Kalysto: *”Blah blah blah blah. You don’t want to listen to what I said? Fine. It’s not my problem if I tell you something and you don’t believe me. What harm is there in talking to him? There’s not many dragons where you came from, right? At the least you could ask him where more of your family is.”* *sighs at the Elder* Well… you need to get away from him. I want to offer you protection against him, and freedom to build elsewhere.
Jenna: ~What makes you think I want to know anything about my family, even if he were family?~ *narrows her eyes* ~I was abandoned as soon as I was born. Doesn’t that mean that I wasn’t wanted? Why should I want them?~
Aedwyn: And he has offered protection against the advancing humans in exchange for having his way with my daughter. What makes you protection any better than his? *he turns to face Kalysto*
Kalysto: Well because, I’m not going to have my way with your daughter. He sent me to kill you. He’ll send somebody else before too long if I failed. And if you don’t get the fuck out of here, he’ll come back with stronger shit until he overpowers you. And then he’d probably kill you all. *narrows his eyes* Do you want freedom, or death?
Aedwyn: *sighs and shakes his head* It is a pity that his hunger for women makes him go to such extremes. Very well, what sort of freedom can you offer? I am not certain if there is a true freedom from him. He is the leader of one of the most powerful dragon clans still existing. Few would challenge him. Those that have.. Well, I have heard that he earned his scars and position, even at the expense of his own sire.
Kalysto: *sighs* I don’t know to be honest with you. There is Halcyon which is on another planet now, but he just may be able to slip through and cause problems there. There is also the city I came from… if you would want to go there.
Aedwyn: Halcyon? I have not heard anyone mention that island for decades, perhaps longer… *lowers his head* Your offer has many more implications than what you think. This land, it is all we have left of our heritage. You are asking us to leave behind the last remnants of what made our people great.
Kalysto: And if you stay here? What have you got to look forward to? Staying here trying to hide and eventually being destroyed? Or do you want to abandon everything you have here and preserve your people? *folds his arms* It’s your choice. I can be your savior. I can also be your damnation. Whichever you decide.
Aedwyn: *sighs* To give up our land only because a dragon wants to have sex with my daughter? I am not certain my people will understand the trade-off. *sighs and moves to his walking cane* Very well, I shall discuss this with the townsfolk. I cannot promise anything as it is.
Kalysto: *flicks his ears back* Don’t tell them and make it up for discussion. If they know, the dragon will soon find out I told you. The more people that know, the more people that can be scryed for answers. And then we’ll all be even more fucked than we already are. Do you even understand the magnitude of this?
Aedwyn: Yes, I know the magnitude quite well… *frowns and shakes his head* Very well, we will go with you. That dragon is likely to be keeping tabs on you, knowing him and his kin. *moves closer to him* When will you be ready to provide this exodus?
Kalysto: *nods his head slowly, then sighs* I’ll talk to Jenna. I can’t give you an estimate, but I will try to take care of things properly. *moves out of the room and glances at Jenna* Where can we move these elves to? Halcyon? Or Silvermoon? *frowns*
Jenna: *cracks open her eyes* There’s a lot of moons that are “silver” in color… I don’t know what you’re talking about. *groans and sits upright, shaking her head* So, you are going to go through with moving these people?
Kalysto: *nods his head slowly* I can learn more from them than I could the dragon, I think. As for Silvermoon, it’s my hometown. It’s in the Quel’thalas territory, of the Eastern Kingdoms, located on the planet of Azeroth. I would suggest dumping them there and then they can receive refuge from General Rommath, the acting leader of my people.
Jenna: *gives him a rather deadpan look then releases a loud sigh* Boy, if I knew where your world was or where you came from, don’t you think I would have tried to send you back already? *shakes her head* That isn’t even an option because I don’t have a fucking clue how to get to your planet. I mean, I suppose I can find your planet, but it’d need a lot of trial and error, and chances are, it wouldn’t be your dimension.
Kalysto: *frowns at her* Maybe you can find the summoning circle used to get me here – the original one… and trace it back to Azeroth? It wasn’t a complete circle. Most of it was burned here, but the top corner is missing and still back where I came from. I was in a remote area and in trouble which is why I teleported myself in the first place.
Jenna: You mean the one burried by thousands of tons of rubble? *shakes her head* Not very likely. Even if I were able to get under there, the chances of it being intact are next to nil. *sighs* Like I said, Halcyon sounds like the most likely choice of location for these people. That or the town where we now reside. *shrugs*
Kalysto: You want to put them in Mideel…? *glances around the room, then frowns, but slowly nods* Alright. That could work out… I just don’t think it’s a secure enough place to be hidden from the red dragon. Make sure you teleport their books through too, if I can learn their language, I can tap into their vast amount of knowledge.
Jenna: I cannot see how being on a completely different planet on a completely different dimension is not safe to start with. *shrugs* I am only bringing up Mideel because the town is not in good shape. And it’ll be easier for them to reestablish with something to work with, rather than nothing.. *smirks* There’s also a lack of giant tyrannosaurs who would think that elves are tasty snacks.
Kalysto: *nods* That works. Very well, I don’t know how you’re going to explain it, but take them to Mideel. I’ll go tell the old fart now. *wanders back towards Aedwyn’s quarters* Hey.. Jenna said she’d move you all to the planet we live on.
Aedwyn: *looks up at Kalysto and sighs* I see… We shall be moving to another planet? Such is, unexpected. *shakes his head* Very well, we will go. Though I do not know if my people will fare well. We shall see.
Kalysto: You can always, er, come back? *frowns* Go tell them we’re leaving right away. I’ll have my… lovely open a portal. *moves back out to Jenna* I’m telling them to move. Did you want to make that portal now?
Jenna: *sighs* I’ll set it up when they’re ready. *shakes her head* Just do note that these things do drain me and I really shouldn’t make a large number of them in a shot period of time. *taps her claws against the table in front of her* Let me know when they are ready to depart.
Kalysto: *nods* The Elder’s going to tell his, er… dudes. Then I imagine they will tell us that they’re ready to go. But eesh… we gotta move quickly because if we don’t? We could get caught. Or spotted. Or something…
Jenna: Indeed. *frowns at him* ~It probably would have been simpler to kill the old man, let the dragon have his power play with the girl, and leave everything be.. Oh well, you made your decision. Whether I agree or not is moot.~
