Desiree: *frowns at Kalysto as he throws the wand at her* I listen to you all the time, Kalysto. You just always give such vague advice. It would be nice if you actually just started letting me know stuff rather than tell me “no”. *shakes her head* Just get the stuff for your kitten already.
Kalysto: It would be nice if you actually listen to the advice rather than just doing your own thing without thinking of things through more than, I can do this, I’ll show everybody else! *growls* It’s damned ridiculous, and that’s the first mark of somebody who is inexperienced!
Desiree: *Grumbles under her breath* Just… go and get the stuff you need. *Glances down at the wand then tries to hand it back to him* I’m not casting any spells at all at the moment.
Kalysto: I’m not telling you to take it for spell casting. I’m telling you to take it so you can talk to the demon inside. Get multiple perspectives on things, you know? *shrugs and begins to browse through the shop for cat supplies*
Desiree: I know what you meant, Kalysto… *deeply sighs and watches him go about. She then glances down at the wand again then pokes it* ~Right.. he wants me to talk to you. So, talk.~
Bael: *”Ingrateful little morons…”*
Kalysto: *hums as he collects the rest of the supplies he needs, dropping them down on the counter so he can pay for them* Hey Des… um. Got any money? What are we supposed to do? *grins nervously at her, then at the shop clerk*
Desiree: ~Yea… That’s what I thought you’d say. Well, nice talking to you.~ *she then looks up as Kalysto calls out to her* Money..? Umm… *she glances at the store clerk* I’m… Sephiroth’s daughter? Don’t we have some sort of tab or something like that… I mean, you give my little brother candy and he doesn’t have money, ever..
*the store clerk makes a fussing sound* If that man didn’t have a job with Shinra, I would have told all of you kids to stop coming here and doing that a long time ago. But fine, just this once… *picks up a clipboard and begins to jot down a list of purchases so he can charge it to Sephiroth’s wages*
Desiree: *Grins and nods as the clerk adds the bill to the tab* Thank you very much. *She then reaches up to gently rub the back of Kalysto’s left ear* That was easy enough, hm? *reaches over to take come of the cat supplies so that she can help Kalysto. As she does this, she watches the clerk to make certain that he won’t make any fuss over Kalysto*
Kalysto: It was easy enough, but… sheesh. Grumpy old bastard. You want to make it easier for people to buy your stuff? Don’t be such a grouch. *walks outside with the stuff now that Desiree has some* How easy is it to sell stuff in this town? *glances at one of the empty business buildings nearby*
*The store clerk begins to grumble as Kalysto departs from the store, writing the tab to send to Shinra*
Desiree: Huh? I don’t know. *frowns at him* You really like asking me the questions that I haven’t even considered. *softly chuckles then shrugs* I guess it can’t be that hard. Not much competition. And with my father hiring SOLDIERS and stuff like that, probably would get easier.
Kalysto: I do, huh? Its easy to look at things from the wrong direction. *shrugs* You like doing things that you haven’t even thought through, too. *shrugs and walks back to the house* Have you ever considered doing things in an area that doesn’t affect anything?
Desiree: Any action taken affects something, Kalysto. *she shakes her head* There’s no such thing as an area that doesn’t affect anything. *frowns at him* And I still know the risks of what I do. That’s why I try so hard to concentrate and not be bothered by people like you. Haven’t you noticed that most of the times that I make mistakes, it’s caused by someone yelling in my ear?
Kalysto: It’s caused by not that too. I’ve seen you screw something up because you couldn’t control it properly. You mess around in things that you aren’t ready for, and it gets out of hand. I don’t know why you just can’t see it.
Desiree: Such as? I can’t constantly do the kiddy stuff all the time. I have done that stuff for years, and I am ready to move on to better stuff.
Kalysto: Well, I don’t know… off the top of my head. But do you see my point? I see yours. Granted, you’re ready to move on but you’re going about it the wrong way. I don’t know why that is and I’ve already tried to talk about it, but you’re determined to say I’m wrong.
Desiree: You’re determined to tell me don’t try anything. How is that a way to progress, at all? *shakes her head before opening the front door for him* I want support and guidance, but I don’t want someone telling me that I can’t do anything at all.
Kalysto: Fine – don’t do things you’re not ready for – how’s that sound? *shrugs* Leave your house and study and investigate to learn more about what you want to do, but don’t pick something up, say, I can do this, with no practise, and let it get otu of hand.
Desiree: *Frowns at him* Why don’t you just tutor me instead of telling me “no” all the time? If you but only give me directions, I’m certain that we’d find a medium that we can agree on, hm?
Kalysto: You’re not from the exact same spool of thread as me. I could teach you something and it would be completely irrelevant, you know? I dont even know where to begin picking and choosing what to teach you.
Desiree: I’ve said this a thousand times over, our magic overlaps more than it diverges. I was able to summon your big old grry demon. I was also able to summon Droozun. Doesn’t that indicate something, hm? I’m definitely no elemental mage or blessed be the light person.
Kalysto: You’re not me either. Your thread of magic doesn’t resonate along the exact same line, but it’s similar. I can try to teach you things but some of it will just be lost. Utterly. Understand that and ponder the situation further. Do you really want to be taught things that become irrelevant or unachievable? You couldn’t… *shakes his head* …make any kind of spell-stone out of thin air, or out of the blood of something else, could you?
Desiree: *Shrugs* Never heard of such a thing. So, I can’t even say yes if I tried. I mean, I suppose I can try it out at some point and see if it can happen or not. *She shrugs* For now, shouldn’t we spoil your new kitten?
Kalysto: Yes, spoil the kitten… *hums* Oh, understand too that I’m not the best teacher in the world. I am stil learning, myself. I just… lack the books I had before. *heads back into the house, seeming dissapointed* Any name suggestions for the kitten?
