Kalysto: Heh… They’re still insults even if they don’t hurt. The only way they don’t hurt is if you don’t let them. Does that even make sense to you? I hope it does… because I can’t think of any other way to explain it to you. *scratches his head* Oh, here we are. *sails the dragon over Midgar, circling it a few times before landing on it’s outskirts*
Desiree: *Slides off the dragon as soon as they land. She then shakes her head at Kalysto* I still would think that the ones that I care about and vice versa would respect me enough not to throw insults at every ample opportunity. *she glances about the city* So, what did you want to see?
Kalysto: What DON’T you want to see? A city, probably very prosperous once, laid to waste and a pile of rubble. Slightly overgrowing. And it stinks. Don’t you think something is amiss there? Just a little bit? Why would you not want to check something like that out? Elves are very curious in nature. Don’t question it, because I can’t explain the why of it. Just accept that I want to explore somewhere on your home planet and be content.
Desiree: Welll.. I can tell you why this city is wasted. I wasn’t around, but father told me about it. When he was younger, Father wanted to become a god by destroying the planet. You see, he was following Jenova at the time, and thought that the very planet was corrupt.. Though, I don’t think he thinks much of it even now. *she shakes her head* Anyway, he summoned a giant meteor and it almost struck this planet. *she points up at the sky* Supposedly, the sky right over here was all red at that time, and the meteor was supposed to hit right about in the center of this city. That’s why this is all rubble.
Kalysto: *listens intently, humming* Huh. That’s pretty interesting I have to admit… *glances at the twisted metal* So your dad really did a number on this place, huh? It looked better from the sky though. On the ground, it just looks like a rubbish dump. *moves towards it casually, moving along at walking pace* So people still live here? The living conditions must be pretty bad.
Desiree: Yea.. My father did a number on the entire planet way back before I was born… *she shakes her head then looks about* I think there’s humans who live here. I mean, I hear about humans sticking around in dumps all the time only because they were attached to the land.
Kalysto: *wanders into the city limits, glancing up at huge smashed glass barriers* That’s just stupid. Why live somewhere specific if you’re just going to get sick or if the living conditions are going to be poor? Doesn’t even makes sense. I wouldn’ live in a dump like this no matter how attached to my land I am. Especicially if I can leave any damn time I want.
Desiree: Don’t ask me about their reasons. I only know of them. I don’t understand a bit about them. *she shakes her head* So.. Umm… what exactly do you want to explore?
Kalysto: God, didn’t I tell you already? *glares back at her for a moment before moving ahead* I said I wanted to explore the city. Are you expecting me to answer with something specific? Because I can’t – I’m not searching for anything specific. I want to check this place out, and see what’s here. I’m pretty sure I already told you that.
Desiree: *Shrugs* I thought you’d at least have a direction in mind. *shrugs* Well, go ahead and lead the way, Kalysto. I don’t really know much about this city. All I know is how it got trashed. *she moves a bit to the side then frowns as she sees a nest in the distance* Umm.. probably shouldn’t go that way.
Kalysto: Um, yeah. *stops, sniffing the air before raising his ears high over his head. He begins to use them in much the same manner as a cat* There’s people over this way. *begins to lead the way into one of the human slum collectives* Heh, it smells even worse than it did before. Like… sewage.
*As Kalysto moves closer to the human settlement, a shot fires off. Soon enough, the bullet hits the ground near his feet* Stay away from my family, beast!
Desiree: *yelps as she hears the gunshot and tries to pull Kalysto in toward her* Umm… I think we really, really, really need to get you a hat again… *Sighs* You do know that your kind don’t exist on this planet, right?
Kalysto: Oh what?! *ducks suddenly* Come on! *growls* I’m wearing the same clothes as your kind. I’m not even burning anything. *grabs his ears and pulls them down, hissing* I’m not even that different from you, what gives!?
Desiree: *Sighs and looks around* Ummm… *spots a crumbled house and quickly drags Kalysto in toward it. She then sighs with relief as she notices that there’s still come cabinets and furniture in the house* Wait here.. *she breaks off from Kalysto and begins searching the rubble for any form of head covering*
Kalysto: *hisses as he’s dragged inside, frowning* What are you doing now? I’m not a friggin monster. I’m not even… blue. Or green. And I don’t have tusks, horns, or a tail, so what gives!? Sheesh.. all I wanted to do was check out their town. Perhaps find a good bar and knock a few back. What’s wrong with that? I’m not setting fire to their town. Though I’m damn tempted to now!
Desiree: They’re humans. Father says they fear anything that is different from them. That or enslave and demean the things that are different. *continues to dig through the closets. Finally, she finds a cowboy styled hat and holds it up* Hmm… Could be worse.. *shrugging, she moves to Kalysto and holds the hat out in front of him* Here.
Kalysto: *stares at the hat, then up at her, scowling* The hell? What do I want this for? *turns it over in his hands and glares at it* At least give me more of the outfit this comes with. I’m not wearing part of something and looking like a fool. At least play the part.
Desiree: *scowls at Kalysto’s statements as he examines the hat* Fine! Wait here! *grumbling about a whiny elf, she closes her eyes and concentrates on Nibelheim. Soon enough, she vanishes from Kalysto’s side and teleports to the colder town. Swaying a bit as she appears, she moves to Tifa’s house then storms inside. She then heads straight to where she last saw Kalysto’s clothing*
Kalysto: *Blinks as Desiree vanishes away* Sheesh. I didn’t say actually go away and get some. Actually, wait, maybe I did… huh. *sighs and pulls the hat on his head, leaning back against the wall as he waits for her to return* All I wanted to do was visit a bar.
Desiree: *snatches Kalysto’s belongings as soon as she sees them. She then glances about the house and snorts* This place stinks.. *shaking her head she concentrates again on teleporting to Kalysto’s side. When she appears, she nearly immediately collapses on the ground due to the stress to her brain*
Kalysto: *moves off the wall and peers over her when he sees her on the ground* You look like you enjoyed your trip. Seriously, what the hell? You didn’t have to go and get my crap for me. *picks up his clothes and remembers his damaged cloak, whimpering miserably at it* Okay, now that I’m here… I’m going to buy some damn tailoring supplies to fix this mess…
Desiree: *Grumbles and picks up the hat that he had worn earlier before hurling it at his feet* As if I would have gotten any peace from you without getting them… *she then slowly pushes herself to a sitting position and massages her temples* I need some water..
Kalysto: Water, huh? Lemme go see if I can find you some…. that isn’t polluted and horrible because this place doesn’t seem very hygenic. Stay there. *pulls his hat on securely and leaves the house in search of said water. He soon comes upon the edge of human civilisation and summons up his Imp to go steal a bottle of mineral water. Once he has it he comes back to the house, proudly smirking as he hands it to her* It’s not cold though. Kuppit isn’t very smart.
Desiree: *closes her eyes and continues to massage her temples as Kalysto leaves the area. Until he comes back, she just stays still for the most part and tries to deal with her headache. However, as soon as he returns with the water, she opens up her eyes to look at the water before taking it* Thank you. A lot. *grins and happily drinks down the water*
Kalysto: So you should be thankful. I had to walk through the valley of flames, pass by the cave of mountain gronns, step through the forest of despair and cross the bridge of torment for that bottle of water. Oh, and on the way back I had to slay the pterrordax of sorrow and doubt. With my teeth. *smirks* My hands were tied behind my back.
