Desiree: *had already wandered away from Kalysto by now, so she doesn’t hear any of his rant. Instead, she just pulls her knees up against her chest and wraps her arms about them. After a few minutes, she presses her face against her knees and begins to quietly cry because Kalysto had managed to make her remember again, and she remembers seeing her home start to fall apart earlier on*
Kalysto: *rolls his eyes and moves to stand in front of her* You want to fight it, don’t you? At least answer that one for me, huh? Because I don’t know what I should do with you right now.
Desiree: *Freezes up as she hears Kalysto’s voice, not having wanted to have anyone see her cry. Sniffling for a moment, she lowly lifts her head to look up at him* If it makes you feel better… I’m not listening to her. *she then looks at the ground* Just go.. I have nothing to go to. I should just disappear..
Kalysto: You’re not? But haven’t you been under her influence this entire time? *mutters* Oh for fuck’s sake.. *growls* What the hell do you think I was trying to do? Why didn’t you SAY anything?
Desiree: Does it matter? You gave the answers you wanted to give.. I don’t have anything to go back to but scorn… Just let me disappear. *whimpers and moves to curl up on herself once more*
Kalysto: Oh get over yourself. What the hell do you actually want? I came here offering you a way to freedom, and you didn’t say shit. Now you don’t even want that? Desiree, answer me plainly and simply – are you being mind controlled, or not? I came to get you out of it. That’s all. I’m not giving you a reason why, that’s stupid. I just want to know if I actually did anything.
Desiree: I told you already… I stopped listening to her a bit ago. Doesn’t mean I want to go home. *sniffles and resumes crying* Just go. You don’t really care…
Kalysto: No, I don’t care if you’re not even interested in trying to help yourself. *folds his arms* What do you want, a kiss, a hug, and a pat on the back to tell you everything is OK? You’re not going to get anything from me. You don’t even appreciate the fact I’m trying to save your ass, what makes you think you deserve anything more?
Desiree: *softly speaks between sobs* You’re right.. I don’t deserve anything. Just go, already. You don’t need to rub it in.. Just go. I’m weak and pathetic, just like you always thought of me.
Jenova: *meanwhile, she has almost absorbed as much energy she needs to complete her transformation, and begins sending pulsing signals into the sky at a more frequent rate. She also begins to disturb the rubble, preparing to move out of it altogether*
Kalysto: I’m not rubbing it in. I just think your ‘pity me’ attitude is pathetic. Where the hell is your spine? Stand up and show everybody you’re actually worth something.
Desiree: I don’t have one.. I’m not worth anything. You should know by now. *whimpers* I’m not like you, Kalysto.. I’m just a worthless whiny girl. And now… probably most of my family is hurt or dead.. What do I have to stand up for?
Kalysto: Did I say you were worthless? No, I did not. *grunts* I’m trying to make you see, but you don’t want to. *moves over to her, poking her shoulder* I can’t tell you what you have to stand up for, you’re going to have to figure that one out for yourself. But you’re certainly not going to acheive anything while you’re sitting there in the middle of nowhere doing nothing. You wouldn’t let me do that, so why should I let you?
Desiree: But… *Sniffles and slowly lifts her head to look up at him. Her eyes are quite red now since she’s crying. After staring at him for a few seconds, she suddenly moves forward to latch her arms about his neck and shoulders before whimpering and crying into his chest* ..I’m not strong like you..
Jenna: *has had a lazy content smile on her face as Seph carrier her up north. However, that smile vanishes as she notices the pulses that Jenova is putting out* What the hell..?
Kalysto: *freezes, unsure of what to do with somebody in this sort of situation. He releases a tired sigh though, and pats her back* Do you think I’m particularly strong? I mean, just look at how much you were able to push me around. You don’t even want to look at my back right now.
Sephiroth: *scowls* I don’t know what’s going on, but I can tell you now, it’s most likely not very good…
Desiree: *Continues to weep into Kalysto’s chest, not seeming to care that the elf is more or less naked. However, she slowly shakes her head* That strength doesn’t matter… *Sniffles and coughs slightly due to the amount that she’s worked herself up* You’re much stronger where it counts.. I’m not a fighter, or soldier.. or anything like that.. I’m just a stupid whiny girl, but you.. You know how to deal with this stuff, don’t you?
Jenna: *nods in agreement to Sephiroth’s statement* No matter, the two of us should be able to handle whatever the hell that was. *she begins trying to wiggle out of his grasp* Go ahead and drop me. I can transform before I hit the ground. I’ve done it before.
Sephiroth: Drop you? *grunts* Alright, but don’t blame me if you hit the ground and become a spectacular piece of art. *shakes his head as he ascends higher into the air, releasing her from his grasp once high enough*
Kalysto: Do I look like I know how to handle it?
Jenova: *sends another wave of energy light into the sky, then begins to rise from the rubble, shifting her forms into that of a modified version of her SYNTHESIS form before rising into the air, preparing to leave the crater altogether*
Desiree: *coughs and hic-ups once more. She then lifts her head to look up at him before slowly nodding her head* You’ve been through so much more than I can imagine..
Jenna: *takes a deep breath as Sephiroth drops her, combating the instinct to panic while falling. Instead, she just calmly thinks of her transformation spells before her shape begins to shift into her more draconic being. She works on this change as quickly as possible. In fact, she ony flares open her wings and rights herself in the air just a few meters away from having hit the ground. After catching an updraft to carry her back up to Seph’s level, she looks out toward Jenova and frowns* She’s not supposed to be that large..
Kalysto: *scowls* Why does shit that happened matter? It really doesn’t. It’s all in how you deal with it.
Sephiroth: *watches Jenna fall out of the sky, half expecting her to go splat. When she ascends into the sky again, he seems somewhat relieved, at least until she makes her comment* Indeed. How is that so? *shakes his head* Just what is she doing anyway?
Jenova: *departs the crater, then begins to fly south, seeming to be looking for an open clearing of land*
Desiree: *lowers her head and shakes it* That’s why you’re stronger.. You can handle these things.. I can’t. *whimpers and presses her face against his chest once more* You’re so much better than I..
Jenna: Who the fuck cares what she’s doing? *snorts in irritation* How are we going to kill her? You do have a plan, right?
Sephiroth: I was… We already collapsed the crater in on itself. That was as much planning as I had done so far. *deeply frowns* I didn’t know or anticipate that she would do anything like this. I don’t even know what’s going on right now…
Kalysto: Why the fuck do you keep saying that?
Desiree: Because it’s true. *sniffles then finally steps away from him* You probably want to leave… You kept on saying how you wanted to go before.. *reaches up to swipe the tears away from her eyes*
Jenna: *groans* Wonderful… Well, you’re her “son”. What weakness should we aim for? You have to have some sort of idea..
Sephiroth: I have about as much idea as you do right now. *scowls* I’ve never actually seen her do that before… *watches Jenova fly away from the crater, looking quite hopeless* This one is new to me.
Kalysto: *rolls his eyes at her* What do you want from me? A pat on the back and for me to tell you everything’s OK? Don’t even try that. But seriously, shut up. Stop saying that shit. You’re not doing anything constructive with it, and it’s not helping.
Desiree: *lowers her head* Why are you still here…?
Jenna: *groans in frustration. She then hisses in frustration* Well, fuck it then. No point in just hovering here and staring at her. *with that, she swoops forward and glides toward Jenova. As soon as she gets in range of the alien, she straightens up to hover in the air once more before concentrating on forming a spell that would make the sky rain down brimstone upon Jenova*
Kalysto: Are you stupid or something? Why do you think I’ve been here the entire time? *seems quite frustrated now* Just get off your ass and do something worthwhile. Stop moping. It’s pathetic. *shakes his head* I’m not telling you it all again. Just MOVE already.
Jenova: *hisses in anger and continues to fly south, curling up her back parts over herself in order to protect and shield herself from the incoming downpour*
Desiree: *shakes her head* I don’t know why you’re still here at all. You keep on saying that you’re leaving, but you don’t leave. *sighs* You won’t let me just vanish, will you?
Jenna: *Stares at Jenova as the alien is hit by the spell. She then hisses* Tha- That was one of my strongest spells! She wasn’t even dented?! *Growls* How the fuck are we supposed to defeat that??
