Kalysto: *nods at her* Good. Cold? You can warm up quickly soon enough. *wanders towards the hut, then stands at the front door. He peers inside, then glances around, frowning* Huh. He’s not here. *turns his attention to a nearby woodpile outside and raises a hand, blasting it with a short plume of fire* Warm up on that. I’m going to look for the troll. The brat isn’t around either… they’re out hunting or something. That has to be it…
Desiree: Mmmm.. *Shivers as she moves toward the flames. She then sits down only a foot away from the fire that Kalysto had made for her* I’m sure you’ll find him. *a grin slowly spreads across her lips as the fire begins to warm her up*
Kalysto: *ducks into the forest, flicking his ears as he attempts to listen. He leaves Desiree nearby the tent/hut that has been left behind, and dissapears into the forested area*
Milena: *about ten minutes later, the tiny toddler crawls out of scrubland on ‘all fours’, sees Desiree and promptly scuttles into the hut to hide*
Desiree: *remains close to the fire, quite enjoying the heat that is emanating from it. However, she looks up as Milena crawls into the area. Blinking, she tilts her head before muttering* Damn… she grew fast. Last I saw her, she wasn’t even crawling, at all.
Milena: *makes a chirping noise and hides behind one of the hut support log pylons, timidly peering out at Desiree. She gently sniffs the air, then sits down on her butt, curling her tail around herself*
*after a few seconds a large ornamental carved spear whizzes through the air and embeds hard itself in the dirt literally an inch from Desiree’s left foot*
Desiree: Yea, you’ve definitely grown. And damn fast too.. *yelps as the spear lands in front of her feet. She then leaps to her feet and stumbles away* Fuck! What the hell?!
Zulmire: *hops down from one of the trees he’s been hiding in, landing neatly in front of her. He is currently kitted out in ornamental feathered-wear right now, along with parts of carved bone from the animals he has killed and eaten. He glares at her through the eye holes of the skull mask he wears, then rises to his feet, his tusks pointed at her, inching in closer so he can retrieve his spear* You done a bad mistake, human.
Desiree: Umm… Blue dude. You know me. I’m Desiree. You know, I hang out with Kalysto. *she points the way that Kalysto went* Warlock dude that is trying to find you. *she then whimpers as she looks at the spear*
Zulmire: Oh… wat…? *his posture relaxes and he raises the skull mask, blinking at her before shaking his head, tossing the mask off before moving over to hug her* Oh shiet, sorreh miss. I uh… *backs off again, looking sheepish* I didn’t know. You look different.
Desiree: *tenses up, mostly because she wasn’t expecting to be hugged. She then blinks and stares wide-eyed at Zulmire* Ummm… right? I haven’t done anything to change my look. My bangs are still silver, rest of my hair still dark brown… yea.. Not much change.
Zulmire: You be surprised. *wanders towards the tent, then flicks the door open, inviting her inside* Come on. We best be gettin out o’ teh weather before it changes. *sits down on the sandy* So you be sayin’ dat Ka-leesto is here? Heh. Damn that boy don’t want no responsibilities. *leans back, frustrated*
Melina: *stares up at Zulmire, then moves to hide behind him quickly*
Desiree: Yes, Kalysto is here. He went off into the jungle looking for you. *sighs then makes her way to the hut. After sitting down, she stares at the dragon-elf again* Damn, that girl grew fast. What is she, only six months old?
Zulmire: *nods his head* Just a liddle older than dat. She is gonna be walkin’ any day now. And den she be runnin’ around… and den I gotta keep on my toes, because she ees not afraid of ‘de things that like to hunt here. *sighs tiredly* Don’t wanna go chasin’ her all th’ time…
Desiree: Well.. she is Kalysto’s… You can try talking to him. *she tentatively reaches out to touch Melina* At least she looks quite healthy.
Zulmire: She better! I have to hunt for her practic’ly every damn hour o’ the day. *chuckles and scoops her out from behind him, setting her in his lap* I assume that be why he here? *looks out of the tent* For an elf, he sure isn’t very attentive to his surroundin’s sometimes.
Milena: *immediately tries to hide in amongst Zulmire’s shoulder feathers, but this doesn’t work due to the fact she is neither the bluey colour of the troll’s shoulder skin, nor the browny colour of the feathers. Shortly afterwards, she gives up. And then begins to knaw on a jagged edge of the bone armor*
Desiree: Umm… Well, I don’t know anything about elves and keeping an eye on their surroundings. *She tilts her head as she watches Milena. She then mutters* Yea, I can definitely see that she’s a real hand full. Then again, Kalysto must have given you good practice.
Zulmire: Ka-leesto was actualleh a rather decent kid. *pulls Milena’s mouth off his armor, then sets her down by his knee* He was still in mourning of teh loss of his mother when I got him, so he was more quiet an’ withdrawn den anyfing else. He grew outta dat, tho. Den he become a teenager, and den he start challengin’ everythin. By 16, he was a lost cause. *chuckles awkwardly*
Desiree: Ah.. I see. *She shrugs* He doesn’t seem to be that lost of a cause in my opinion. He really isn’t that bad at all. *sighs* ~Umm.. Kalysto, you know they’re both here, right?~
Kalysto: *”I know they’re both around here somewhere. Duh. That’s why I’m looking? I’m following one of the hunting paths, but… I’m bound to run into them soon. I found little dragon feet tracks. And they’re pretty fresh.”*
Zulmire: I mean like… *shrugs his shoulder* He know he wanted to be a Warlock earlier ‘dan 16. But by 16, he realize he have no authority from me any more and he go off to do it anyway. Make sense?
Desiree: ~Ummm… No. I just said that they are here, with me. As in I’m staring at them. They are back here near the hut. Is that clear enough for you?~ *She then looks at Zulmire* He still isn’t all that bad. He’s just… well… Strange.
Zulmire: *rubs his hair* Oof… yeah, dat one was always paticularly strange… eben for a elf. I be meetin wif other elfs ‘afore AND after him. And he the weirdest one yet. Always doin weird stuff. Always behave in weird manner. Is jus’ him I guess. No matter. *shrugs* We get along OK now, because I let him do his stuff an’ jus let him be him. An’ I got Melina t’ take care of now. *picks up the small dragon hybrid and cuddles her* An’ t’ be honest, if he doesn’t ever come back for her, she’s not gonna be wifout care.
Milena: *makes a loud chirp and licks Zulmire’s face*
Kalysto: *”How did I not see them? That doesn’t even make sense… I’m coming back now.”*
Desiree: ~I don’t know how you didn’t see them. Zulmire said that you don’t pay attention to your surroundings though.~ *Shrugs to herself. She then chuckles as Milena licks Zulmire’s face* Well, that’s good. It would suck for her to be completely alone. *Frowns* Though, she still deserves to have the love of her real parents..
Zulmire: Yeh? The mother is a dragon, ey? When I took a ride down to where the humans of this planet live, they tell stories of the giant dragon that rapes people. It fit Ka-leesto’s description. Ask him – it’s a big dragon isn’t it? If so.. no chance of motherly love ‘dere. *shakes his head* A kid can keep on growing and be happy without i’s parents. As long as somebody is there…
Kalysto: *wanders back to the tent, raising a flap as he walks inside* Having a tea party in here, girls?
Desiree: Yea, I suppose. But a child will also always long for that parent to come back and show something. *sighs and shakes her head* I suppose it doesn’t matter. But… It just kinda something I went through once. *She then looks up at Kalysto* Tea party? No.
Kalysto: Relax, it’s a taunt. *moves to sit down in the tent, idly flicking sand at Desiree as he sits down* So… you’re the one who wanted me to come, old man. What do you want from me this time? I heard your calling – that was easy. However, just getting you to shut up was the hard part. So what is it? I’m here.
Zulmire: *sighs at him, then glances at Desiree* If you hear the chatter, ‘da lady be right. *picks up Milena and places her in his lap* She should be wif you. She doesn’t even know you. Fix eet at least.
Milena: *immediately ducks her head, nervous at the sudden proximity of the stranger*
