Kalysto: *takes the dragon north over the ocean, landing down in Midgar some time later. He finds Hojo at the South end of the city in amongst some rubble and other garbage, then knocks him over, proceeding to attack and knock him out so he can steal all of his supplies* *”I found him. It’s all good now.”*
Desiree: *chuckles as Kalysto contacts her* ~I didn’t need a status report, you silly elf. However, I’m certain that you’ll be glad to know that I’ve found nearly all the herbs that you asked for. I’ve even gathered some seeds… I think. I’ll be coming home soon.~
Kalysto: *”Seeds… good. Keep doing that. I kind of wish I could teleport the entire patch of soil so I’d have a batch ready to pick from, but at the same time you don’t put all your eggs in one basket – if somebody came in my yard and poisoned my plants, my stock would be gone.”* *steals as many vials and glass jars he can carry, stuffing them in a sack* *”This guy had a motherlode. It needs cleaning and disinfectant though…”*
Desiree: *Giggles* ~I told you that he would have vials and tubes gallore. His entire life is science, so everything he owns has to do with it.~ *finishes gathering up herbs and seeds* ~I’m heading home now.~
Kalysto: *”Me also. I have my tubes and vials. I don’t really need anything else. Except maybe a giant bucket and some disinfectant. The bottles are good but they need cleaning. Badly.”* *mounts his dragon and heads back for Mideel*
Desiree: *teleports back to the house. Once back home, she moves into the house then begins to set the pile of herbs that she had collected on the kitchen counter* I’m pretty certain this was all of it.. *stretches when she is done setting down herbs*
Kalysto: *lands back down in Mideel some time afterwards. He carries his sack to the house and walks inside with it, immediately heading for the sink, filling it up with hot water* Oh good. You got more. Very good. *carefully places glass containers into the sink, washing them thoroughly* I dont know how I’m going to do this… if I sell the jar with the potion inside, I am going to run out of jars.
Desiree: *glances over at the items that Kalysto had retrived then frowns* Well… There should be a way for you to set up some sort of supply, right? I mean, as much as I love the thought of you beating up my grandfather each time you need more, he’ll probably get smart eventually.
Kalysto: There’s got to be a supplier somewhere. I’m not about to blow my own glass vials. Some of the potions need to be stored in leaded vials too… some are light sensitive. Some are vibration sensitive.
Sephiroth: *his walk takes him to ShinRa HQ in Mideel. He slips inside, then heads for his actual desk there, sighing as he slides into the seat, resting a hand on his chin*
Desiree: Well, do what you can for now. If you get loyal customers, you can always do a refill program or something like that… *she shrugs* I’m certain that you’ll work out something. You’re smart. *She then leans in to kiss the side of his right ear*
Reno: *was bumming around at his desk, mostly napping. However, when Sephiroth enters the office, he jumps and hurridely gathers some papers to make it look like he was working*
Sephiroth: Oh relax, Reno. I know what you were doing and I don’t particularly give a damn. *attempts to whack him, but doesn’t quite reach* Did you read the latest census papers? My daughter took her boyfriend’s last name. And they didnt even mention that they got married. *scowls* There was something else on the census. An acryonym. I don’t remember it. *rifles through his papers*
Kalysto: *purrs lightly* Maybe I can do a return-back payment… return the bottle and I give you 50 gil or something. *shrugs* I don’t know.
Desiree: *nods and grins at Kalysto* That definitely sounds like a good idea. You might not get all of them back, but you are likely to get some success with that sort of planning. *runs her hands up and down his spine for a moment* So, is there anything else I can help you with for today?
Reno: *glances at Sephiroth as he motions to whack him. He then chuckles and shakes his head* You know, it’s really strange to watch you be chummy, Sephi- *he then blinks at the sudden topic of Census papers and daughters. He then shrugs* No, I didn’t read any of that stuff…
Sephiroth: Well you should. *sighs* Desiree.. she is on a pharmaceutical prescription called *pauses, reading of the census papers* “C, O, C, P.” *grunts* Do you have any idea what the hell that’s about?
Kalysto: Mm… not unless you can get me a table and a bunsen burner… and a retort stand… and an alchemical lab. Or a port back to Azeroth so I can steal one from the Royal Apothecary Society.
Reno: *seems a bit uncertain on whether or not he should be having this conversation at first. He then gives Sephiroth a strange look before chuckling* Yea, I know what that means. I screen my chicks for “the pill” all of the time. It’s birth control, yo.
Desiree: *sighs* I can try to get you an opening back to your homeworld… But I don’t know if I’d be that successful. *frowns* Your demons.. they somehow can go between dimensions. Maybe they can help you get back with more ease?
Sephiroth: Birth… control…? *stares at him blankly*
Kalysto: Ugh, the demons… The only one who’s smart enough to know is… *glances down at his wand, looking particularly unhappy* Find another way. There honestly has to be something you can do.
Reno: Yea, birth control pills… You do know what they are, right, Sephiroth? *frowns and shakes his head* A chick takes them twice a day, and they change the hormones in the chick so that no little chickies form in her belly.
Desiree: I’ve tried before, remember? That didn’t go over all that well.
Sephiroth: *stares at Reno’s explanation, barely getting it* So the woman takes the pills and it prevents pregnancy? You have such a random way of saying things that I am not sure I understand completely. *slowly shakes his head, snorting* Why didn’t you just say that it prevents pregnancy?
Kalysto: I know. But don’t make me get Bael out… he’s a bastard.
Reno: Because, you had this deer stuck in front of headlights look to you. *shrugs* Yes, it is a pill that females take to prevent pregnancy. Usually pretty effective too.
Desiree: *shakes her head* I didn’t say you had to take him out.. I just don’t know how to get you back to your old home. But your demons definitely know the way home…
Sephiroth: I would have understood the blunt explanation much better than your initial rambling… *sighs and shakes his head* I don’t understand why Desiree would behave like that. It just doesn’t make any sense.
Kalysto: Yeah, but good luck finding a smart one to ask. One that doesn’t want to kill me, I mean.
Reno: You don’t know why a dame would take birth control? *frowns at Sephiroth* Yo… She’s probably sexually active and just doesn’t want to get pregnant. It’s usually why they go on the pill, so they can have sex without babies.
Desiree: *sighs* ~Droozun, do you know how to get Kalysto home?~
Sephiroth: *snorts* That kind of behaviour dissapoints me.. She never said anything. *glares, banging the desk with his fist*
Drozun: *”Ih-ih-ih! No-no.”* *begins to mentally project the image of the pathway he travels when summoned both to this world, and to Azeroth, having memorized both paths very, very well*
Desiree: Hmm… *glances over at Kalysto* Droozun is showing me something, but I’m not fully certain it’ll be safe for you to use it. *She passes on the message that Droozun gave her to Kalysto* Do you want to try it?
Reno: *steps back and holds up his hands* Yo, settle down, Sephiroth. Most girls her age become curious and start that stuff. It’s fully natural.
Sephiroth: Its downright inconsiderate to not even mention to your own father that you got married. *deeply scowls* Is that “fully natural”? I don’t care about the sex, so much as I do being left in the dark. Does that make sense?
Kalysto: *blinks* Maybe…. not right now though. I want to work with what I have first.
Rena: *blinks and tilts his head in thought* I haven’t ever seen any marriage certificates for anyone in your family… *shrugs* I say go talk to her, yo. At least, that’s what I’d do if I had a daughter. Then I’d slap her around a bit with my nightstick. *grins*
Desiree: *nods* That’s good. I didn’t feel like traveling for the rest of the day. *stretches* Still, is there anything I can do to help you get started?
Sephiroth: If I slapped her around with anything she would hate me even more than she already does. No Reno – I’m not going to do that. I would like to think that she is a mature and responsible adult. Key words, like to think…. *sighs*
Kalysto: Nope. I just need to clean and sanitize these bottles. I can create some simple potions right here without heat.
