Kalysto: You’re pretty tired, right? I’m not even going to bother turning on the light. *raises his left hand, forming a levitating ball of incendiary fire in it to light his way, although he wouldn’t need it anyway* You should go straight to sleep. *flicks his hand, putting the fire out as he sits down on the bed* In the morning, I’ll return to that cold frozen wasteland and get my real clothes back.
Desiree: *nods in agreement to Kalysto’s words* Yea… *flicking off her boots, she moves to lie down on her left side* Good night, Kalysto. *pauses for several moments before softly speaking* Thank you for everything today.
Kalysto: *lies down on his side of the bed, his back resting comfortably on it, glancing up at the ceiling* What do you mean? *wiggles about, trying to get comfortable* I just did what I do. Nothing special about it. Now go to sleep.
Desiree: Still.. thank you, Kalysto. *yawns and begins to drift to sleep. Soon enough, her breathing would slow as she completely falls asleep*
Come the following day, the countryside around Niebelheim momentarily looses its peace and quiet as a helicopter descends onto a clearing. This helicopter has something on its side which has become uncommon in these days, a red symbol which designates it as being owned by the ShinRa corporation.
Reno: *grins as he adjusts the settings at the control panel to set the chopper on stand-by. He then glances at the back of the chopper* We’re here. Now, you have to promise not to slap him when you see him. We don’t want him leaving because you want to throw a hissy-fit over having your honey-buns cut open before, yo.
Elena: Oh shut up, Reno! *tries to shove him* He is NOT my Honey Buns. I’ll have to promise not to slap you first if we don’t get there fast enough.
Sephiroth: *has woken up somewhat early, his extra senses still active due to the fact he doesn’t like being in an unfamiliar environment. When he hears the helicopter overhead, he gets out of bed and begins to quickly get dressed*
Jenna: *releases a soft groan as the helicopter passes by the house. However, she remains on the bed. As Seph moves off the bed and starts getting dressed, though, she cracks open her right eye to watch him* Mmmm… *a sly grin forms on her lips*
Reno: Yo! Careful, babe. There’s a lot of delicate equipment here. *straightens up and checks on his goggles*
Sephiroth: *hears Jenna’s noice, and glances up at her, grunting* Mmm? *shakes his head* I’m not doing this for your viewing pleasure today, unfortunately. However, I am glad that you are enjoying the scenery. Most people find it more interesting when the clothes are being taken off, however. *picks up his boots and sits on the edge of the bed to put them on and strap them up*
Elena: Yeah, and you’ll be the one explaining to the boss why it got broken if you keep being a jerk. Now shut up and fly!
Reno: *rolls his eyes at Elena* This is as close as we can get to the town, Ellie. So, go ahead there and get our silver-haired ex-general, yo. *he tries to shove her shoulder* Get going.
Jenna: *smirks at him* Well, you are a god. Everything you do is very ,very, very enjoyable. It deserves only the utmost attention to be truly appreciated. *yawns then slowly sits up* I suppose I should give Cloud his bed back.
Elena: Ellie? *glares at him* Oh if you weren’t in the front seat of expensive equipment like this, I’d slap you so damn hard across your face right now. *punches him in the shoulder instead* Concentrate on the mission first and foremost. *hops out of the helicopter* It’s unprofessional if you don’t. *kicks at the snow and heads for the town*
Sephiroth: *purrs at Jenna’s remark, puffing out his chest slightly, feeling very proud after hearing her comment* Why, thank you. *purrs seductively, turning his head towards her, before leaning on her legs* Every God demands his Goddess to rule a kingdom. Don’t forget that. *caresses her leg before picking up his gloves, finishing with dressing himself. His expression fades, and he adopts his signature grumpy/serious one instead* I must be moving now.
Reno: Hey! *rubs his shoulder then sticks his tongue out at Elena* Yea, yea, yea. Concentrate on the mission. That’s why I’m higher ranked than you, Ellie! *chuckles then leans back in his chair*
Jenna: *lazily grins at Seph’s touches and caresses. She then shakes her head* I’m not goddess though.. *she then looks up at him before chuckling* My, I’m surprised you even remember how to form that old mask.
Elena: Shut up, Reno! Next time I punch you, it will be in the privates! *walks away in a huff, heading for the town* So damn cold… why does Sephiroth have to be here anyway?
Sephiroth: *grunts, not seeming terribly amused* It’s not a mask. It’s a facade. And before you tell me there’s no difference, there is. *heads for the door, opening it before he heads out into the hall, moving down the stairs so he can exit the house altogether. Once outside, he moves to the end of the property and leans against the water well in the middle of the town, folding his arms*
Jenna: *rolls her eyes* ~No matter the name you wish to give it, it’s still amazing that you recall what it even was like or how you held onto it. I haven’t seen you assume that expression for.. years.~ *She shrugs then begins gathering and putting on her own clothing*
Sephiroth: *”I suppose there’s still lots of things about me that you don’t know.”* *glances up at the dreary sky, then sighs in frustration as he turns his attention to his feet, already bored of waiting* *”I don’t want to go. I am doing this for you. Remember that.”*
Elena: *walks into the town, raising her eyebrows as she sees that Sephiroth is actually there and waiting* I didn’t think you’d show up. *pauses* Come. There’s a helicopter waiting for us on the outskirts of this town. *doesn’t want to get too close to him and so walks back the way she came*
Jenna: *shakes her head at him* ~I should hope that our children is more of a reason than myself. I don’t particularly need an income or house to live on my own. I’ve lived for most of my life without those things..~
Sephiroth: *follows Elena without saying a word* *”This may sound strange, but you actually come before them. And that is how it should be. If the relationship between mother and father is adequate and peaceful, children feel secure and more confident in themselves.”*
Elena: *walks back out to the chopper, glad to be out of this area so soon. When she approaches the helicopter, she bangs on the door with an open palm* He’s here. Let’s take him up and get out of here. This place gives me the creeps.
Reno: *stretches then hops out of his seat. Soon enough, she swings the door open and looks over at Elena* Oh, calm down, babe. I’m here. *he then focuses on Sephiroth before nodding* Long time, no see. Heh, doesn’t look like you’ve aged a day.
Jenna: ~Heh.. You needn’t worry so much about having me as a priority.~
Elena: Bite me, Reno. *hisses as she opens the door and climbs back up into her seat* Get in the back. We’re leaving.
Sephiroth: *”I still think you should know my reasoning.”* *grunts at Reno, clearly unimpressed* Indeed. *shrugs and opens the back door of the helicopter, climbing up into it so he can take a seat in one of the passenger seats* This had better not take long.
Reno: Cheery as usual, I see. *he shakes his head and settles back down in the driver’s seat. Soon enough, he adjusts his headset on his head before reaching up to engage the engines once more. After a few moments of preparation, the helicopter takes off into the air and begins to head down to Mideel*
Elena: *buckles herself in as the helicopter takes off, keeping her attention on the road ahead* Don’t pull anything funny this time, Reno. It would be unprofessional now that we have important cargo.
Sephiroth: *sighs in aggitation as he settles back into the seat, closing his eyes* *”Talk to me. I am already lonely here without you.”* *grunts* Cargo? I am not an item to be shipped.
Reno: *dismissively waves his hand* Don’t mind Ellena here, Sephiroth. She’s all business without a little bit of fun in her. *he sticks his tongue out at Elena again* It’s all because Tseng isn’t putting out for her and she’s been pining for years.
Jenna: ~I’m not certain what to do about that, Seph. I don’t exactly have much to say.~ *She walks out of Cloud’s room then heads down the stairs to check on the children*
Sephiroth: *quietly* I don’t want to know about your personal problems. Just shut up and get us to our destination. The sooner we get there, the sooner I can leave. *folds his arms, scowling as he idly looks down at the metallic patterning on the floor of the helicopter, following it with his eyes for lack of anything better to do right now* *”I don’t care if you have nothing to say. Just your voice is decent enough.”*
Elena: Goddamnit Reno! *punches him in the shoulder again*
Jenna: ~Technically.. this isn’t my voice. Hmm.. I wonder.. if I concentrate hard enough, can I make my telepathic voice feel like someone else’s? Hmm.. probably something that you can do more likely. I’m not that good with this sort of thing.~
Reno: *yelps and frowns at Elena* Yo! Stop doing that! You want to crash?
Sephiroth: *”You know damn well that’s not what I meant.”* *sighs with disaapointment* *”Don’t worry about it. If you do not want to talk with me to keep me from going insane in here, that’s fine. Go tend to the children and make sure they get fed this morning. Iris’s supplies are still in that other house. And make Zach goes hunting for the dragon.”*
Elena: No, do you? Good. So stop saying such things and drive.
Jenna: ~Hrmph, I was conversing with you quite fine. I was offering up a valid point to consider, since these aren’t really voices.~ *she shrugs* ~This children seem to be fine, as far as I can see.~
Reno: *frowns at Elena then sighs*
Sephiroth: *”No? What would you call it then?”* *turns his attention out the window, finding that watching the world going by underneath him is slightly more interesting than watching the floor. He also realises his seat-belt isn’t done up, and does so almost immediately, relaxing again*
Elena: So what’s the next mission after we deliver Sephiroth to the boss?
