Desiree: *moans with discontent as Kalysto slides out from under her. She then shakes her head before glancing out the window* Huh? Hawkstriders? What are those? *spotting the race, she tilts her head* Umm.. those are chocobos. They’re like ostriches from Earth.. kinda.. not really. But they’re not called hawkstriders.
Kalysto: Ostriches? Chocobos? I will have to look them up. But those… they sure as hell look like hawkstriders to me. Its like a big bird you ride on. It has brightly coloured plumes, like those guys. But I don’t know if you eat them. Some like to eat strider meat. Not me though, I much prefer bacon. Or boar meat in general.
Desiree: Well, father killed one once and fed us the meat. So, yea, I would say that you can eat them if you want. *she shrugs* I don’t know what else to tell you, Kalysto. Those are definitely chocobos. *yawns once more then grunts as the ride jolts to a stop*
Kalysto: *grunts* They really need to do something about that… *moves to his feet and pushes open the door, glancing back at her* Don’t fall on me again this time. *waits for her* OK, what do you want to do now? Do you want to look around this fake place, or do you want to sleep?
Desiree: *yawns as she gets to her feet. She then grumbles* I don’t plan on it… *she then steps out of the cart before moving to his side* If you don’t mind, I would really like to sleep now.
Kalysto: Sure thing. *moves to the end of the platform, narrowing his eyes at the pipe. He looks around, seeming to be searching for something* How do we get out of here? I see no stairs… nor a path. *raises an eyebrow* This isn’t a very practical place.
Desiree: *Groans* Why do you keep on asking me these- *she then yelps as soneone jumps out of one of the shoots. Startled, she quickly moves to grip onto Kaysto, hugging herself up against him*
Kalysto: *stares at her, mostly confused at her reaction. He then glances at the pipe, frowning* They… expect me to jump down there? *mumbles* But it would mess up my hair… *winces at the thought, then tries to nudge her toward the pipe* Go on. You first.
Desiree: *yelps as she’s shoved ahead of Kalysto* You hair really doesn’t need to be perfect if we’re just going to sleep… *She then looks over at the various openings* Which one though? Where are we going again?
Kalysto: I don’t even know. *stares at the pipes* Things were so much easier to identify from the air. *glances at a guide off to one side and raises an eyebrow* Ghost Square ? What ridiculousness – who would ever name their hotel that. Oh well. *peers in the pipe, looking apprehensive* You first.
Desiree: Ghost square? Yea, I guess that makes sense. You did say that it looks like a graveyard. *she moves over to the hole and stares down at it. She then shrugs* Here goes nothing.. *with that, she leaps into the tunnel. Upon exiting the shoot, she grunts in annoyance and just barely manages to keep her footing* There has to be another way than that..
Kalysto: *jumps down the hole, slipping and losing his balance part way through. He begins to harmlessly tumble down the tunnel, landing in a heap at the bottom of it once on the other side* And that’s meant to be fun….? Fun, my ass…
Desiree: *jumps back as Kalysto tumbles out of the shoot. She then shakes her head before moving over to his side and offering a hand* Yea, it wasn’t that fun for me either. Do you need help?
Kalysto: No, not really. *moves to his feet again, dusting himself off with a low grumble* Last time I ever do that… that’s even worse than Mage portals. Sheesh. Kay, I’m done whining now – let’s to to the hotel. But first, as promised… *raises his hands, summoning his imp from the Nether. Once he is summoned, he picks it up and pokes it in the belly* OK – you’re going to do something for me. If you do it, I’ll let you blow up something…. *glances back at the pipes*
Desiree: ~We won’t be able to get out of here if you blow them up, Kalysto..~ *She sighs and shakes her head. She then wanders away toward the hotel, leaving Kalysto to his own devices for now. Soon enough, she steps into the foyer and looks about* Hmm..
Kalysto: *”Well, maybe you have a better way of bribing a small demon into doing what you want it to do? There are two ways of taming a demon. The first is by dominance. The second is by respect. I prefer the latter, as a slave seeks to escape, but a willing servant will never rebel.”* *moves inside the building and sets the imp on the floor* You know what to do.
Kuppit: *bounds away happily, springing onto some furniture before hiding behind a pot-plant*
Desiree: ~I was only saying that if you let him blow up those tunnels, we’ll be stuck in here.~ *She shakes her head then walks toward the counter and narrows her eyes as she sees the keys out in the open* Hmm… *gives Kalysto a side-ways glance. She then begins to telekineticly grab one of the keys and move it about behind the clerk’s back*
Kalysto: *watches Desiree’s tactics, vaguely impressed with her idea. He stays rather quiet, but leans against the doorframe, waiting for his imp to do it’s job. Unfortunately for him, it is more interested in playing with leaves than it is in helping him*
Desiree: *casually moves toward the stairs, allowing the keys to “fly near the ceiling and out of the sight of the clerk. As she reaches the stairs, she steps out of sight and allows the keys that she’s stolen to land right in the palm of her right hand* Easy..
Kalysto: *nods* *”Good work. I’ll be sure to give you a cookie when we’re in our room.”* *stares at Kuppit, then loudly hisses as he knocks over the potted-plant* Stop that! *glares at the bouncing imp, then raises a hand out towards it, blasting it with a large conflageration plume of fire* Back to the Nether with you….
Desiree: ~Give me a… cookie..? Right..~ *she shakes her head then looks at the keys that she had taken* 213.. huh…? *she glances at the signs at the end of the stairs* Hmm.. I guess it’s this way. *points to her right then glances down at Kalysto* You coming?
Kalysto: *kicks at the burned patch in the lobby* Yeah. What choice do I have really? *follows her attention to the stairs and shrugs* Is 213 classy? Lets hope its better than that dump we were in before, huh? *heads for the stairs, pushing past her*
Desiree: *tilts her head as he pushes past her. She then glances down the stairs to insure that no one is paying undue attention to them* It’s amazing that no one’s cared about your ears. Truly amazing. *she shrugs then glances up as she finally reaches the room. Soon enough, she unlocks the door then slips inside*
Kalysto: I don’t care if they do notice my ears. *thinks for a moment* They also might not care because it’s late, you know? Just a thought. *pushes past her and walks into the room, glaring slightly at the room’s theme* Oh great. Ridiculousness.
