Kalysto: *shakes his head* See you later then. *flicks a hand in her direction to wave her off and moves away into the forested area. Once there, he begins to cast fire spell on the ground, burning intricate circles into the grass*
Desiree: *sighs at Kalysto. She then shakes her head and moves to follow after him. However, she keeps her distance and only watches what he’s doing*
Kalysto: *just occupies himself with burning shapes into the grass. Once he is bored of that, he turns his attention to a nearby small lizard. He sits down nearby it and flicks a finger at it, setting it’s tail on fire before finally hurling a fireball at it. When the fireball hits and dissipates, there is literally nothing left of the lizard to speak of* Stuck up dragons…
Desiree: *silently watches Kalysto from the distance. Once he seems to have settled down, she slowly moves over to him. She then sits down next to him. However, for now, she doesn’t speak to him. Instead, she just wants to show that she’ll listen if he wants her to*
Kalysto: *just remains there for some time, seeming most annoyed about the turn of events. He leans his back to a tree and scowls down at the ground, not really intending to do much of anything else for the time being*
Desiree: *frowns at his actions. She then shakes her head and decides to finally speak* You know.. it doesn’t take an idiot to see that what happened really bothered you.
Kalysto: *shrugs his shoulders at Desiree, then turns his back to her* I’m just annoyed, that’s all. I don’t know what I am more annoyed about – the fact I said I didn’t want to go until you kept treading on the idea, or the fact that it’s not the same Seferia I know. It doesn’t matter much. *moves to sit down under the nearest tree and sighs in irritation*
Desiree: *releases another soft sigh then shuffles to sit next to him. However, she doesn’t bother to touch him at this point in time* You seemed hopefully when you did get to her. So, if it was her.. I’m certain it would have been worth the risk. *she frowns* You really do miss your friend, don’t you?
Kalysto: No. I’m just annoyed. I knew Seferia since I was a kid. *shrugs his shoulders and sighs* It just feels like a kick in the face. Like I have been double crossed. Like she is a traitor. I don’t know. *shrugs again and grumbles to himself* And I was a fool for thinking that everything was as it was.
Desiree: *blinks* You knew her as a kid? Then you two must have been close to have stuck around for that long. *she smirks* And that Seferia must have a lot of patience to deal with you like that. If you want to talk about it, I’ll listen.
Kalysto: *shrugs* Well, I don’t know. *pulls at his overgrown ragged hair spikes* Hm. *is quiet for some time before speaking again* Father was never home. Mother essentially raised both me and my brother. I hated my father for it, but Rhy believes with all his heart that our father is a noble and his name should be honored. *hisses* He was always on guard duty – never really came home. Spent weeks away sometimes, when there was conflict in the south. Father was an Honor guard, so he put his job and status before his family. Always. *scowls* Seferia was just a friend who was around.
Desiree: Ah… At least your father didnt’ completely abandon you. *She frowns and shakes her head* In fact, mother left Father in such an incapacitated state that I had to more or less raise myself and keep Father’s heatlh up.. *she releases a soft sigh then looks up at him* Still… Is it common to have dragons as friends where you come from?
Kalysto: No, dragons are.. well, that’s a hard one to answer. They will more-often-than-not disguise themselves as other things to escape detection, and even live among us like normal people. I didn’t know she was a dragon for the longest time. I was an ignorant naive kid until the Scourge came. She just lived near me and I wandered over to her one day to see what she was doing. We were acquaintences then. It wasn’t until I was an adult and enlisted that I saw her again. Then we were on the same assignments together. *shrugs* She’s a comrade.
Desiree: Scourge? Not a clue what that means. *she shrugs and shakes her head* I don’t think that matters too much. Still… just the way that you are brooding over her… Makes me think that she’s more than a simple comrade. *she scratches the back of her head* Then again, I’ve only had my family..
Kalysto: Unless you’ve been in a war-state situation, I guess it’s hard to understand. But the people you go and do tasks with, they become like family. *shrugs his shoulders again* It’s not really important. That’s all I have to say.
Desiree: No.. I haven’t been to war. My father used to be a general though. *She nods at that statement then frowns* But he never indicated that his men were family to him. In fact, he kinda went AWOL on them.
Kalysto: Heh… some might consider that an act of treason. Oh well… that’s just how it is. I don’t know what else to tell you. *closes his eyes* Is it always quiet around here? I’m used to… well, a different environment. I know the Troll would like the peace, he’s a freaking pacifist who strives for it. But me…
Desiree: Hmm… on the island.. Yea, it’s pretty peaceful. I’ve heard that the rest of the planet is still full of strife though. However, most humans don’t know that this island exists. Mostly because mother actually moved the island between planets. *she shrugs* I like it. *she then tilts her head as a raptor chick stumbles out of the foilage and sniffs the ground*
Kalysto: How do you… wait. I don’t even want to know. *blinks as he hears the noise and glances over at the raptor* Fortunately for that raptor’s sanity, the old fart isn’t here. He really likes them. Like, a lot. *scowls* Tries to tame them. Apparently it’s a huge feat of strength to own a tamed raptor in their heirachy. Though what it is about Trolls and raptors, I’ll never know..
*the raptor continues to sniff about the ground, seeming to be on the trail of something. It then suddenly crouches down and warily looks about. As it remains crouched, it shifts and tenses its hind quarters, as if preparing to pounce*
Desiree: Hmm? Oh.. those guys are all over the island. Their cousins used to be the protectors or something. I’m not fully certain s to what the details were.
Kalysto: I always found them to be kind of weird. But the second place I called home, they were all over as well. I’m used to seeing them around. Though, that one is considerably smaller than the others. If it’s a youth, it probably wandered away from it’s pack.
Desiree: Yes, I can tell it’s a youth… *She then deeply frowns and looks around at the leaves in the surrounding are before looking at the raptor again* However, I highly doubt it’s strayed at all. That isn’t like them at all… *She then looks over at Kalysto’s eyes* Please, even if it is extremely tempting… don’t mess with that guy.
Kalysto: Why is that? *scowls back at her* What do you think I am going to do to it? Burn it? Melt it’s insides? Burn it’s eyes out of its head? While the idea is tempting, it doesn’t acheive a great deal. It’s lucky the Troll isn’t here. He would try to pet it.
Desiree: All I’m saying is that it’s not a good idea to mess with the little guy. These raptors do not ever move alone… well, rarely. *she shakes her head. She then chuckles* Well, I guess we won’t ever know that part, now will we. At least, not unless your troll friend suddenly comes here for some reason. *she then yawns and leans up against Kalysto’s side*
