Zach: Alright, alright. Go play with your sister, I’ll make you guys something nice to eat later. *crouches down to be at Dimitri’s eye level, then reaches out to pat him on the head* Your wing won’t feel magic and new immediately. You have to work on it. Like I said. Try it out, it will get better in a few days. *”Ear? What do you mean? What’s wrong with his ears?”*
Zulmire: Try makin’ him do anything. As soon as he be onto you, he be tryin’ to oppose you. Always in ‘da conflict, ‘dat be how his mind werk. Dunno why. *moves away from the bed and crouches down beside it, sighing as he sits crosslegged on the floor*
Kalysto: *twitches his good ear and makes a pathetic groan after a few moments*
Desiree: Yea, I’ve figured out that much. He’s a lot like my father in that respect. A whole lot of pride that clouds his judgment and makes him try to take care of things all on his own. Just need to be just as stubborn back. That’s all. *she doesn’t notice Kalysto’s groaning and just remains seated at the edge of his bed* ~Father nearly tore off his ear, Zach. It was all bruised and I think the cartilage was crushed.~
Zach: *sighs* *”Once I’m done with Dimitri, I’ll come up there to have a look…”* *pats Dimitri on the head again* I’ll get you some cake to go with your dessert. How does that sound?
Kalysto: *his chest begins to spasm as he tries to cough. After that, he immediately tries to sit up, wanting to rid himself of several discomforts bothering him right now*
Dimitri: *happily flaps his good wing* Yay! *he happily nods his head. He then wanders away from the medical area in order to return to his room*
Desiree: *tilts her head as she notices Kalysto spasm about. She then immediately gets to her feet and moves to help him sit up* Try to settle down.. You don’t want to hurt yourself.
Kalysto: *”Oh that’s a joke…”* *covers his mouth and immediately begins to loudly cough, scowling in distaste afterwards* Damn, I need to get up… *opens his eyes to look around the room, narrowing them when his attention falls on Zulmire* Wh…. what the hell are you doing here, old man?
Zulmire: Heh. Nice ‘ta see you too. Heard somebody beat th’ shit outta you. ‘Den you couldn’t keep me away.
Desiree: I’ll help you get up, but take it easy. Understand? *She continues to help him sit up. Once he’s upright, she gently pats his back* As for him… Umm… I was trying to figure out how to get you back home, but… I accidentally brought him and some guy in all this metal armor here…
Kalysto: Metal armor…? How many more guys do you want to bring from… wherever…? *shoves Desiree away from him, then tried to slide off the bed, wanting to place his feet on the floor and stand up* Damn it…
Zulmire: If I was you boy, I wouldn’t be doin’ anythin’ stupid right now.
Desiree: None! I said I was trying to find a way to send you home… I thought it’d make you happy or something. Hrmph. Don’t worry about it. I failed. And now two other guys are here. I’m not trying again either. *she hisses as he shoves her away. She then moves to wrap her arm around his waist and help him stand up* Stop being so stubborn.
Kalysto: You tried sending me home when I wasn’t even aware of it? Well… that’s smart. Isn’t it. Heh, I’m being stubborn? Me? Why don’t you stop being so… so… *groans irritably* ..doting… *tries to shove her away again, then begins moving towards the bathroom*
Zulmire: Heh heh heh. Did I tell you? Or did I tell you?
Desiree: *scowls at Kalysto* I would have woken you up first if I had succeeded! What does it matter? I failed. So you can be all haughty and laugh it up. *she sticks her tongue out at him. She then frowns as she watches him head to the bathroom* Be careful..
Kalysto: Be careful..? Be careful about what? I’m fine… I’m just sore and stiff and in pain. It’s nothing I haven’t handled before. *scowls and shuts the door once he is in the bathroom* *”Though if your father is going to stab and try to eviscerate me every time I get close to you….”*
Zulmire: *loudly chuckles* As caustic as ever.
Desiree: ~I’ve already spoken to my father. He shouldn’t do that again..~ *she shakes her head* ~We just need to prove to him that he is wrong. But he is the most stubborn male in existence.~ *she snorts with distaste. She then looks over at Zulmire* Yea, I’ve noticed that Kalysto is a lot of talk, but with little substance.
Kalysto: *speaks aloud* I can still hear what you’re saying… *punches a fist at the door, and then is quiet again*
Zulmire: Yeh. ‘Dat be but one of better traits. Is difficult to get him to get ova’ it, but once he does, things get better. Doesn’t really happen so much for meh any more, ‘tho… *shakes his head, then moves to lie down on the floor* Lemme know when he come outta ‘dere.
Desiree: *frowns as she watches Zulmire* You know.. I can get you a room of your own. All the rooms in this place are empty and deserted. All the guys who once populated this area are dead, so it’s not like we’re hurting for room. *she shrugs* Gotta be better than the floor.
Zulmire: Oh no, mon. I be quite alright. Actually, compared to my village, ‘dis already be a luxury. Ask ‘da elf if you want. All ‘dat is between you and the elements is a grass roof. Water supply be an oasis in ‘da middle of the town. And if you want a latrine, you dig one.
Desiree: *Groans at the troll* Still… I’m certain Kalysto wants his privacy. Knowing him.. he most definitely wants it. *she walks over to nudge Zulmire* Come on.. I can at least just give you the room right next door or something.
Zulmire: *moves to sit up* Ah, no, mon. I be fine where I am. ‘De floor be good enough for me. I never did like these things.. *pokes at the bed, then rises to his feet* However… if you are so intent on makin’ me get outta here, I t’ink I probably will go outta here.
Desiree: I’m more than certain that Kalysto will whine if he finds that you intend to sleep on the floor of his room. *she shakes her head* Come on.. *she then steps out of the room before moving a few yards away. Soon enough, she points to another empty room* See, just a close.
Zulmire: He only be whinin’ about somethin’ like that if he wants to be lookin’ at the naughty magazines, mon. ‘Den he usually tries to shoo you away. *chuckles aloud in humor and peers into the other room* Is close enough. Don’t count on me sleepin’ on the bed, though. I be sleepin on ‘da floor, same as I always done.
Desiree: *indifferently shurgs* Suit yourself. It’s not like I can force you to sleep on a bed that wasn’t even designed for a human… ish… thing… Whatever you are. *she shrugs before pointing to the bed in the room* See. *she then turns around and moves back into Kalysto’s room*
Zulmire: I be a troll, mon. *raises a hand above his head and quickly casts a spell, morphing himself into a large grey wolf with large canines, then casually follows her back into Kalysto’s room* Or a wolf. Whichever form be more comfortable to you, I guess. *suddenly itches at his side, irritated* Though… not so comfortable for meh.
Desiree: Troll? *She stops and looks back at Zulmire* You mean those things that hide under bridges in stories? *she frowns in thought* You look a lot different than what I thought a troll would look like. *shrugging, she steps into Kalysto’s room. She then moves to his bed and sighs as she notices that the sheets are blood-stained. So, she begins to swap them out with clean sheets*
Zulmire: *narrows his eyes* I never hide under a bridge in my entire life, girleh. *moves to lie down on the floor again* What ‘da hell did you think trolls looked like? Unless you be thinkin’ of a jungle troll. Ooh, ‘dey be hideous. Actually, some o’ the women I met were hideous too, come t’ think of it..
Desiree: I don’t know.. Big, fat, smelly… Inbred? *She shrugs* I didn’t pay close attention to those stories. Father’s books were more interesting. *she continues to change out the sheets. She then glances at the bathroom door* ~Kalysto?~
Kalysto: *”Go away.”* *sharply elbows the wall*
Zulmire: Come ‘t think of it, I did know some inbred trolls. ‘Dey were no relation of mine, thank god. They got banished from my village and ‘den they headed north. ‘Den I don’t know what happened to ’em… *scratches at himself for a few more moments before he shifts back into his natural form, finding it too itchy*
