Kalysto: I don’t find stairs strenuous at all. It’s not aggitating anything. Thus, I don’t really know what are you asking of me. I’m fine. *seems a little confused as he heads off for the infirmary*
Zach: *”Oh, right. Yeah. I can do that for you. It’s been long enough, probably. Need to have a look.”*
Desiree: *shrugs* I wasn’t asking anything. I was just making a statement. *she sighs and leans against the wall. She then closes her eyes* Zach will be here in a few minutes to check on those stitches.
Kalysto: *moves to sit up on the table, then casually removes his robe, neatly folding it up before setting it down beside him. He does the same with his shirt a few seconds later, then begins to pick at the dressing covering his belly* It’s still itchy. Will be glad to get it off, because it’s annoying as hell.
Desiree: *nods her head* Mm… I can imagine so. I’ve never had stitches, but they don’t look like they’re comfortable. *she looks over him* You definitely look like you managed to heal up well.
Kalysto: Well it was never really going to be a problem. If I was just left to heal, I would have. I’m sure I overheard the old one telling you that elves have really decent regenerative abilities. Just a pity they’re slow to kick in… *mumbles* Or don’t kick in at all sometimes…
Desiree: *shrugs* I wouldn’t put my life on hearsay… Best to get some medical attention when it is needed. I’m certain that it helped you heal up with more ease than leaving you out there to die would have. *she yawns then frowns* Where the hell is Zach?
Kalysto: It’s not here-say. I’ve already been in situations where I’ve nearly died. There has only been a few occaisons where I’ve needed external assistance to heal back to full health. About the only situation I won’t heal in is if I get poisoned, or something else manages to compromise my immunity, like a virus. Both have already happened. *Glances at the door* I don’t know. Bug him again, perhaps?
Desiree: Hmm.. I think you’re rather lucky there.. I mean, you’re from a different planet. Don’t they say that those from other planets have different immune… Oh yea.. Your planet doesn’t have that much technology.. You probably don’t know about that. *narrowing her eyes, she decides to contact Zach once more* ~Zach! We’re still waiting on you.~
Zach: *”Yeah, yeah. I’m coming, damn it.”* *sighs at Desiree’s impatience and stomps up the stairs in a huff, soon appearing in the doorway* Sheesh. Can’t a guy get a break for two seconds? Obviously not, Miss Bossy Boots. *glances over at Kalysto, then picks up a pair of surgical gloves to put on* Where are those scissors? Hmm… *moves away from the door to look*
Kalysto: It has enough for us not to be backwater savages, thank you very much. *shakes his head* Is the human always like this?
Desiree: *scowls at Zach* We were waiting for quite a number of minutes. So, I’d dare say that you did have two seconds to have a break. Hrmph. *she then shakes her head* I know you’re not a savage. But your homeworld doesn’t have a good bit of knowledge… As for “the human”… Zach and I aren’t human. None of us are.
Zach: *finally finds a pair of surgical scissors and moves over to Kalysto, lightly pushing him back in the chest so he can better access his stomach area* This may sting a bit. *carefully pulls off the gauze and begins to poke at the stomach area to closely inspect the injury site* Yeah, it’s knitted up nicely. You’re going to have a scar from it though. *begins to snip the stitches and manually pull them out*
Kalysto: Wait, how do you know anything about my homeworld? You’re making assumptions. *shakes his head* Call yourselves whatever you want, you’re more of a human than I am. And you knew what I was asking. Don’t evade the question. *growls slightly at Zach* Be careful with what you’re doing! That actually hurts.
Desiree: I’m making assumptions based on observation. You’ve made statements that indicate your level of knowledge where it comes to technology. Like the time you met Centra. *she then sighs* Yes, we’re more human than you, but that doesn’t necessarily make us human. As for Zach.. Zach is Zach.
Zach: Yep, I’m me. And if you dont stop moving, *pushes Kalysto’s chest back further, just about pushing him to lie down* I’m going to cut something and then you’re going to need more stitches. *leans his head in much closer to get a better look at what he’s doing. He continues snipping stitches and pulling them out*
Kalysto: *pulls his head back, feeling a little weirded out by having somebody so close to his stomach* You do that and I’ll burn every hair off your body.
Desiree: *softly chuckles at the interaction between the two males. She then closes her eyes and relaxes, deciding that the best thing that she can do is just wait*
Kalysto: *shoots Desiree an annoyed glare as she chuckles at him. He soon gives up however, and just lies down, folding his arms across his chest* Hurry up. I’m going to get cold here before too long.
Zach: Poor baby. *continues to pull out the stitches, then places a bandaid over the ones that hard started bleeding* Okay, stop whining and get up. You’re done now.
Desiree: *cracks open her eyes as she hears Zach say that Kalysto is all done. She then looks over the elf’s stomach before nodding* It does look nicely healed. Thank you for your help, Zach. *she then glances at Kalysto’s undershirt* And I still have no damn clue why you wear pink underneath all that black..
Kalysto: What’s wrong with my shirt? It’s light red. *sits up again and places the shirt on before hopping down off the table to pull his robe on over his head. He runs a hand through his mess of hair, before frowning in dissatisfaction* Damn. I need a hair cut. *glances at Desiree* Oh well, I am done here. If you do not require my services for anything, I shall depart.
Desiree: I was just saying that the pink contradicts everything else about your appearance. *She shrugs* I am more than certain that I said that earlier.. *she then glances at Zach* Does his ear need to be looked at, or is he good to go?
Zach: I can pull the bandage off and look at it if you want, but… *warily eyes off Kalysto, frowning at his grumpiness* If he was like that with the stitches, I don’t really want to get near his ear..
Kalysto: It’s fine as it is. I don’t need it looked at. When it stops hurting, I’ll take the bandage off. Simple as that.
Desiree: *shrugs* If neither of you think that it needs to be tended to, then so be it. *she yawns then walks out of the room* Go back to whatever it is that you do when you’re doing boring stuff, brother.
Zach: It wasn’t boring. You made me come away from my reading, so yeah… I’m going back to it. Though I don’t know how much reading I’m actually going to do. Unless it’s large print, I can’t really see it any more. *squints his eyes as he looks at the wall opposite, then shrugs*
Kalysto: Are you done with me now?
Desiree: *Groans at Zach’s words* Have you told mother and Father this yet…? Actually, you’re going to need to tell Father. Mother really isn’t doing well, even worse than usual, from the looks of it. *she shakes her head. She then nods at Kalysto* Yea… Unless you know of something to make his eyes work better.
Kalysto: Why don’t you get him some glasses? That’s the short-answer solution to this problem. The long-term answer involves enchanting the eyes, or casting a spell on them to warp his perspective. I don’t know what you people would do, but that’s just one of the ways to solve it.
Desiree: *blinks, seeming to be clueless* Umm… right… glasses…. *she looks over at Zach then mutters loud enough to be heard by all parties* What the hell are glasses? Does he mean the things we drink out of?
Kalysto: *rolls his eyes at Desiree’s comment* Have you never been outside this place? *grumbles and looks around the infirmary to find something to write on. He soon finds a piece of charting paper, and picks up a pencil. In a few moments, he scribbles up a rather crude rushed drawing of an elf’s head, wearing glasses and shows it to her*
