Sephiroth: I’m not going to cut it off. *holds Desiree with one hand, then uses his other to flick his hair over his shoulders and behind him. He then raises the girl up and begins to gently rock her, also patting her back* Stop crying. You don’t need to be making so much noise now. Shh.
Jenna: *blinks and stares at Sephiroth* I did not say a word about cutting off your hair. I said to move it out of the way. Like what you just did. *Shakes her head at him. She then returns to reading the childcare books*
Desiree: *soon calms down as Sephiroth brings her in again. She then grins and hugs onto him* ‘exy!!
Sephiroth: No. *gently taps Desiree’s nose again* ‘Father’. Say that instead. *raises her up slightly* Can you do that? *”What are you reading anyway?”* *smirks* *”Looks boring.”*
Jenna; *mutters* It’s about time to start shifting her other to food other than my milk, Seph… I can’t lactate forever. Anyway, she’s teething and it hurts. *shakes her head* And you will probably need to deal with “sexy” until she learns new words.
Desiree: *blinks and looks up at Sephiroth. She then babbles at him before hugging him again* ‘exy….
Sephiroth: But… *scowls at her* I’m not. Well, from her perspective. *furrows his brows, snorting* She’s my daughter. Its wrong for her to think of me as sexy. But… *sighs and shrugs* She doesn’t understand. *frowns at Desiree* ‘Father’.
Jenna: *nods at Sephiroth* Yes, I’m certain that the word has no meaning to her, Seph. She probably just associates it with you.. *shrugs* Or just thinks it’s a fun set of sounds. You shouldn’t worry much about it.
Desiree: *looks up at Sephiroth, not really understanding. She then hugs him again* ‘exy atha..
Sephiroth: *shakes his head* No. No… *sighs* Just…. ‘father’. *frowns and sighs in frustration* *”You’re right. I shouldn’t worry much about it. I should be pleased she’s speaking in the first place. Which is a good thing in itself, really.”*
Desiree: *tilts her head as she looks up at Sephiroth* No….
Jenna: ~Indeed. You really shouldn’t be discouraging her that much…~ *shrugs* I suppose it’s a good thing that she has you as a father. Imagine what Hojo would have done if your first word was “sexy”.~ *sadistically smirks at the idea*
Sephiroth: *deeply frowns* *”Don’t even kid about something like that.”* *scowls at Jenna, then makes a huffy sound and turns his head away, sighing at Desiree* This is going to take a while, isn’t it?
Jenna: *Rolls her eyes at Seph* ~Lighten up, Seph. You’re not underneath Hojo’s thumb anymore. You can laugh at his insanity as much as you want. Or, at least, I will laugh at it.~
Desiree: *blinks and looks up at Sephiroth, not really understanding what he’s saying. She then snuggles up against him* ‘exy…. *grins*
Sephiroth: *”He probably would have punched me for saying what Desiree is saying right now. It’s not really something I ever really laugh about.”* *snorts* *”I’m glad you find an abusive old man amusing.”*
Jenna: *shakes her head at Seph. She then walks over to Sephiroth and gently rubs the side of his face* ~I don’t find the fact that he abused you funny, Seph. However, you have to admit that the man had no logic. Hence, you can laugh at what little sense of logic he had.~
Sephiroth: *”I don’t really want to laugh at him at all. I want to kill him. Are we clear on that?”* *snorts and moves away, placing Desiree back down in her crib* Hmph… *heads back into his library to look for his journal*
Jenna: *shakes her head at him* If it helps, he’s technically already dead… *deeply sighs at Seph’s actions* Temperamental male.. *she returns to the bed then continues to read the sections about starting children on solid foods*
Sephiroth: *scowls and returns to the bedroom, his journal in one arm* I heard that. *harrumphs as he sits down on the bed, folding his arms as he ponders what to write* I am not that tempermental. *grumbles*
Jenna: You can be when you get into the mood, Seph. *Shakes her head. She then shuts the book that she was reading* I’ll be back shortly. I’m going to get the girl some food to eat. *with that, she begins to head up the stairs*
Sephiroth: *watches Jenna walk up the stairs, frowning* *”I am tempermental when I am tempermental? That’s a rather odd statement to make.”* *tilts his head* *”Where are you going?”* *moves to his feet, standing at the doorway to the stairs* *”Should I come too?”*
Jenna: *stops and turns to face Sephiroth* That is up to you, Seph. I was going to get some food for the child to start trying to eat that isn’t my milk. *shrugs* Nothing overly interesting, I’m sure.
Sephiroth: *watches her go up the stairs and decides to follow afterall* You’re going to feed her my food? *moves to walk up beside her, seeming curious* I suggest some kind of sweet fruit. Such as peaches.
Jenna: Well, yes, your style of food, yes… I figure you’d want to do that anyway. *Shrugs* But if you meant your food supplies, that would take too much work to get it to the right processing so that she can digest it. *shakes her head* I was going to a human city.
Sephiroth: *moves to the cupboards, then plucks out a can of peaches, setting it down on the bench* Honestly? Just crush that. It will be fine. It’s almost mush and not a food as it is. *smirks* Go on, try it. If it doesn’t work, go to your human city.
Jenna: *tiredly sighs and crosses her arms at Sephiroth* The books suggested a mix of foods, not just one thing. *Shakes her head at him. She then continues moving up the stairs*
Sephiroth: Some books recommend a baby’s first food be made from singular vegetable varieties. I’m suggesting this can of peaches for now. I’m not suggesting it for every meal. *frowns* If I was eating canned peaches for every meal, I’d soon feel ill at the smell of them.
Jenna: *groans and stops walking* Seph, we’ll need other foods later. Why are you being so insistent on me not going out to get food especially for Desiree? *turns to face him* Is there something wrong, aside from the fact that she’s appreciating the fact that you’re sexy and saying it over and over again?
Sephiroth: *scowls* She might appreciate it, but I sure as hell don’t. I don’t approve of being called ‘sexy’ by my own offspring. There’s just something wrong about that. *grunts* I just think you’re wasting your time. Go ahead, buy those stupid little jars of baby food if you really want to. But I don’t think you need to when you can just mash up whatever food I eat and feed that to her. Does that make any sense?
