Desiree: *looks up at Kalysto and frowns at him* That is the largest tub of bull shit I’ve ever heard of… *Shaking her head, she chuckles* I hope you really didn’t expect me to buy a single word of that. *continues drinking the water, starting to feel better as she hydrates* So… how are you going to fix your clothes?
Kalysto: Great… *looks overdrammatically dissapointed at Desiree’s words* The woman of disbelief is on my case now. *sighs* I know when I’m not wanted.. *begins to wander towards the door, smirking* How am I going to fix my clothes? With a needle and a thread, obviously. And a hell of a lot of hand-sewing.
Desiree: Umm… I think you may need more than a needle and thread. *she shakes her head* But I’ve never sewn before in my life, so I guess I wouldn’t really know. At least I think I know more about stuff than my mother and father did at my age. Even now, they are quite oblivious to things.. *shrugging, she stands up and moves to follow Kalysto before reaching over to playfully tug on one of his hair spikes* And you are wanted.
Kalysto: Yeowch! *glares at her* How’d you like it if I pulled your hair? *smirks suddenly* Relax. I’m just shitting you anyway. *sits down, turning his attention down to his robe* No, it’s just torn really. *pokes a finger through one of the holes* None of the material is worn. *pokes at the hooded part, particularly at the slots for his ears* Going to have to sew them over for this ridiculous sensitive place, huh?
Desiree: Hmm.. I might say “kinky”. *Smirks at him then watches him poke at his clothing* Hmm… Yea, I guess sewing up that would help. Why would you have had holes for them anyway? I mean, isn’t the purpose of a hood to keep your head and ears warm? Just sounds like it defeats the purpose.
Kalysto: *stares at her like she has gone insane* Do you even know what the ears are for? I need them to detect wind currents, sound pitch, sound variation, and distance. It’s little wonder that elves are in-tune with their environment.
Desiree: Umm… aside from wind currents, my ears do all that. *she shrugs* It still sounds like having your ears freezing in a cold environment defeats the purpose of a hood. I mean, how can you detect much of anything when your ears are frozen numb?
Kalysto: *blinks, shaking his head* My home land wasn’t that cold. It was more of a humid temperate climate, even in the cold months. Elves originally lived in environments like that for tens of thousands of years. *shrugs his shoulders* I guess evolution never considered the cold in regards to our ears. No matter.
Desiree: Ah, but clothing has nothing to do with evolution. Clothing is to adapt to that where evolution failed. *Grins at him* So, that still doesn’t explain why a hood, which is meant to shelter a head from the cold, would also expose the ears to said cold. *shrugs then glances up at the sky* Hmmm.. starting to get dark out..
Kalysto: Cold environments…. phh. Who needs ’em. Not me. The point of what I was saying though.. *sighs* The hood, its not meant to shelter from the cold. It was just an accessory to the robe. That’s all it was. I guess it could serve as a means of keeping cold out, but then I would lose degrees of hearing, which are already muted by snow anyway.
Desiree: *tilts her head to smirk at him* Well, I would say that you look much more dashing without that silly hood. But, that’s only my opinion there. *returns to looking at the sky, having fun watching it as the stars begin to show up*
Kalysto: Heh… there are times when the hood is a necessity though. You already broke my image and the impression I try to give that I am a horrid evil bastard, but what can I do. *shrugs, then watches her, curious as he looks up at the stars* Huh. Well how do you like that. *becomes quiet as he watches also*
Desiree: Hmm? *shrugs* I personally never found you to be that imposing. Father does a good job of looking like impending doom with more simple clothing than yours. Then again, people might be just afraid of his sword. *softly chuckles*
Kalysto: You’ve obviously never been on my neutral side long enough to know. *shrugs at her* I’ve been friendly to you since, well. I tried to blow you up. *leans against the window frame, just watching the sky* There are a lot of unfamiliar stars here. *raises an eyebrow as something catches his attention* What is that?
*meanwhile, in the sky, a large burning outline travels across the sky. It looks like a comet, but is behaving too differently to be a random falling object from the sky. It hovers in the air for some time before crashing down in the area of Midgar, completely silent after it lands*
Desiree: I think it took you a bit longer than that… You did try to steal the mako I was messing around with as well. *She then frowns as she spots the “shooting star” as well. After watching it drop to the ground, she shakes her head* I don’t know, but I don’t think that we really want to find out either.
Kalysto: Nothing wrong with that. If you didn’t give me a reason not to kill you, I would have. I still hate humans. I really, really hate them, you can’t even understand it. *shakes his head* It was much easier before they betrayed us. *shrugs* Oh well… *begins to hum in thought* You don’t want to see what the shooting star was? Odd. Humans are normally curious by nature. Dangerously so.
Desiree: I’ve already learned the hard way that… Well.. most aliens mean bad news. *frowns* And I’m not exactly human, you know. I’ve told you that a thousand times over. Hrmph… *snorts* My family doesn’t exactly like humans either, if you haven’t noticed. Though… why don’t you like them?
Kalysto: Humans suck, and it’s really simple. Basically, we got our lives torn apart. An enemy that is impossible to defeat came down on us and the humans did nothing. When we asked for help, they let us rot. And then when we got help from other sources, they called us traitors. So… we abandoned them and their stupid political cause. It was a sham anyway.
Desiree: Ah… *Shrugs* I don’t know a thing about politics. *she shakes her head* But I can promise you that I’ll never treat you like that. *Grins at him then frowns* You know, mother says elves on her planet are all but dead. She says all things of magic were given a death sentence because of… umm.. Chris… Chrishtianity.. I think.
Kalysto: You aren’t a human so you’re exempt from my racial discrimination, fortunately. *shakes his head at her commenting* Death sentence for knowing magic? Wow. Her Christopher-anity religion would blow my planet apart.
Desiree: *Shrugs* Probably.. *Frowns and looks at the ground* Hmm.. There are “humans” here, on Earth, and on your planet… I know none of them evolved exactly the same. So, are they really all human? *she shrugs then frowns as she senses an alien presence* Let’s go..
Kalysto: If you’re a humanoid with no special qualities, as far as I’m concerned you’re a regular red-blooded human – and you suck. *folds his arms, looking annoyed* So yes, they’re all human. *glances at the door* You want to go somewhere in particular? I wanted to look for a nice bar if anything.
Desiree: *Whimpers* I think we should get far, far away from here. *she nods toward where the “star” had landed* There’s something there. I can sense it. And what I’m sensing is less than pleasant. It almost reminds me of Jenova… But it’s not her..
Kalysto: *Sighs* So I’m not going to get to find my bar today? Very well. *picks up his stuff and steps outside* Where to? the next run-down smashed up town with potential for a bar and a market to buy things from? Perhaps an isolated forest with nothing.
