Jenna: *rolls her eyes at Hojo’s reaction* ~Or, we can, you know, actually finalize the agreement.~ *She shrugs* ~Of course, that is up to you. I’m certain that in a few years, we’ll be able to have Zach do everything we need you for.~ *she walks over to Seph then nods*
Hojo: *moves down the stairs, looking for Zach and Dimitri, muttering in a quiet voice* If you’re not going to pay me for my work, then I’m going to undo it and you can find somebody else… *glares in anger as he finds Zach laying Dimitri out on his side*
Zach: *tenses as he sees Hojo and sends out a sharp telepathic signal for help*
Jenna: *groans and shakes her head as she receives Zach’s signal. She then softly speaks to Sephiroth* Stay here.. It’s for the best that you stay up here. *she then quickly moves down the stairs. Soon enough, she finds Hojo then grips onto his shoulder* I repeat, we didn’t finalize an agreement. That does not mean that we cannot finalize one.
Sephiroth: *narrows his eyes* *”Why do I have to stay up here…? You just sensed that distress signal from Zach. Why can’t I deal with this?”*
Hojo: *moves on towards Zach, snarling as he moves over the sleeping form of Dimitri* You want to cheat me out of credit and payment for my work? Very well, I can undo what I did. It’s no problem at all. *grabs at Dimitri’s splinted wing*
Zach: *yelps and quickly moves in, trying to smack Hojo away*
Jenna: ~Because, your temper would certainly take over..~ *shakes her head* I never said that you would receive nothing for your work. I said that we never finalized an agreement. Now, step away from my son. *She narrows her eyes* I am more than willing to simply finish our negotiations.
Hojo: Are you really? About two or three minutes ago you certainly didn’t sound halfway interested. I know what you were thinking. Don’t try and pretend otherwise. *folds his arms, tapping his foot* I’m not stepping away from my work until I have been properly paid for it.
Jenna: *she shakes her head once more* You didn’t listen to me up there. I kept on saying that we did not finalize our agreement. *she shrugs* Now, are you willing to service our needs and requests if I give you what you want?
Hojo: I already serviced your needs. What I just did was not to be considered as a freebie. Know that and credit me properly. *glares* If you want to negotiate future work, that will be done after you pay me for what I have done already. I could have declined and let this child die.
Jenna: Dimitri was not about to die because of a broken wing.. *she sighs* I am not going to give you something that you can use long-term without a long-term agreement. So, do you agree to my terms? I will give your compensation for both the wing and any future tasks that we need.
Hojo: Ahh…. so you ARE going to treat the wing repair as a freebie. I cannot allow this to happen. You would not do anything free for your enemies, so don’t expect me to. *reaches out to grab onto Dimiri’s wing, then begins to twist it, though right now it is mostly for show as he watches Jenna’s expression*
Jenna: *calmly * I am going to treat it as part of a package deal. *she crosses her arms* You are going to get quite a bit for the package. Of course, if you only want to be paid for the wing, I can tell you where Jenova is and send you on your way.
Hojo: Well I want to know that, too… but without anything to contain her, the information is relatively useless, yes. *shakes his head and begins to think* Yes, I can’t do anything even if I did know where she was. *glares at Jenna again* Mostly because you destroyed my lab.
Jenna: Well then, perhaps it would be prudent for you to accept the package deal. *she quickly casts a spell to teleport Dimitri up to where Seph is* ~Watch over the boy, my love.~ Either way, I won’t let you harm my son.
Hojo: *glares* Fine… I suppose I don’t have a choice, do I? *shakes his head, then folds his arms, glaring off to the side* Just don’t burn down my factory when I do something you don’t approve of. It has happened before, and it is sure to happen again, isn’t it?
Jenna: I will not burn down your work if you do not touch my children in an unbecoming way. *snorting, she then turns around* Very well, we have an agreement. Come. *She then moves out of the room, heading up the stairs*
Hojo: *gives Zach a feral grin before departing, heading for the exit, following Jenna’s lead* Just don’t take your time about it. There’s always work to be done, and with you destroying it, I can’t tell you how far behind schedule I am.
Jenna: One cannot be behind schedule if they have no schedule to adhere to. *shrugging, she continues moving up the stairs. Finally, she stops about mid-way up the stairs. She then opens up a large set of doors. On the other side of the door is a room filled with various riches that have been collected by both the dragons who once ruled Halcyon and Jenna herself* Here are your funds.
Hojo: *stares at the pile once Jenna opens the doors and rushes in to greedily snatch up what he sees* Oh, excellent. Good work, I’m sure some of this will do for what we need. *smirks and rubs his hands together, then walks into the room and begins to grab at gold coins to stuff into his pockets*
Jenna: *indifferently shrugs* Mmmm-hmmm.. *she shrugs then turns her back to Hojo* Well, I do not know who the “we” is, but it certainly isn’t me. *with that, she moves away. Soon enough, she moves to Seph’s location* It’s handled now.
Sephiroth: *has remained in the infirmary and holds Dimitri in his arms, keeping the side with the injured wing up to prevent any stress on it* So what happened? Did you give in to his demands, or did you throw him out? *scans the base and scowls* You can’t let him run around unattended, you know.
Jenna: We came to an agreement that didn’t involve hurting our children.. *she shrugs* At the moment, all he’s doing is raiding the treasure room. I could care less what he takes from that room.
Sephiroth: Hrmph… keep an eye on him. I don’t want him to move elsewhere and become problematic. *carries Dimitri down the stairs, intending to return him back to his room. On the way down he encounters Zach who seems flustered* What?
Zach: Oh good, you got him back… *breathes a sigh of relief and tries to take the boy from Sephiroth* He need rest. Come on..
Jenna: *looks up at the ceilling* You heard him, Centra. Keep an eye on Hojo. Insure that man does not come near our family again.
Centra: Acknowledged.
Jenna: *with that, she moves to follow Seph. She blinks as Zach runs into Seph then shakes her head* Where do you think I sent Dimitri? I wasn’t about to risk his health.
Zach: I don’t know where you sent him, but I didn’t want Hojo to get him… he can teleport you know. And use telepathy. He’s hiding stuff underneath that stinky exterior that you really don’t know about. *sighs and shakes his head* He’s pretty smart, really. He just doesn’t want to show it.
Sephiroth: *glances upwards and nods* Good. Ensure he doesn’t get back inside once he leaves.
Jenna: *cocks her right eyebrow up a bit. She then shakes her head* Are you certain about that, Zach? Neither Seph nor I have seen him do much at all, aside from whine, laugh, and otherwise be weird.. *She glances over at Seph* Unless you’ve seen any indications of anything other than a starving vampire that has once turned into a green pile of shit..
Tyler: *is running after Sephiroth. However, he pauses as he sees the new doors. He then peaks in on Hojo as he watches the man dig through the riches of Jenna’s stash*
