Quetzitohl: Ah, so you were actually bargaining? That was what you call that bumbling around. *grins* Forgive me. I mistake it for idiocy. *flicks his tail then looks at Kalysto* If you want my opinion, have them go back to the male’s kind. At the very least, they can kill one of the annoying old ones that whine about the “old days”.
Jenna: *groans* I really didn’t need to know your reasons for wanting books… *shakes her head*
Kalysto: *motions ahead of himself, scowling at Jenna* You want to talk to them instead? Go ahead, they’re right there. *frowns and folds his arms* Come on, you came for your own reason. Get it finished at the least.
Bachemius: *snaps at Quetzitohl and rumbles* Don’t waste time and get on with it then.
Jenna: *narrows her eyes at Kalysto. However, she doesn’t say anything and crosses her arms, waiting for the dragons to make a decision*
Quetzitohl: Ah, but they were asking you for the employment, not I. *grins as he brings up his left paw to cleanse his claws* I am merely humoring myself. By all means, finish your negotiations.
Bachemius: If you are wasting time, then kindly remove yourself from my prescence before I poison you with my very bite. *rumbles* Very well. *grunts* You wish for your frivolous books and trinkets. *folds his front paws as he lays down* Of what use can you be to me. I see nothing.
Jenna: Hrmph, you must be blind to my reputation then. I have been used by this very council on several occaccions to get close and exterminate direct threats to their perceived destiny. Certainly there are things that I, as someone who can easily blend in with humans, can do that you cannot. *looks over him* Or at least give me just a location of a stash and I’ll go recover it myself.
Quetzitohl: *spreads out his right wing before he begins to preen himself*
Bachemius: *casually* I can deal with the humans if I need to. I’ve lived for several hundred years, and I’ll live for several hundred more. I know how to do what needs to be done, if need be. *snorts* As for your uses? You are a small pregnant human. *glares* You seem feeble to me. *taps his claws on the ground, thinking* Hrm… I have an old scrying orb you may have if you can do one thing for me…
Jenna: *glares* A scrying orb? You think I would do anything for an insignificant scrying orb? And my pregnancy is not an obstacle yet. I am barely out of the first third. *snorts then sets fire to the stones in front of Bachemius* I can assure you that I am not some useless low-level mage.
Bachemius: Well if you don’t want it… *yawns, then lightly puffs out the fire with his smokey breath, not seeming terribly impressed* Perhaps my old Horadric cube.. *narrows his eyes* Assuming you even know what a Horadric cube is. If you don’t…. its significance would be lost on your feeble little mind. *thinks for a few moments* I also have a horn amulet in my posession that I myself have not found the activation for. So how about it?
Jenna: How about all of it then? If you have no use for these items, I’ll just take them all. *narrows her eyes as he snuffs out the fire. However, she doesn’t feel like doing any form of real attack* Very well. What do you want to have done.
Quetzitohl: *lowers his head to blow into Kalysto’s hair* ~So, you want books on demons, hm? You do feel quite a bit like one yourself.~
Kalysto: *lowers his head and forms a devious smirk on his face at Quetzitohl’s comment, softly chuckling* *”Oh I do, do I? How interesting to hear. Do you… want to take advantage of that fact?”*
Bachemius: *turns his head away, thinking* There is a city in Russia in the south, Novokuznetsk. *flicks his tail in irritation* In the rural area, there resides a mine. The humans say they use it to mine coal, but something else resides there… they dig closer and closer to it. *snorts* I’ve tried to deter them. I’ve tried to sink their mine. To no avail… to no avail… *glares back at Jenna* Sink their mine. Close it down forever. *wiggles his head* Do that and you may have my stupid little trinkets, and access to the underground library belonging to my entire species.
Jenna: *grins as she listens to the offered job as well as the compensation. She then nods* That sounds very agreeable to me. *nods* So, Novokuznetsk, huh? It’ll be done.
Quetzitohl: ~Your kinship to demons is of little concern to me. However, I do know where to find research materials on such creatures. However, I would like something to be done first.~ *sits up straight* ~That is, if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty.~
Bachemius: *rumbles* See to it that it happens. *rises to his feet* You are not the first I have sent there. And all the others have failed. If you fail, you shall get nothing, I shall see to that. *growls* Don’t waste your time if you are not confident in doing it.
Kalysto: *raises his eyebrows, then relaxes them again* *”I’m listening.”*
Jenna: Of course, I wouldn’t have it any other way. *she turns around* Is there anything else I need to know about this operation?
Quetzitohl: *a toothy grin forms on his maw as Kalysto shows interest in his proposal. He then nods toward the door* ~Then come and walk with me. I shall explain what needs to be done.~
Kalysto: *motions a goodbye to Jenna, then follows Quetzitohl, still quite curious about where he’s being led* Very well, explain away. *raises his ears high above his head, grinning* I’d like to see what you come up with.
Bachemius: Sink the mine for good. Drive out the humans and make their mine useless for all time. *snarls* Protect the hidden treasure below And above all things, don’t destroy the buried artifact. Or remove it from it’s place.
Quetzitohl: *strolls out of the room and to a magical representation of Earth. He then points to a spot in the alps, lying inbetween Italy and France, he then rumbles* Here. There is this small town hidden right here. It is overall rather insignficant, but its leaders have become old and well, overconfident. *ruffles his feathers* However, their daughters are rather delightful, but they have been uncooperative. *leans in toward Kalysto* I just need them to have a reminder that they are not so untoucable. *he then creates a magical image of a rather old elf* Make him suffer.
Kalysto: *stares at the image* What kind of elves are these? They don’t look like they belong to any race I’ve seen before… *smirks slightly* So that means there’s no repercussions from doing something like this? *glances off to the side* What kind of books are we talking about here?
Quetzitohl: Ones that smell of the filth from the underworld that you undoubtedly crawled out from. *dismissively waves his hand* I have no need for looking at those books, but I have easy access to them. Rid me of this- *presses his nose against the image of the elderly elf* -pest, and you may have them all.
Kalysto: *scowls* Oh that’s a low blow. *folds his arms* Maybe I don’t want to help you now. *turns his head away haughtily* I’m better than that. *glances back at the image of the elder elf* What’s his name and where can I find him? *”Desiree, can you send my Felhunter back to the Nether? I can’t summon him if he’s tangible and unbound. I’m going to need him shortly.”*
Desiree: *Since she is on another planet and dimension, she doesn’t hear Kalysto at all. Hence, she does nothing to help him*
Quetzitohl: *tilts his head* Hrm… this one’s name… Scum who gets in my way? *frowns* No, that isn’t it.. *looks up to think for a moment* Oh yes, Naheler. His daughters are quite exquisite though. *nods in an appreciative manner*
Kalysto: Naheler, huh? Will remember that one. *nods, then reaches behind his robe to pull his hood over himself, grinning* So that’s all I need to know, huh? Go in, find the dude, scratch him out? Seems pretty simple for a quest if you ask me. You don’t even want me to bring anything back to prove I killed him?
Quetzitohl: Oh, I will know if you kill him or not. I will know. *grins at Kalysto* Very well then, we have an arrangement. Very good. I hate getting my paws dirty for filth like him. Mmm.. I prefer keeping my paws occupied with other things. Now, be gone.
Kalysto: *shrugs his shoulders* Very well. I shall return and he shall be dead. And then you will give me what we have agreed on. *moves back out of the way, waiting for Jenna*
Jenna: *Steps out of the central chambers after another few moments. She then turns her attention to Kalysto and sighs* This was supposed to be a solo adventure… *shakes her head and moves up to him* What should I do with you?
Kalysto: *shrugs at her, and then offers one arm* Do you wish to be accompanied on your request? Maybe you can accompany me on my quest in return. It may take some work, and I don’t know what lies ahead. However, I could use a helping hand from somebody who has been gifted by the threads of magic.
