Jenna: *nods* Go ahead, General. *smirks at him* I’ll hold up the fort of endless papers. *mock-salutes him. Then, she moves closer to him and nudges him toward the door* Seriously though, get some fresh air. You look like you need it.
Desiree: ~Your herbs? I don’t know. I didn’t touch them… Is there another felhunter in the house? I’ve only located two of those puppies.~
Kalysto: *”Huh. There could be… I don’t often see them eat herbs though. They don’t carry much content in terms of the energy that Felhunters like to gobble up. Then again, they’re growing so they might spell-eat anything they can find… I’m so glad they haven’t gone to eat me yet. Mages are the Felhunter physical food of choice.”*
Sephiroth: *moves out of the door, sighing* Indeed. Thank you for managing my things.
Desiree: *blinks at Kalysto’s statement then deeply frowns* ~Umm… Doesn’t that mean that they’re most likely very interested in my mother? I mean, she’s one hell of a mage.~ *glances toward her parents’ house and frowns. She then moves into the house and begins looking around the kitchen for Kalysto’s herbs*
Jenna: Managing? *tilts her head* Ummm…. I just said I’d watch over them. *glances at the desk then picks up a paper* Greek to me… Though I guess that doesn’t work for me since I know Greek.
Kalysto: *”I’d… keep a firm eye on that one personally. There’s not enough to swarm her, but they would drain the hell out of her to get a fix of the food they crave. That’s why I keep my Felhunter away in the Nether when I don’t need it. When it goes hungry, it may turn on either of us…”* *sighs* *”My herbs are gone, period. Vanished from existance.”*
Sephiroth: *wanders outside and goes for a walk, heading past Desiree and Kalysto’s property, but doesn’t stop*
Desiree: Kalysto, herbs don’t just vanish. They have to be somewhere around here. *she opens up the cupboards and begins looking through them* One of us probably moved them without really noticing. We’ll find them.
*in the last cupboard, hiding under the sink, is a sleeping Felhunter with only one stalk, seeming very content with itself*
Kalysto: *sighs and sits at the table* It doesn’t matter a great deal. I can go back to Halcyon and pick more, but it’s just a hassle to go outside, hop on a dragon, fly to the island, go to the growing site, pick out mature leaves, hop back on a dragon, fly back here, and set it out on the table again like it was before.
Desiree: *yelps as she spots the sleeping felhunter after opening up one of the cupboards. She then frowns at it* Hey, you’re not supposed to sleep there. *pokes the demon hound* Out.
Kalysto: What? *puts his head up, looking into the cupboards* Oh for the love of… *moves to his feet and attempts to grab one of the Felhunter’s hairs, lightly tugging on it* Come on, get out. Are you the one who ate my herbs?
*the Felhunter wakes up and begins to squeak, burrying herself even further back*
Desiree: *grumbles as the felhunter moves further into the cupboard. Groaning, she moves to the fridge and pulls out a large flank of boar* Come on, girl.. Out. *she then waves the flank just outside of the cupboard* If you come out, I’ll give you this.
*the Felhunter practically leaps out of the cupboard, tail thrashing the floor as it smells the flank of boar* Ir-irrr-rrrr-rrrah-rah-rah!! *quickly tries to move after the hunk of food, seeming like it hasn’t been fed in years*
Kalysto: I hope that wasn’t for us…. *deeply frowns in discontentment*
Desiree: *rolls her eyes at Kalysto* I usually keep around a few bits of meat for these guys. They like snacks. *chuckles as the felhunter rushes out then holds the flank up* Good girl, but before you get this, we need to know something. Have you seen this: *sends the demon a mental image of Kalysto’s herbs*?
*the Felhunter stops, then begins to wiggle, coughing up several leaves, showing them off on her tongue before spitting them in a big slobbery pile at Desiree’s feet. She telepathically replies with the whole image she saw before, and then pictures from her perspective of seeing them practically glowing with energy as she devoured them* *”Want back?”* *coughs again, attempting to regurgitate*
Kalysto: Oh, so thats’ why there’s shit everywhere! Desiree, they’re not carnivores. They’re Grade A demon-stalker energy stealing machines. If you feed them physical food, all they do is bleed the energy out of it and shit out the rest.
Desiree: It’s just a treat, Kalysto. I know that it’s not their meal. *frowns at the felhunter* And.. I found out what happened to your herbs… *shakes her head* ~Umm… Yea… I guess..~ *she sets down the flank of boar then moves toward Kalysto* That one ate your herbs.
Kalysto: What! *kicks the hunk of boar away from the Felhunter, glaring down at it* No treat for you! Get outside, now! *glares angrily, folding his arms* OUT! *points at the door*
*the Felhunter whimpers as her food is kicked away, then hangs her head, her jaw practically scraping on the linoleum as she despondantly walks outside*
Desiree: *sighs at Kalysto* It did come out of the cupboard and answered my question. That was why I was offering the treat… *glances back the way that the felhunter went then frowns. Closing her eyes, she hangs back for a few moments*
Lezprah: *stalks into the kitchen after a moment. He then rumbles at Desiree before picking up the flank of boar. After glancing at Kalysto, he leaps out of the kitchen and chases after the injured felhunter. He then sets the flank down in front of her* Rrrr….
*the Felhubnter stops, squeaking. She sniffs the flank very timidly, then snatches it up in her teeth and bolts outside as fast as she can*
Kalysto: Hey! Come back here with that! *sighs* You guys spoiled that thing. *sits back down* At least we know where that one is. So, one left to locate? Hm?
Desiree: Yea, one left to locate.. *shakes her head* I don’t see any reason to rush and find it though. If we find it, great. If not, it’ll just be another monster for the area. *she shrugs* So… I take it that you’re going to head out to get your herbs?
Lezprah: *rumbles* ~Unthankful.~ *snorts and stalks to a sunny spot before plopping down in it*
*the Felhunter squeaks back at Lezprah from outside* *”Eat? Want back?”* *begins to rip apart the meat with her teeth, eating loudly*
Kalysto: Phh, no. Can’t be fucked going all the way there, and back. Not now anyway. Maybe another day…
Lezprah: ~No. No want back.~ *flicks his tail then curls up, more than content to bask in the sunlight*
Desiree: *deeply frowns* What exactly would I be looking for, Kalysto? I’ll go back there and get the herbs that you need to finish off your garden.
*the Felhunter rips another huge chunk off the boar flank before carrying it to the feline, dumping it down in front of him, tail thumping hard on the ground* *”Eat. Um-num num num num num.”*
Kalysto: Kingsblood leaves, twenty five of them. Blackroot, six medium sized ones – the flower is white, and you follow the root under the soil. I need the pollen from closed Dandelions, rip their heads off and I’ll do the rest. Ivy leaves… as many as you can steal. Lemongrass is good too. I’m not going to grow it here because it will overrun the yard. *sighs* And Comfrey, but its perennial. I had some dried before, but good luck finding it fresh. And by the way, absolutely all of that is useless without the glass bottles and tubes from the Alchemical lab.
Desiree: I’m certain you can buy bottles and tubes here, Kalysto. Hell, I can probably track down my grandfather and steal the mother-load. *shakes her head then smirks* Actually, go do that. *she sends Kalysto a distinct impression of where she senses Hojo* He’ll have tons of tubes. *with that said, she teleports away to where Kalysto’s garden used to be*
Lezprah: *cracks open an eye to look at the meat. He then rumbles and shakes his head* ~No hungry. Have it.~
Kalysto: All I need are glass bottles to cork and put concoctions in. I can hand-write my own labels, so that is not a problem. *moves to his feet, nodding* I will go to him and do that. *walks outside, whistlling for his Nether Drake*
*The Felhunter growls in insult and practically waddles up to Lezprah’s mouth, attempting to stuff the food into it*
Lezprah: *quickly moves his head back as the felhunter stuffs the food in his mouth. He then pins his ears back and shakes his head* ~Fine..~ *takes the bit of meat and quickly tears into it. After a few gulps, he gets rid of it completely* ~Sun good. Sleep if want.~ *he then curls up again and yawns as he returns to his sunbathing*
Desiree: ~Remember to beat him up a bit as you steal everything he owns.~ *chuckles. She then begins looking at the plants in the area. After a few moments, she gets to work at picking out the various herbs that Kalysto said he’d need*
Kalysto: *”And you say he’s hanging around? And he just happens to have glass bottles and small vials I can just steal for my own purposes? Sure. I can do that… if I can find him. Where does he hang out?”* *takes off into the air on his Drake, flying away from Mideel*
*the Felhunter sits on her hinds, content now. She flops out in the sun on her side, thumping her tail on the grass*
