Future-Kalysto: *reaches out to grasp Desiree’s hand, then gently kisses the palm of her hand* I can at least do that… my sweet. *moves away from her, then pulls the staff off his back. He wanders into the open, then holds his staff in both hands, approaching Kalysto. Once close enough, he clubs him hard across the side of his head, scowling* Wake up to yourself.
Kalysto: *was watching fire before he gets attacked. He loudly hisses, rubbing his head, glaring back at the attacker* What the fuck was that f… *stares at his future self* …. the hell? This some kind of trick?
Desiree: *Stares as the elder Kalysto kisses her hand. She then mutters to herself* He is still a warlock… right? *Shaking her head, she silently moves to follow after the elder. However, she ducks behind a tree to watch as soon as they reach the area where Kalysto is. However, she cringes in sympathy as Kalysto is hit* I really hope this was a good idea..
Future-Kalysto: *glares down at him, raising a hand as he casts a spell to blast a jet of fire at his back* You’re a weakminded child. You don’t want responsibility? What are you waiting for? *growls* Take your damn dragon hatchling and get used to her, because one day she’ll save your ass. More than once, at that. *picks up his staff and sets it on his back, then crouches down to stroke the tiny girl on the head* Don’t screw her over. You’re all she’s got. *moves away to leave* Don’t make an orphan out of her.
Kalysto: *fans the fire out on the base of his hear* Geez… what the hell?! You crazy old fuckwit, what the hell are you doing? You have no power over me!
Future-Kalysto: *casually flicks his staff out behind him and expertly whacks Kalysto across the face hard as he makes his way back to Desiree*
Desiree: *cringes once more as Kalysto is hit. She then frowns at the elder Kalysto* Umm… Was that really necessary? *she would be just barely visible to her Kalysto if he were still watching the future self as he walked away. She then frowns in thought* It’s probably not a good idea to have me try to send you back..
Future-Kalysto: Oh, relax. I can do that myself. However, one moment… *lowers his head and reaches down his neck, taking off a large gold pendant he is wearing. He calmly puts it around Desiree’s neck, then steps back to admire it* That is to offer protection against the powers of the demon. As long as you wear that, it will enhance your own powers, and ward off demons from being able to control you like a puppet. It will come in handy on the long road ahead. *grasps her hand and moves to kiss it again* My sweet. I am glad that you have brought me here, even if just for a moment so I could gaze at your beauty. Take care of my former self… *his expression hardens* I made a lot of stupid ignorant decisions.
Desiree: *deeply frowns and narrows her eyes* Am I no longer there to be at your side at all? *quickly shakes her head then reaches down to look at the pendant. She then shrugs to herself and decides to let it be* You definitely act like you don’t have me at all…
Future-Kalysto: *makes a very sad sigh, lowering his head and his ears* We were together for a long time… I am not sure how much I should break to you, but… *pauses, looking like he is about to cry* No, it would break the rules of time and space for you to know…
Desiree: *glances at the pendant once more then nods* Well, with luck, that part of his.. your.. whatever!- future won’t happen. *She then shakes her head* It’s still probably best if my mother sends you back and not me. I’m certain you know how fucked up my magic can get.
Future-Kalysto: *shakes his head* I can send myself back to where I was. It’s quite alright. *grins at her* She was the one who taught me. After much nagging, I might add. *sighs at her, hesitant to leave* Make sure I don’t let go of you. And I don’t care how much that alters the path I came from – I would rather be there with you and be changed utterly. *opens a portal and moves to step through, glancing back at her before tossing her his staff also, dissapearing once he steps into the portal completely*
Desiree: *Yelps as the staff is thrown at her. She then groans and mumbles* Great, now he’s going to think that I’m the one that hit him… *frowning down at the staff, she briefly looks over at Kalysto. She then sighs and slowly makes her way back over to his side*
Kalysto: *is still reeling in pain from being struck twice. He looks up at Desiree when she walks over to him with the staff, groaning* Oh god… *raises a hand up* Don’t hit me again…
Desiree: *groans* I knew it… *quickly shakes her head* I’m not the one that hit you. It wasn’t me, and that wasn’t any form of trick or illusion. *she then reaches over to gently touch the the back of Kalysto’s head* I’m sorry, I didn’t know he would do that.
Kalysto: He…? *narrows his eyes and moves to his feet, leaving Milena on the ground* Who was he? He looked like my Grandpa Ultharion from upper Quel’Thalas before he went bald and feeble. But he’s dead. All of them are. *shrugs* You dont even know what my family looked like. *rubs his head* Ouch…
Desiree: *blinks and looks up at Kalysto* You can’t figure that one out? *sighs and shakes her head* He was you. A considerably older you, but still you. And no, I don’t really know what your family looks like.
Kalysto: Ow, damn it… *rubs his head* He was me? That explains why he was a jerk. *snorts* Idiot… *shrugs* Well, I suppose he knew what he was talking about. *glares down at Milena, groaning* Tch… *reaches down to pick her up, heading for Zulmire’s tent* Let’s get out of here. I’m gonna tell the old man that we’re taking off.
Desiree: *Frowns* I’m not cerrtain how effective insulting yourself really is. *sighs then quickly moves to follow after Kalysto. As they make their way to the tent, she maintains her attention on the staff that was given to her. She turns it around several times, trying to figure out if there really is any importance to it*
*the staff given to her is heavily imbued with gems attributing to increased spell-power, and there are also green and blue glowing runes carved into it along it’s length. At the hilt, there are more holes for customization of gems, but they remain blank and empty. A large orb is held in its crook and pulsates with faint glowing energy, seeming to pulsate with Desiree’s heartbeat now that she is holding it in her hands. Just holding the staff may make Desiree feel more powerful, or it may do nothing at all*
Kalysto: *holds Milena in one hand, opening the tent with the other* Hey old man – we’re taking off now. I’m keeping this for a while, *nods to Milena* ..but you can have her back occaisionally. I’m sure she wants to visit. And you’d get lonely on this island all by yourself.
Zulmire: Yeh… *turns his head away, looking sad* See yuh, den.
Desiree: *continues to stare at the staff, marveling at the intricacies found within its craftsmanship. As she trakes her fingers along the glowing runes, she wonders why so many things were placed onto such a weapon. She also takes a glance at the glowing orb. However, she soon returns her attention to Kalysto as he talks to Zulmire. Allowing herself a small grin, she nods then moves to an open area* So, we are going home then?
Kalysto: *makes a defeated sigh* Yeah… we are. *grunts and shakes his head, moving away from her, heading for the clearing witht the baby dragon hybrid* Come on. *walks into open ground, then loudly whistles, calling his nether-drake again. It lands with a bump, then turns its head as it senses the smaller dragon, hissing slightly, feeling threatened by it* Oh come on, stop that.
Zulmire: Ehh… *watches Kalysto leave and goes into his tent, closing the flaps, not wanting to see him off*
Desiree: *glances back at Zulmire, frowning at his attitude. However, she simply shakes her head and moves to follow after Kalysto. However, she tenses up as his dragon begins to make a commotion* Is this going to be a safe way of traveling? I mean, I know your dragon is pretty safe most of the time.. but…
Kalysto: *moves in front of the dragon, pointing at it as if to scold it* Oh he’s fine most of the time. He’s just scared right now. *pokes the Nether Drake’s nose, then frowns as it leaps into the air by itself, flying off* He needs more time… *sighs in frustration* Rhyderi has a dragon… want me to use that one?
Desiree: *Sighs as the dragon flies off. She then shakes her head* Your brother was left in that snow-covered town though. It would take him quite some time to get here. *frowns* I could just teleport us home. That would work, right?
Kalysto: It could… *frowns in thought* Yeah, go ahead and do that. And when you’re done, gimmie a look at that thing. *points to the staff, narrowing his eyes suspiciously* I want to know where you… he got it. Its like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
Desiree: *glances at the staff and shrugs* I definitely can’t answer that one for you. *she shrugs. She then steps up toward him. Soon enough, she wraps her arms about Kalysto, hence holding the said staff right in front of his face. She then closes her eyes and teleports the three of them to their home in Mideel*
