Desiree: Umm… yea…. remember I went to that city with you when you arrived. That was out of this place. *she then tilts her head at his drawing* Oh, those thigns… Like what Hojo wears… *she deeply frowns and looks at Zach*
Kalysto: *blinks, then shakes his head* Who’s Hojo? **points to the picture, then glances back at her* Those are glasses. They correct your vision, the non-enchanted non-magic crude way. You should consider getting him some.
Zach: *frowns* Hey, no way. I don’t wanna look like that moron scientist.
Desiree: *Crosses her arms and snarls* Hojo is… for better or worse… our grandfather… He’s the one who experimented on our father and made him who he is. If you ever see a greasy old man with a slouch and black hair… Yea… Stay away from him. *she then sighs at Zach* Maybe there’s another option? Either way, you should tell father. Telling mother anything at this point would be a waste of breath.
Zach: Can’t we just wait until mom is better…? I don’t really want to take anything to your father. *relaxes his face, then adopts Sephiroth’s signature scowl, folding his arms* You’re all foolish mortals. I’m a big crabby-pot and I probably suffer from hemmeroids. No wonder I’m so mad all of the time.
Kalysto: *raises an eyebrow at Zach, then tries to quietly slip out of the room*
Desiree: *snaps in a defensive manner* Father is not like that and you know it! *she rolls her eyes* Fine, if you don’t want to talk to him, I will! *she rolls her eyes at Zach before contacting Sephiroth* ~Father, Zach can’t see shit. I’m being told he needs glasses. You should probably take him someplace for that.~
Sephiroth: *sighs and looks up from his book, glancing at Jenna before turning his attention up the stairs* *”Alright. I can do that now. Do you think you could keep an eye on your mother for a short period of time while I am away? I know you are not fond of her, but I need her supervised in my absence.”* *sets his book down and gently nudges Jenna’s arm before getting off the bed to walk up the stairs to the infirmary*
Jenna: *releases a faint groaning noise as she’s nudged. However, at the moment, she is deep asleep and not about to wake up*
Desiree: ~What??~ *Groans then sighs* ~Ok, I’ll watch her… this time…~ *deeply frowning, she decides to contact Kalysto* ~Ummm… can you accompany me with something.. I really don’t want to do this one thing on my own..~
Sephiroth: *peers in the doorway of the infirmary* Thank you, Desiree. I do appreciate it. *grunts at Zach* You need to come with me now. *motions for him to follow and turns to head upstairs, leaving the base shortly after*
Kalysto: *”What do you want help with? I need to go back to my research some time you know.”*
Desiree: *deeply sighs as Sephiroth thanks her. She then slowly nods her head* If it wasn’t for your sake… I wouldn’t do it at all.. *she shakes her head then sighs* ~Father.. he wants me to keep an eye out on mother. I just.. Don’t want to do it alone.~
Kalysto: *”What’s wrong with watching over your sick mother? You don’t want her to die, do you?”* *pins his free-moving ear back as he moves back to her* Why do you hate her so much anyway? You should be happy your mother is even still alive.
Desiree: *moves down the stairs not long after Sephiroth leaves with Zach. Once Kalysto catches up to her and begins to ask her about her mother, she deeply scowls* I hate her because she’s a bitch.. *she snorts* You don’t have a clue what she did… No, I don’t think I’ve ever told you at all. When I was two years old.. she turned against my father. I don’t know how or why, but she trapped his sould in a gem, then left us for nearly ten years. She made it so he suffered for all those years. Then she returned and father acted as if everything was fine!
Kalysto: Ah, so she was negligent… and he sounds like a love-fool. *hums to himself for a few moments* I’d be annoyed at your father for being ignorant. At least they’re still around. That’s already better credit than what my father did.
Desiree: Of course they’re still alive. Both of them are immortal. You can kill them a thousand times over, and they will still be around. *she shakes her head then grunts in annoyance as she spots Jenna, who’s simply sleeping on her bed. Snorting in distaste, she moves to a chair on the far side of the room then sits down* That woman doesn’t love anyone…
Kalysto: *moves to sit on the floor nearby, leaning his back to the wall behind him* Your father obviously finds her of some value if he’s keeping her around like that, after what she did to him. Sounds like the actions of a desperate love-fool. *yawns* So how long did your old man say he was going to be gone for? Want to do something until he gets back? She’s just sleeping there. Nothing is going to happen.
Desiree: *grumbles* He didn’t say how long. I don’t even know what he’s about to do… I just told him that Zach needs those glasses things.. *dismissively waving her hand, she turns to look down at Kalysto* Hmm… Do something? What do you have in mind?
Kalysto: No, I didn’t have anything in mind. I just thought you would have wanted to do something else other than watch some pregnant woman sleep. If nothing happens, that’s all that’s going to happen – you watching a sleeping person. How uneventful.
Desiree: Mmm.. Yes, it would be uneventful.. *She shrugs then glances down at him. After a moment, she reaches down to gently kneed her fingers through the hair on the top of his hair in an affectionate manner*
Kalysto: *keeps his head still, looking up at her, silent for a small while, just letting her scratch his head, neither showing enjoyment, unhappiness, or anything. After about five minutes of this however, he gives her a small smile and turns his attention ahead again* I need a hair cut.
Desiree: Yea, I could have told you that part… *She deeply frowns* I don’t know if anyone here can help you. Father keeps his hair long, so he rarely cuts it. I just sheer off my hair when it gets too long… We don’t have anyone who can style it like.. well.. *She reaches over to gently pull on one of his spikes*
Kalysto: The troll can cut it the only way I like it kept. He used to do it all the time for me when I was younger. I don’t see him having a problem with doing it now. He’ll probably laugh at me a bit for it, but I can handle something like that. *glances up at her as she pulls on his hair spike* You’re lucky I’m even letting you touch it right now.
Desiree: *rolls her eyes* It’s not like I can make your hair look worse than it already does. The legnth is weighing it down and making it look like a mess. *she smirks then returns to massaging the top of his scalp*
Kalysto: I’m sure your fingers messing it up sure aren’t helping. Maybe you should stop. I appreciate your affections, but if you want to do that, you have no right to call it messed up. *smirks* So are we the only ones here or what?
Desiree: *shakes her head* No, we’re not alone. *she points to a room to the end of the level* My little brother and sister are in there. Sounds like they’re playing games or something. *she then points to Zach’s room* And I can hear a dragon eating in there.
Kalysto: Well that’s a dissapointment. Was kind of appealing to think that we were the only ones around now. Could have gone somewhere interesting. That is, if you had wanted it to. *shrugs and moves to his feet* I’m already bored of this.
