Desiree: *Shrugs* I don’t know. I try not to think all that much about the afterlife. But, I still think that you’re too good, as in awesome and stuff, for hell. *she moves up behind him then begins to kneed her hands into his hair*
Kalysto: I do believe you’re trying to come onto me. Aren’t you? *smirks in amusement, chuckling at her* Desiree. What are you playing at anyway? *lowers his head* For shame, Desiree. I’m not like that at all. *smirks* Much.
Desiree: *yawns at Kalysto’s words* Come onto you? Heh, I think I did that a long time ago. *she then nuzzles her nose against the top of his head* Your hair smells great. *chuckles*
Kalysto: What? *blinks at her* What do you mean, my hair smells great? It doesn’t even smell like anything, at all. I didn’t wash it in some fancy thing either. It’s just… washed. It probably needs washing again, too. Honestly, focus on sniffing the food cooking, not me.
Desiree: Heh, I can smell the food too, but I find you to be much more fun. *grins then nuzzles her nose against the top of his head once more. With that, she steps away from him* So, what do you want to do while the food is cooking?
Kalysto: What do I want to do? *picks at the fiber of his robe, then glances back at her* I don’t suppose it matters does it? *moves to his feet, rubbing a hand through his spikey hair* You wanted to learn something? I don’t know what I’d teach you but we could figure something.
Desiree: Well, if that’s not what you want to do, then we don’t need to do that. I mean, I don’t need to constantly study magic and stuff like that. *she steps back to let him have room to move about* If you do want to teach me something, that’s fine too.
Kalysto: No offense but you study it on your own. There’s not a lot you can learn from just text alone. You need a mentor and visual aids, too. It’s easier to learn, and you will gain more confidence from somebody showing you things. You are also less likely to screw up that way, too.
Desiree: *Groans* Yes, I understand that. What I meant is that we don’t need to do that right now if there’s something else that you have in mind. *she shrugs. Soon after, she looks up and tilts her head as she watches her mother head out of the house* Wonder where she’s going..
Kalysto: *smirks* She couldn’t stand the heat. So she’s staying out of the kitchen? I don’t know. Maybe that’s what’s happening, huh? *softly chuckles in amusement* Maybe you should just, you know, ask her?
Desiree: Her? Afriad of heat? Have you seen her most typical modus aperatum? *she shakes her head* That woman is by no means afraid of fire or heat. *sighs* She’s probably going to get her own dinner… It’s probably not worth asking her what she’s up to.
Kalysto: Oh, right… yeah. Everybody has their own reason for functioning in the manner they do, though. Same with you, and I, and anybody else. If I ran off to grow plants for alchemical work, you probably wouldn’t question that either. It’s just… what is.
Desiree: Well, if you started growing daisies and roses, I might start getting concerned. *smirks at him* So, you want to do something or not?
Kalysto: If I started growing daisies, it would be to crush them and extract the trace amounts of arsenic that reside with in. Crush them into liquid, soak in water, boil down and reduce. It can make a nice potent concoction for a poison.
Desiree: *blinks at Kalysto’s words* Umm… right.. I knew that. *pokes him* So, do you want to do anything or do you want to just talk about flowers?
Kalysto: I can talk about flowers if you want. But I doubt you would be interested in hearing. *glances at the oven, then sets a timer and heads for the door* Come. I can at least show you something relatively easy and effective.
Desiree: *nods then follows after Kalysto* As long as it’s not so easy that it’s boring. *glances over Kalysto as he walks in front of her* You did a really good job at fixing that robe thing.
Kalysto: You think so? I can still tell it had been through hell, but it’s wearable and it’s going to stop me from getting burned from my own magic. That’s part of the reason I wanted it back so badly… it’s fireproof. *steps outside and shakes himself off, walking down the path to head for the woods* So what do you want to learn from me? The ability to meld with the shadow? To wield fire?
Desiree: *glances over his garment* Umm.. Well, doesn’t look like it’s been that much through hell… And that stuff is fireproof? *moves closer to him and pokes the cloth* Doesn’t feel like it. *she shrugs* As for what to teach me.. *shrugs* Whatever you think is cool.
Kalysto: Yes, it’s fireproof. With the way it was woven, you’d never be able to tell. But you can set it on fire and test it out. It’s not going to burn. Now… *stands in a relatively open clearing once in the woods* Open book. What would you like to focus on?
Desiree: *coyly smirks at him* What would I like to fucus on? Well, if you want an honest answer: you. *chuckles at him. She then shrugs* I don’t know.. You pick. *yelps as a tree next to their area explodes since Jenna is expending some emotional stress by practicing magic not far away*
Kalysto: I’m giving you the option of practising the magic you so desperately want to play with. So go on… pick something. *sighs* I’m letting you play with it, and encouraging you. You dont want t— *loudly hisses as flying parts of exploding tree fly everywhere at high speed, some parts of it striking him with great speed. He is quick to cover his eyes, not wanting to get splintered*
Desiree: *ducks behind a bush as the fragments of tree splatter the area. She then grumbles* At the moment, thoughts of what the learn, what little there were, are currently “oh shit”. *slowly stepping out of her hiding place, she looks at where the tree was* What the fuck was that?
Kalysto: *pulls shards of wood out of his hair* I don’t know… *moves towards the source of the explosion, frowning as he sees Jenna ahead of them* Seems your mother came out here to let off some steam. Or practise.
Jenna: *holds out her right hand and forms a spark in it. Soon after, she begins manipulating the flame to form a large dragon made purely of the flames. She then sends the dragon straight at another tree*
Desiree: *yelps as another tree catches on fire then grumbles* Yea, seems that way. Great for her.. *groans*
