Desiree: *Groans* “Look, I’m sorry. Ok? I’m sorry.. I’ve been trying to say that over and over again.~ *She shakes her head* ~What will it take to convince you?~
Kalysto: *”Not very much. Just time, really.”* *sighs* *”I don’t much like issuing advice when its asked for, and then having it rejected. Worse, I have to put up with the effects of your decision, so you should have doubly thought it through. I’m annoyed that you didn’t consider my thoughts, or me at all, really.”*
Desiree: “You did pick out the bottle.. You didn’t tell me anything else about what to do until after I started drinking from it, Kalysto…” *she shakes her head* “Seriously, you only started saying objects after I already drank some of the stuff.”
Kalysto: *”So you keep saying. Shut up about it already, huh? Just sleep it off and hope to god the Paladin gets my body back so I can finally leave. Then you can resume destroying yourself however you want.”*
Desiree: *whimpers, lowering her head* “I’m not trying to destroy myself… I’m not doing that at all..” *sighs* “You hate me, don’t you..?”
Kalysto: *”What? There’s a difference between the two you know.”* *scowls* *”I’m annoyed because of your decision. Do you really want me to say it again and again just so you can keep telling me the same thing again and again? It’s over and it’s done. Just fucking shut up about it now.”*
Desiree: “I just don’t like having you angry at me… I thought you approved at first. I seriously did. You didn’t give me any instruction when you first picked out the bottle…” *is silent for several minutes. She then suddenly blurts out* We’re destined to be doom aren’t we..?
Kalysto: If by that you mean, are we destined to go to hell? The answer is, of course, yes. *mutters* I’m a fucking Warlock. My entire purpose is to bow to the might of the demon and then abuse the hell out of it to do my bidding. I’m not exactly a saint.
Desiree: *shakes her head* No, not that… *Sighs and looks up at the ceiling* Elvesh.. “You guys live like forever, right? So, even if I.. love you.. It’s destined not to be because I’ll just grow old and die on you. RIght?”
Kalysto: *blinks* Now you’re just talking jibberish. *shakes his head, thinking for a few moments. Although Desiree can see his thought processes clearly, Kalysto doesnt seem aware of the fact and begins to ponder his species and how they handle relationships and breeding, especially in the case of genetics or those who are considered ‘of good noble breeding* The High Elf typically lives about 400 years to 2000, depending on his or her longetivity. We are considered adults at 16, though many, many elves will continue to treat you like a child, well into your 20s, your early 30s. There have been cases of elves breeding with non-elves, but I do not know what happens. So yes, in theory, if you paired and bred with me, I would probably outlive you simply because of my race. Assuming I don’t blow myself up first.
Desiree: *sighs and moves to burry her face in her pillow. She’s a bit sorrowed at how removed Kalysto seems from the actual subject. She then mumbles* So clinical… Yea, guess you wouldn’t want me anyway. I’m a complete and utter fuck-up.
Kalysto: *seems confused with her thought process, not understanding her sorrow at all* You want to claim me as your partner? *shakes his head, thinking to himself that the idea is a very bad one. He considers his ties to the demon realm, and then thinks to himself that he sometimes wonders if his free-will even belongs to him at all* I’m not the kind of person you want to take on as a mate.
Desiree: *deeply sighs* None of that matters.. Not at all. *despite all his reasons for her to not like him, she knows that she cares quite a bit about him. She also wonders if he’s just trying to push her away because he doesn’t want to deal with emotions*
Kalysto: *thinks Desiree is being rather weird about the whole subject. The idea of romance and attachments has never really occured to him because he has always been in a war-situation and had never had much time to think about those things. He also considers that getting into a relationship with Desiree could cause a lot of danger and friction with those around them*
Sephiroth: *scowls at Rhyderi* I need your help. My mate and I wish to tackle a problem in the north, but there is nobody to take care of our children, and–
Rhyderi: *interrupts him, raising a gloved hand* I can’t help you. I need to assist my brother. Forgive me, but I can’t help you babysit at this time.
Sephiroth: *scowls* *”I found the other elf, and he’s not going to do it.”*
Jenna: ~Well, why the hell won’t he help? What’s the fucking problem?~ *snorts and finishes checking up on the children in the lower level. She then asks Dimitri to try to make certain no one leaves the area. With that, she begins heading up the stairs*
Desiree: “The danger doesn’t bother me, Kalysto. The fact that you are a warlock is not a problem either. All of your “buts” are just trivial.. Despite all of that, I still love you.” *she frowns* “Past all the rationalizations.. What do you feel toward me?”
Sephiroth: *”He has to assist his brother, so he says.”* *grunts in annoyance* Why can’t you just go back and help us? When this is over, I can assist you. *scowls* *”He doesn’t seem very desperate. Maybe you can say something to him, he’s not being very useful for me.”*
Rhyderi: Thank you for your offer, but… *sighs and pulls a whistle out of his pocket* I can’t stay here. I need to go. *blows the whistle and steps back. After a few moments, a medium-sized bronze dragon phase-shifts from nowhere and lands on the ground in front of him. He climbs up onto it’s back and pats it’s neck, indicating for it to fly off* Farewell. *holds onto the dragon while it ascends sharply and flies off*
Sephiroth: *”Well now he’s gone.”*
Kalysto: *”Wait, let me get this one straightened out… I’m stuck in your body, you can read my thought processess… and you’re still asking me that?” *sighs* *”To be honest, I don’t really know.”*
Jenna: ~I’ll try the blue thing.. Perhaps it will be expedient just to assist that elf and get his brother the help mentioned… That’s the elf that’s in Desiree at the moment, right? I should think it would benefit both of us to have him out of her.~ *she enters Zulmire’s room and looks around* Hey?
Desiree: “With you being all clinical and proper and stuff… I can’t really get a good feel for your emotions. Anyway, I’m only really feeling the thoughts that you’re currently.. you know.. processing. I’m not fully immersed or anything. If I was, I would probably just merge with you or something.. right?” *she then sighs* “But you don’t know? I guess that’s ok..”
Zulmire: *is not visible from the door, but is on the other side of the bed and on the floor, currently in his ghost-wolf form. He flicks an ear towards Jenna when she speaks, but does not move or make any other indication that he has heard what she is saying*
Kalysto: *”I don’t really know how it works. I’ve been soul-bound to a demon overlord since I was 11 years old. We’ve never merged as such, or at least, I’ve never lost sight of where the seperation begins. Occaisonally he will become the dominant one and take me over, but I’m still seperate if that makes sense.”*
Sephiroth: *”I don’t suppose it matters anyway. He’s gone now.”*
Desiree: “Yea, well I don’t know every single thing that’s going on with you at the moment.. Ok?” *she sighs and mutters* Where the fuch is your brosher?
Jenna: ~You most certainly are a prime example of motivation and all that..~ *she snorts and continues to look around the room* Hey? Guy with the tusks? I don’t know your name.. Are you in here?
Zulmire: *slowly moves to his feet and shakes himself off before morphing himself back into his natural form. He glances at Jenna with his beady red eyes for a few moments before lazily stretching, yawning in the process* Yeh… I t’ink so. What’chu wan’?
Sephiroth: *”What do you want me to do, chase him down and knock him off his pet dragon that came out of nowhere?”*
Kalysto: *”No, you don’t. And you’re probably not going to find out some things either. I’m not exactly an open book, you know.”* *shrugs* *”Rhydork? I don’t know where he is. We told him to get my body back, and then he pissed off. He could be anywhere by now.”*
Desiree: “I really hope that he comes back with your body soon.. No offense.. But it’s much more enjoyable with you out of my head and stuff.” *she snuggles in the bed. Slowly, she’s beginning to drift off to sleep*
Jenna: ~Like I said, you could have tried to assist him in getting.. whatever it is he’s doing for his brother. I’m certain it will solve the issue with Desiree having the elf in her. Hrmph, maybe he knows why she’s in that situation.~ *She then focuses on Zulmire* I require the aid of someone who is willing to watch over my children. My mate and I have a rather large threat that we need to burn.
Zulmire: Yeh? ‘dat be too bad. *looks unhappy for a few moments* What be ‘dis threat anyway? I be sittin’ down tryin’ t’ commune wif da spirits often. But is impossible here. ‘Dere be many spirits nearby, like, 10 feet below meh who never, ever, ever, shut up. *flicks his ears back, frustrated* An’ recently ‘dey been ramblin’ louder ‘dan ever. I be figurin’ some disturbance be goin’ on, but I be unable to work out what it be, ’cause none o’ dem ever shut up enough to listen to a single one.
Kalysto: *”I admit, it would be nice to get back to my body again. Yours is devoid of anything I can use to perform any kind of decent magical task. However, it is nice not to be nagged by mana cravings…
Jenna: *grunts in frustration* You need not worry yourself about this threat at all.. However, if you must know, it is an alien creature, a parasite, that loves to drain the life force of worlds. It takes all the energy and claims it as its own. Seph and my children have her cells in them, so they are currently being tormented by her.
Desiree: Mmm… “I imagine so…” *yawns and continues to drift to sleep*
Sephiroth: *”So what do you want me to do now? Catch the stupid idiot, or come back there and wait for you to find a brat-watcher or what?”* *growls* *”I’ll have you know that I’m not going to hover over the ocean’s edge and do nothing for very much longer.”*
Zulmire: So what do yeh want me to do? Go over ‘dere and cleanse eet outta ‘dem? Doesn’t sound like somet’in I c’n do, ‘mon. Especially if it’s genetic. Is like tryin’ t’ turn me green. Well… *rubs the back of his head* Sum trolls be green, but not meh. *pauses* No, I can’t cleanse da parasite if ‘dat what you be askin’.
Jenna: ~Hrmph… Well, if you want to fix Desiree before we bother with Jenova, then go help the elf with his task. Somehow, I can’t see it as being too involved..~ *She shakes her head then frowns at Zulmire* No, you can’t cleanse them… The cells of this creature are so much of a part of my family.. No, it just isn’t a good idea.
