Kalysto: I’m asking you for name suggestions. Nothing in mind? *shrugs and steps into the room to begin setting up the supplies he got for the kitten* I’d call it something like… kitten. *grins at her* I am uncreative when it comes to names. My demons told me their own names.
Desiree: Well, I can say that “kitten” is a horrible name for a cat. Just plain horrible. *she shakes her head and sighs* Hmm… Name… *walks into their bedroom then looks over the cat* Ummm… Let’s see… this gal is definitely lucky and a survivor.
Kalysto: Survivor, huh? *ponders* We have a word for that in Thalassian. Its’ the perfect name for a cat, too. Just need to remember the word.. *glances down, thinking* Oh, I know. Kitten.
Desiree: *Frowns at Kalysto* I somehow doubt that is the word for survivor in your native tongue. *Shakes her head* Hrmph… And kitten still isn’t a good name for a cat.
Kalysto: *picks up the kitten and holds it in Desiree’s face* Her name is kitten and she likes you. She’s black, orange, and white. Kitten. *holds her right up against Desiree’s nose* Kitten!
Desiree: *Groans at Kalysto* That is a horrible name and you know that, elf. Horrible, horrible name, warlock. *chuckles as he moves the cat into her face then reaches up to pet it*
Kalysto: Eh, give it a few days, then. *tries to hand the kitten to her* She’s sleepy, so she’s probably content now. Don’t have to come up with a name right now… something like that can take time. I could always be annoying and call it “shando mandalas dur mush thus anu fulo.” *smirks at her* But you have no idea.
**”Little survivor who came from the wood.”
Desiree: That sounds like too long of a name… whatever that was. *Sighs and shakes her head* But yes, naming the kitten isn’t a rush. If you want to think about it, then go ahead and do that. *with that, she moves to lay on the bed*
Kalysto: Very good. I’m glad we’re at least in agreement there. *sets the kitten down near her then rises off the bed, walking out of the room* *”Your family doesn’t cook very much does it? I’ve been here a month and the amount of pre-prepared foods the silver-haired one buys is a dissapointment.”*
Desire: Hmm…? I suppose it’s not that much… *she shrugs* I don’t really think too much about it. I mean, you really wouldn’t want to eat too much of my father’s cooking. *She shakes her head* He is really not a good cook, at all.
Kalysto: *begins to rifle through the kitchen, then opens up the refridgerator, placing a whole chicken on the counter to begin cleaning, dressing and stuffing for a baked dinner* *”No I don’t think anybody does. He knows nothing of spices or food chemistry. I don’t know why he’s allowed to keep doing it. Somebody should ban him.”*
Desiree: ~Are you actually volunteering to cook for my family? Doesn’t that go against your “I want damnation” motto?~ *chuckles then slides off the bed. She then mvoes over to the kitchen so that she can watch Kalysto cook*
Kalysto: *”Hey, I’m hungry. I found food. Leave me to my own devices.”* *looks up at her* You’re actually coming in? *picks up a shaker filled with thyme* Come over here then. *picks up a potato peeler and some potatoes, handing the lot to her* Peel those, sprinkle them with crap from the shaker.
Desiree: Hey! Who said I was coming here to help you? *chuckling, she takes the potatoes and peeler anyway. She then begins to work on the potatoes, working quickly and efficiently since she’s prepared food several times before. She then seasons the potatoes as Kalysto asked*
Kalysto: *watches Desiree work inbetween doing other tasks. When he sees that she is finished, he pushes the baking pan with the chicken towards her, then moves to the oven to see if it is hot yet* You know, you can nap after this. If it’s on lower heat for a few hours, nobody will care. *picks up a roll of foil, grinning*
Desiree: *sets the potatoes down in the pan, aranging them around the chicken. She then tilts her head at Kalysto’s suggestion* Nap? I suppose I could, but I’m not particularly tired. *shakes her head, rather confused*
Kalysto: You were lying down earlier and I guessed you were actually tired. You’re not? My bad. *shrugs his shoulders* Still, keep in mind that this stuff always takes a few hours to cook, and once it’s in the oven there’s very little you can do for any of it.
Desiree: *shakes her head* Nah, I was just relaxing. That had nothing to do with me being tired. Thank you for the concern though. *she grins at him* Are you certain that you’re a mean and evil warlock?
Kalysto: *looks at her for a few moments, then begins to laugh in a sinister manner. He gives her a wicked grin, then turns his back on her and resumes arranging vegetables in a pot* Of course I am. Don’t even question that. I am evil and mean and going to hell.
Desiree: *rolls her eyes at him. She then moves up behind him before running her hands along his sides* I don’t think Hell deserves you.
Kalysto: And Heaven doesn’t want me. So… it’s either limbo, or hell. *shrugs* Or using many samples of the Elixir of Life to prolong my lifespan theoretically forever. But I’m not even sure if I want to do that, because with age comes greater ability and power. The best mages and magic weilders were always old and venerable. Plus I think it might be fun to grow a really long beard. So I can pull on it like this when I’m thinking. *strokes his goatee, scowling, a grin at the edge of his lips* Hrrrrmm.
Desiree: You know.. technically, you don’t need to be old to grow a long beard. I’m certain I’ve seen pictures of these guys called bikers. Most of them aren’t old, but they have huge beards, and arms… and everything else. *she shrugs*
Kalysto: Hey gimmie a break, I’m not even declared an adult yet. If I tried to grow a proper, proper beard, it would take years anyway. At my age, you don’t need to shave every day. That doesn’t happen until you’re about 25 or so. *shrugs* Hard to explain, but um… want me to explain that better?
Desiree: *shakes her head* No, it’s ok, Kalysto. I think I understand what you meant. I just meant you didn’t need to become a wrinkly old man for a beard either. *She shrugs*
