Kalysto: Apology accepted. *finishes straining his serve of the tea and tosses the strainer into the sink, popping the lid back down on the pot. He carries his cup to the table and begins to sip from the cup, seeming quite pleased with his creation* Why pass on something like this? It came out good.
Desiree: I”ve never been much of a coffee or.. umm.. tea? *She shrugs* .. drinker. It’s just never been anything that appealed to me. *She sighs then glances at the wall* So.. last night basically meant… nothing?
Kalysto: Did you want it to mean something? *takes a sip from the cup, arcing a brow at her* I mentioned everything you needed to know beforehand. You were free to back out at any time you wished. *pulls his head back a bit* Ow, damn it… *pokes his tongue out of his mouth for a moment, then shakes his head* Too hot.
Desiree: I… *she momentarily bites her bottom lip as she thinks* I don’t know what I wanted out of it.. *she glances at him* But.. I didn’t expect you to be like nothing happened between us either the next day. *She shakes her head and sighs* I’m confused.. *As he announces that the drink is too hot, she glances up at him. She then stands up so that she can retrieve a glass of cold water for him. Soon enough, she sets the glass down next to him*
Kalysto: *flattens his brows at Desiree’s comment and loudly sighs, taking the glass from her to sip some of it* It was enjoyable, relaxing, pleasant and gentle sex. With you. I had you make the call every step of the way because you would have known what you wanted. *shakes his head* I made all of my intentions clear. If you wanted meaning out of it, then I was clearly the wrong choice. *picks up his teacup again and blows on it before sipping more of the hot brewed liquid* *”You wanted sporadic sex with somebody you wouldn’t regret it with, and you got just that. If you were expecting a cake, relationship, flowers, romance…. I’m really not a good choice for that. I thought you knew that one from the beginning? I certainly never tried to trick you there.”*
Desiree: *Frowns and glances at the ground as she considers Kalysto’s words. She then narrows her eyes* I see.. *sighing, since she feels rather used, she moves out of the room* Enjoy your tea thing.. *So, she slips out of the room and moves away to the library, intending to find some new books to read for today*
Kalysto: *settles back in his chair and continues to sip his tea, watching Desiree leave the room* Well, that was interesting… *slides out of his chair and brushes off his clothing, then wanders out of the kitchen to return to his room*
Desiree: *Sighs as she continues to browse through her selection of books. Finally, she picks out three books, one of which has detailed references on various types of demons. Upon picking out her books, she walks back to her room then shuts the door*
Kalysto: *spends the next few hours in his room. He keeps the light off while he works and would be aggitated by anyone who disturbs him from his work. He doesn’t do much other than that, except for maybe check up on his egg, which is hidden in the incubator box in his closet*
Desiree: *silently reads in her room for some time. However, she eventually looks up at the door then sighs* ~You know.. you did promise to come with me to speak to my mother, Kalysto.~ *she shrugs then turns her attention back to the book* ~Not that you seem to care about much at all..~
Kalysto: *”No, I don’t seem to care much about that at all. About the only reason I ended up saying yes was because your behaviour was intolerably childish and you harassed me until you actually got a yes out of me.”*
Desiree: *scowls at him* ~Fine! I don’t give a damn about you and your suffering anyway!~ *she snorts and narrows her eyes. She then flips the page to the book that she’s reading* Hrmph.. stubborn.. stupid.. idiot..
Kalysto: *”And that’s how it should be, you know. You’re placing way too much thought into a lot of this. I don’t know why, but you have to stop it.”* *yawns* *”Do you want to talk about it, or are you going to throw another tantrum?”*
Desiree: ~Hrmph.. you’re the one who initiated things then turned around and returned to doing the same thing all over again as soon as we woke up… I’ve been trying to teach you that it’s alright to have a friend. I’ve accepted everything that you think that others would never accept of you. What more do I need to do??~
Kalysto: *”I warned you that I wasn’t a nice person. And you didn’t heed the warning.”* *sighs* *”Do you want to talk about it? I don’t know what else to tell you. I’m not a sociable guy and never was. I don’t know if our cultures are different, but it seems like you’re expecting something from me… what is it?”*
Desiree: ~Hrmph, you’ve said that several times, yes. However, I’ve figured out that most of what you say is just an act. You’ve said a lot of things, you have a big mouth…~ *she sighs* ~And talk if you wish. It’s not like I have my door locked.~
Kalysto: *”There’s nothing I can think of to talk about. What is, is what is.”* *frowns* *”I don’t know what it is you’re expecting out of me, but I don’t think I’m the right person.”* *shakes his head* *”My door isn’t locked either. But if you let light into the room, you will ruin the reaction occuring right now.”*
Desiree: Hrmph… ~You were the one offering to talk about stuff.~ *She shakes her head* ~Make up your damn mind, Kalysto. I want to try to be your friend and for you to trust me at the very least. I’ve been trying to help you for so long… You just won’t accept it.~
Kalysto: *”No, I won’t accept it. I find your offer of friendship difficult to accept I’m afraid. There’s something about it which doesn’t seem right to me. I don’t know whether it’s you or me, but…. it doesn’t seem like it should be.”* *frowns* *”Even a friend serves his own agenda in the end.”*
Desiree: ~I don’t know who the fuck taught you that, but it’s wrong. I am not going after an agenda at all! If I was, would I have done all the things that I’ve done for you since you got here? That’s a bullshit reasoning and you must know it.~ *She shakes her head* ~Whatever, you clearly don’t want to take any steps out of staying in your own seclusion.~
Kalysto: *sighs tiredly* *”You know what… you’re right. You accepted me into your home and offered me shelter without wanting anything in return. That’s honor.”* *shakes his head* *”And I am being disrespectful for not appreciating you for that. So in that, I am sorry for hurting your feelings.”*
Desiree: *Releases a deep, tired sigh* `Apology accepted.. Just.. try to trust me some more.~ *She shakes her head* ~I still want to see if my mother can help you manage your condition a bit better.~
Kalysto: *”Stop calling it a condition or a disability because it’s not.”* *frowns* *”Seriously, it’s really beginning to get to me.”* *shakes his head* *”I never said I wouldn’t go. So go ahead, by all means, keep mentioning it to me.”*
Desiree: ~Well, you haven’t gotten around to actually showing that you’re ready to go either. And what do you want me to call it?~ *she sighs and shakes her head* ~You stated that you’re born with it. So, it’s definitely something. And it certainly fits the definition of a condition. I never called it a disability, though.~
Kalysto: *”So would you call hearing a condition too, because I was born with the ability to do hear the noises around me?”* *shrugs* *”My thirst for magic is like my need to breathe, or my need for food – it’s there and and it has to be satiated. You don’t think about it until your supply has been cut off.”*
