Alexander whined at his father’s words. “But we’re hungry now! Father, we want breakfast! Can’t you check the house later?”

Noemi gave the General a long hard look. “I really shouldn’t give into such an argument. You hardly ever are in it and most of your items are in my quarters. We might as well be wed.”
*”I need to check the house now, Alexander!”* Sephiroth’s patience was wearing thin. *”If there is any structural damage, it needs to be seen to right away. I do not want to risk having the house fall on us or injuring somebody. Be patient, this will be done soon.”*

General Sephiroth tensed his shoulders and made a horrified facial expression before he abruptly turned away. “Ahh… I still want my personal quarters, Captain.” He shook his head. “I need them. I need my own personal space, you cannot deny that.”
Alexander visibly pouted. “Father’s being slow and stuff,” he whined to his siblings. “He says he won’t make breakfast til he check stuff. Not fair.”

Noemi lifted her right eyebrow at the General’s assessment that she couldn’t take his dormitory away from him. “Oh? Actually, I can. I am the captain of this ship. As such, I can revoke any living quarters.”
Noemi walked over to a console to put in the orders to remove the general’s dormitory privileges. “Just like this.”
Azul pouted. “Well tell him to hurry up because I want pancakes, damn it!” She raised her head and yelled at the ceiling. “Father, hurry up! HURRY UUUPPP!! We’re hungry!”
“Be quiet!” Sephiroth yelled back at her. “I’m going as fast as I can!”

“No!” General Sephiroth growled. “I need that living space. Give it back to me! You can’t just take it away because you said so!” He looked like he was on the verge of having a temper tantrum. He stomped away from her and huffily took off down the corridor, heading for his living quarters so he could defend them.
Alexander cringed at the pitch that Azul was reaching. “Sister, do you really have to yell like that? Can’t you yell… a little less?”

Noemi rolled her eyes at the General. “I can and I did. Those quarters can be much better used for other things anyway.”
The general would find that the access codes to his dormitory were now defunct. So, he would be unable to enter the room.
Azul turned around and began to yell at Alexander with the same volume level she had just yelled at her father with. “Too loud for you?! What’s wrong, can’t handle it!?”
“Sister!” Iris snapped, “Be quiet!”

General Sephiroth moved to the doors of his dormitory and began to aggressively kick the door when it would not open. “My things are still in here!!” He snapped angrily. “This is abuse of power! You cannot do this to me! Mutiny! Mutiny and insubordination! I demand to appeal!”
Alexander visibly cringed as his sister yelled at him. “Yes. Yes, it’s too loud. Way too loud.”
The boy curled his toes, scraping his claws against the cloth of the chair that he was sitting on. He was clearly agitated by the noise that Azul was making.

Noemi left the general be for a few moments before she followed after him. While she had not seen him kick the door or start to yell, she heard him yell mutiny.
“General, I am the captain. I cannot commit mutiny against myself. And you will have your items removed and brought to you,” the woman calmly explained. “That room served no purpose and was a waste of space.”
Azul folded her arms unhappily. “Fine,” She snorted, “But father is taking too long. Kether is still frightened you know!”

General Sephiroth growled as he kicked at the door another time, and then backed up to yell at it. “Open up!” He snarled fiercely at Captain Noemi as she approached him and backed away from the door. “Why would you do that? I told you why I wanted this room. I am absolutely disgusted that you would just take it away from me without even so much as a second thought! We have the space – some of the crew are leaving permanently. This an outrage, I demand an appeal at once!”
“Then go over to father and drag him down here,” Alexander snapped at his sister. “Don’t yell our ears off. Do you think you’re helping Kether calm down with your yelling?”
He grit his teeth before he looked at the television. “Iris, have you found anything at all? Can we watch cartoons?”

“You challenged my authority, General. Also, you have not set foot in that room for three months. There is no point in it. Now, act like an adult,” Nomei firmly stated. “And there is no one above me that you can appeal to.”
Iris shook her head. “We’re not watching cartoons. I’m watching news updates until we find out what happened.” She pointed at the television. “See this? That thing father had been working on. They landed a giant ship on it. Looks like they have to redraw the map again….”

General Sephiroth made another angry challenging snarl at the Captain before turning on his heels, storming off down the corridor. “This is an outrage… I am being treated like a child. I will not tolerate this…”
Alexander pouted as Iris told him that she would not change the channel. “Huh? So that ship landed? So what? What does that tell us??”

Noemi scowled at the General. “You are acting like a child. This attitude is completely unneeded, General. It is not as if you do not still have a room nor your possessions.”
“See that ship?” Iris pointed at the television. “It’s bigger than the main island. So when it landed… it made the air vibrate and everything seemed to shake. It also explains the big bump at the end…” She tapped her chin as she pondered hard. “It all makes sense.”

General Sephiroth growled a second time as he stopped momentarily to turn back and face Noemi. “I am not acting like a child. You’ve just revoked my living quarters for no good reason, and there is nothing I can do about it. I am rightfully angry. Leave me alone, I am going to occupy myself elsewhere.”
Alexander glanced at the television again. “Oh.. ok.. So it was a big ship… Guess that really won’t happen again. Can we watch cartoons now?”

Noemi rolled her eyes as she watched the general storm off. “You might as well assist in securing and welding the struts if you’re going to do that, General!”
Iris scowled at Alexander and looked like she was about to kill him. She made a short huffy sound of irritation instead and backed up, snorting. “Yes, I guess you can. Go ahead and watch your damn cartoons…”

General Sephiroth just continued to walk away. He exited the ship via one of the walking tunnels that had been set up and strolled off to go order some of the lower-ranked soldiers around. *”I don’t do menial labour. I am above such common drudgery. Even you know that, Captain.”*
Alexander grinned at the news that Iris was going to let them look at cartoons. So, the boy looked over at Azul. “You pick. You always pick funny things.”

Noemi shook her head at the General’s words. ~You fight with a sword, General. I believe that’s evidence enough that you can handle manual labor. We need all the assistance we can get from those with taunt muscles.~
Azul nodded her head and flipped channels until she found one of the standard cartoons of ‘cat chasing mouse’ themed violence. She settled on the lounge and began to watch along with her brothers, grinning in amusement.
Iris rolled her eyes and walked off to the kitchen so she could prepare food.

*”Menial labour, woman! Not manual labour.”* General Sephiroth was very cranky. *”I don’t do simple repetitive boring tasks, that’s what the grunts do, don’t you know that already?”*
Kether looked up as he heard the noises from the cartoon. After a few moments of watching, a large grin formed on his lips before he began to happily clap. The boy was now completely recovered from his fear.
Meanwhile, Alexander groaned. “Ok, well, maybe not always. These ones are so stupid.”

~It doesn’t matter what you said, General. We still need every available hand possible to help secure the struts,~ Noemi replied.
Azul shook her head at Alexander’s assessment of the television show. “Well shut up,” She stated rather openly, “Because Kether likes it. See? Look at him.” She reached over to pat the top of the boy’s head and then she coiled her tail around him, flattening the spines on her tail in the same movement.
“Don’t wreck his fun.” She suddenly sniffed the air. “Go to the kitchen, somebody’s making pancakes.”

General Sephiroth replied with another growl. *”Go away, Noemi. You took away my personal living space with no good reason to do so. I am off the ship. I do not answer to you.”*
“Pancakes?” Alexander perked up as he looked toward the kitchen. “Really? I didn’t even hear father come down the stairs or pass by. Are you certain?”
Despite his questioning, the boy leapt out of his seat to check out the kitchen. He really hoped that Azul was telling him the truth.
Meanwhile, Kether reached down to grip the edge of Azul’s tail before he stuck it in his mouth.

“Hrmph,” Noemi shook her head in disappointment. “I swear that man acts like a child.”
Meanwhile, Lt. Zack was helping a group of men with holding down one of the struts as the welders worked on securing it. He looked up as he spotted the general pass by. “Hey, Sephy. You seem to be grumpy again.”
Azul raised her head as she sniffed the air to confirm the statement. “Yep,” She nodded, “Somebody’s making pancakes. I can’t tell what kind, but it’s Iris. Father is still very much upstairs and being boring, and…” she stared at Kether. “You OK down there?”

General Sephiroth stopped as Lt. Zack addressed him. “Oh,” He grunted in frustration. “I’m not grumpy. I’m… frustrated. Captain Noemi just took away my bachelor pad. I can’t even get access to it right now to remove my possessions.”
“Iris is cooking? Well… I guess she’s better than father,” Alexander bemoaned. “Not by much though.”
Kether just continued to suck and chew on the end of Azul’s tail, not seeming to care that the girl was not staring down at him. He was content to have the appendage in his mouth.

Lt. Zack gave his general a sympathetic look. “She did? What did you two fight about this time?”
The man then grunted as the strut was finally secured. So, he hopped out of the way to move over to where the General was standing.
Azul shrugged and resumed watching cartoons. So long as Kether wasn’t biting on her tail and injuring her, she didn’t mind what the youngster did with it. She grinned in amusement and patted the top of his head.
Iris began flipping pancakes. She had already finished one side and started on the other. She seemed to be having a lot of fun with it also.

“I think she did it because she mentioned marriage and I didn’t say anything about it.” General Sephiroth sadly shook his head. “That woman can be a little bit scary when it comes to certain things. I believe she did it to teach me a lesson…”
Kether stopped chewing on Azul’s tail as the girl patted the top of his head. Having drawn his attention, the boy reached up for the hand and cooed.
Meanwhile, Alexander got to his feet so that he could see what his other sister was doing. When he spotted Iris, he grinned at her. “Not gonna burn stuff this time, right?”

“I thought being scary was something that you accepted about her a long time ago, Sephy,” the lieutenant grinned at his friend. “I mean, she is part-dragon. Shouldn’t that be a big tip-off?”
Iris momentarily turned her head to face Alex before she went back to the task at hand. With a proud grin on her face, she flipped the remaining pancakes and leaned back on the counter. “I’m not going to burn them. Stop worrying. It’s easy to cook pancakes… just put water in the mix, stir it up and put it on the frying pan, duh. How many do you want?”

“Hah,” General Sephiroth snorted at Lt. Zack, not in the least bit impressed with his commentary. “Yes, yes, thank you for that commentary. I know the situation but even so, she is being unreasonable…. even considering her.” He sighed. “Can I use your room?”
“Father has managed to ruin them before,” Alexander reminded his sister. “And you can still burn them.”

Lt. Zack paled a bit at the general’s request before he quickly shook his head. “Listen, Sephy… I like you and all, but I did have other plans tonight with my room. And.. I’m not about to get involved in the arguments you have with the captain.”
