘rise from the dead’ and quickly flees from the room, dropping her clipboard on the floor as she escapes*
Sephiroth: *sighs and lowers his head, scowling with boredom. He caresses his hand over the infant’s head, blinking as he feels her sharp horn-nubs* That’s unusual.
Jenna: *groans as she pushes herself up to her feet, not having paid any heed to the fleeing intern. She then grunts as she notices that she’s nude* No wonder it’s so damn cold… *shaking her head, she quickly casts a spell to summon clothes onto her being. She then looks about* Hmm.. *closing her eyes, she begins to track where Seph is. Upon feeling his energy, she moves out of the room and begins making her way to the nursery*
Sephiroth: *continues his observations of the newborn and raises her up, taking her out of her blankets. He holds her carefully in one hand as he inspects her feet, and then he turns her over, checking out her back. Once he is satisfied with his curiousity, he wraps her back up in the blanket, muttering to himself* Strange…
