Kalysto: I still don’t get why she would just… *motions forwards with his hands, confused* Oh man…. *growls and shakes his head, moving to his feet. He dusts himself off, then heads back for the house* I’m really beginning to not like that woman… at all.
Jenna: *moves up to Seph’s desk. She glances down at him for a moment before dumping the manakin that she had used, which now has no spells over it and is quite burnt and sporting a stab wound through the chest, onto his desk. After the clattering ends, she speaks up* He passed my test. He loves her.
Desiree: I don’t know. Like I said, if you want to understand it, go ask her. *she frowns as she watches him head back to the house. She then nods at Droozun* Do whatever you want, boy. *she then quickly moves to walk beside Kalysto, offering her support if he needs it*
Sephiroth: *jumps slightly at the clattering noise. He looks up at Jenna and makes a weak groan* Huh…? *frowns at the dummy* How do you know…?
Droozun: *at Desiree’s instruction, he runs off into the wood, sniffing around for energy sources to devour*
Zach: *telepathically calls out to Xelong as he carries a large dead hare into the house, which he has already partially gutted and de-headed* Hey Xel? I did better than a rabbit for you.
Jenna: I know because I just tested it. He loves her. *smirks then transmits to him her memories of what she just did* He would have given his life for her. Someone who’s just after sex wouldn’t have gone to the lengths that he just did.
Desiree: *glances back at Droozun as he runs off. She then sighs and shakes her head* ~Some loyal companion you are!~ *she then looks at Kalysto again and wraps her right arm about his shoulders* Want me to go with you to confront her?
Xelong: *had been entertaining Milena with licks and snuggles. However, he lifts his head when Zach calls out to him then grins* ~Better be nice and soft and good!~
Sephiroth: *sighs at her and grunts* And I’m still supposed to be content with this? Desiree is gone, forever. The pleasant girl I once knew is no longer there… and I screwed up. *frowns* I have to… live with that for the rest of existance.
Kalysto: Confront her?? No! *shakes his head* I’m not confronting her! I just think it was highly fucked up, and a stupid thing to do. What test? *snorts* No. Just… no. I’m not going anywhere. And I am beginning to understand why you dislike her so much.
Zach: *”Well… it’s a hare. Which means it’s bigger. And runs faster.”* *carries the hare into the kitchen and drops it onto the floor* Come on and check it out.
Jenna: Well, I cannot comment about what you perceive as a lost cause with her. *she shakes her head* However, I don’t think you failed or screwed up.
Desiree: *Sighs at Kalysto* That sort of stuff is part of it… What she did to my father when she abandoned us for years.. That was horrid. *she shakes her head then sighs* Come on. I want to know at least what the fuck she was thinking. *She then begins trying to lead Kalysto to Jenna’s location*
Xelong: *trots over to where the hare is and sniffs it. He then begins to dig in* ~Flesh not as tender as rabbit. Rabbit better.~
Sephiroth: Then you don’t see it, do you…? *puts his head back on the desk* At least she isn’t going after me any more…
Kalysto: *heavily resists as Desiree pulls him along, not wanting to go. He makes a slight upset sound, shaking his head* No… don’t do it Desiree. I don’t want to confront her right now. It’s just… *attempts to sit down on the ground* I told you already!
Zach: *sighs* Want me to hunt a proper rabbit then?
Milena: *smells the food nearby and squeaks, attempting to approach Xelong so she can steal it*
Desiree: *Frowns at Kalysto’s actions. She then grunts in annoyance before literally picking him up and carrying him toward the house* Yes, yes, I heard what you said. You don’t need to say a word to her. I still want to know what the fuck she was doing!
Jenna: As I said, I didn’t know her back then. There’s nothing I can do about that element. *sighs then moves over to Seph’s side. Soon enough, she begins to massage the back of his head*
Xelong: *releases a warning growl as Milena tries to steal away his meat. He then chomps down with as much force as he can manage as he tears off another hunk of hare* ~No, I will eat this.~
Kalysto: *twitches at her forced movement of him and teleports to one of his teleport-rune circles inside of the house, leaving her with a handful of corpse-dust*
Milena: *freezes solid, blinking as Xelong growls at her. She then attempts to approach again, very cautiously reaching out for the hare, wanting to run off with it*
Zach: *”Alright.”* *folds his arms at Milena’s very obvious behaviour* I so wouldn’t do that if I were you right now.
Desiree: *Groans at Kalysto* ~You’re being ridiculous! Are you really going to leave me to confront her alone?~ *crosses her arms and snorts. She then moves into the house* I really need to destroy those things of his..
Xelong: *releases another warning growl at Milena as she goes for his food* ~My food. Wait your turn or get your own.~
Milena: *pins her ears back and points at the food, becoming upset* *”Want…”* *makes a sudden move to grab at it, and if successful would start crawling away as fast as she can*
Kalysto: *”Don’t go near her, you saw what she did! Or… did you? I don’t even know!”* *growls* *”You want to confront her?”*
Desiree: ~Oh, I don’t know. I think I’ve said it ten times now, but if you really want to hear it again: Yes, I’m going to go there and find out what the fuck she was thinking. I would like for you to be there with me.~ *snorts and moves into the house*
Xelong: *Releases another growl and bites down hard on the food as well as puts his entire weight on the hare* ~No.~
Kalysto: Alright, alright, alright! *sighs and moves out of the room to follow her* *”Just make sure she doesn’t nab you up and steal you or something.”* *growls* *”I would hate to see that happen. Again.”* *walks out to where Desiree is, slightly glaring at her* You win. Lead the way.
Zach: *sighs and picks the hybrid up, placing her up in her high chair so Xelong can eat in peace*
Milena: *makes a loud upset sound and begins to loudly screech*
Desiree: *grins slightly as Kalysto agrees to come with her. However, she does shake her head* ~I wasn’t nabbed the first time. I was going to find Droozun back then.. Oh, Droozun has.. umm.. puppies? Is that what you’d call them?~ *she shrugs and moves up the stairs. She then frowns at the scent of the burnt dummy* Irk.. *moves into Jenna and Sephy’s room before glaring at Jenna* What the fuck were you doing, Mother?
Jenna: *glances up as Desiree and Kalysto move into the room. She then shakes her head* Settle down girl.
Kalysto: *growls in a threatening manner at Jenna* No, YOU settle down. You did something with Desiree, and she has no recollection of it! Hell, that wasn’t even Desiree, was it? What the hell did you do, and what was the point!?
Milena: *tries to get out of the high chair. After a few moments, she raises her head and begins to make distressed cries of unhappiness*
Zach: *sits down at the table, ignoring her* Hey Xel, you want to take it outside? Spoiled brat is getting nothing at this point. But the noise is going to get worse before it gets better.
Jenna: You are right with the second guess, Desiree was never in any danger. Despite her belief, *she motions toward Desiree* I have no ill-will toward her. *she then points to the dummy* You were trying to save that the entire time. As for the point, it was solely a test. *She nods at Seph* My mate didn’t believe that you love her. So, such feelings needed to be put to the test.
Desiree: *snarls at Jenna* Like hell you nearly killed him for that!
Xelong: *narrows his eyes at Milena. He then picks up his hare and begins trotting outside*
Kalysto: *growls* That’s it?! Some test! I am insulted that you would do something like that. *snarls* And to be honest? It’s still none of your fucking business. *storms out of the room, heading to go outside* *”Got played like a fool…”*
Milena: *wails loudly as Xelong leaves with the food and begins to bang her paws on the tray in front of her*
Jenna: *glances at Sephiroth* ~Please keep Desiree here. Talk to her as needed.~ *With that, she gets up. She then teleports, reappearing in front of Kalysto* You really are an expert at that storming away in a huff thing, aren’t you? *shakes her head at him* For the record, it is my business for I care for the well-being of my daughter.
Sephiroth: *grunts at Desiree and rises to his feet* Come over here, you. *walks over to Desiree and moves to put his arms around her, saying nothing in the immediate* Understand one thing above all else – I care about your wellbeing. Can you understand that?
Kalysto: Yeah? Yeah? *growls at her* Well you have a fucking twisted way of going about it! I don’t like being jerked around for the sake of your entertainment!
Jenna: You think that was for entertainment? That I did that simply for fun? *narrows her eyes and snorts* No, I was not entertaining myself. I was dead serious in performing my test and finding what the strength of your resolve is. The only thing I can say is that I am sorry for slicing open your stomach. It was meant to be a miss or a graze, but you moved into it.
Kalysto: *glares hard at her, utterly unamused* It was still callous and a stupid call to make. I don’t much appreciate being hacked apart just so you can prove a point! *attempts to shove her and turns around, wanting to keep walking* Way to be an ass.
Jenna: *snorts then teleports once more, appearing in front of him again* Do not think that walking away will get you much of anything, elf. *she shakes her head* Listen, I care about the safety of my daughter. Seph cares even more for such, and while I was willing to have faith in your concern of her without such a test, he was not. *narrows her eyes* Trust me, you wouldn’t have wanted to go through any form of test that he would have thought of. Hrmph, if he didn’t just stab you through the gut for real instead, that is.
Kalysto: He already just about ripped my ear off already. *glares* I don’t want to be subjected to any more of your stupid testing. I don’t care what your opinions are of me – it’s none of your damn business! If Desiree likes my presence, that should be the end of it.
Jenna: *reaches out to touch his shoulder that she shot. She then casts another wave of healing spells on it before looking into his eyes* That was the final test as far as I’m concerned. You passed with flying colors. *smirks* You now have a daughter, so one day you’ll understand exactly why I did what I did.
