I completely adore Little Big Planet. I supported it from the first day I set eyes on it. Sackboy and everything else in it are such adorable creations that I cannot deny their awesomeness.

Almost time for Starcraft
Well, within the next few weeks, I shall finally have my hands on Starcraft 2 and all the critters that come along with it. I’ve had this game pre-ordered since early last year, so I am more than glad that it is finally coming out.
However, I might not be able to fully enjoy the game until I get my new computer finally built. As it is, I’ve just been nabbing parts here and there. I have a case, a monitor, a power supply, and a sound card (yes, I know that isn’t needed, but I prefer having improved sound for my surround-sound speakers) in the bag. Within the next two months, I’ll go into full gear and buy the rest of the items.
So, for now, I think I’ll have to hope that Starcraft runs fine on my laptop. To date, my laptop hasn’t had many issues with games at all. So, I think I should be perfectly fine with that set-up.
Of course… I am so going to suck at the game. Heh. I’ve never been great at being patient for resources.

It’s really been a while since I updated, haven’t I? I really should more often.
Aside from my mother, which you can read about in my one previous post, I’m pretty actually somewhere normal for once. If you read the Halcyon files at all, you will see the extras RPs that appeared there, that really should be updated more. They don’t, and that is ultimately my fault. I make excuses and don’t update them as motivation waxes and wanes, but for once I decided to fluff them up, They need more love and if I sink into another one of my moody near-depression ruts, my creativity energies go down into the toilet.
It’s not good.
But yeah, today I am feeling somewhat towards normal. Happy day, warm afternoon, good food, no family complaints for once. These days will be even fewer in the months to come, so enjoy them while you can. Really. Don’t take the mundane for granted. It is probably the one thing you will remember most and crave for when the normalcy in your life no longer exists.
Another thing I want to put in the Addendum this week are Kalysto/Zulmire/Rhyderi solos. I used to write Solo-RP when I was in the Dragon Clan Lands (Another RP site I visit, with over 200 registered members, but there’s probably only about a handful active at any one given time), and it was one of the things I enjoyed. They weren’t quite fanfictions, but they were current-event character vignettes I enjoyed thinking of. They helped to get my little creative spurs going.
I honestly like RP more than I ever did Fanfic-ing. When you have somebody whom is likeminded enough, and a kindred spirit in your creativity, your work is a combination of efforts, rather than something that came out of your own head. And it reminds you that you are not alone in the world. You are not some rare flower that nobody understands. There is another who shares your interests and gives enough of a damn about them to ride along with you and come up with something great. This is one of the reasons I have RPed with Jenn/Seferia for like, 9 years now. It just feels natural. A likeminded person who, you know, actually GETS the jist of what you’re thinking. It’s more fun. It’s like having your most favourite thing in the world and you can share it with somebody. It’s pretty special.
So yeah, if motivation kicks hard enough this week, expect to see some Kalysto/Rhyderi/Zulmire solos from me in the future. They will be tied to the RP, but they will be afters, Kalysto’s teenage years, stuff Desiree didn’t come back to the past for. I want to fill in the gaps, and it’s a pretty good way to do it.

Yay for nostalgia!
I grew up in the 80s, that is a fact. I think 80s cartoons was a golden age, that is an opinion. I continue to watch cartoons even in current times, that is a fact. So, I can fully say that there are some sucky 80s cartoons out there as well as some great current generation cartoons out there. I will admit that my belief that the 80s held a golden age status is only my opinion and could be clouded with childhood memories.
Anyway, for the reason such a strange topic came to my mind: While randomly searching through the bowels of the internet out of boredom, I decided to look up Denver, The Last Dinosaur. I will not hesitate to state that this show was cheesy, but hey, watching it for fun harms no one. Also, I really hope that more of my childhood shows show up in this manner. These are not shows that I really feel the need to gather box sets for. Not only would box sets take up space, but they would cost both me and the studio that releases them money. To be honest, I don’t think there’s a good market out there for these silly titles, but there’s enough of us that will go looking for ad-supported free streams. I’m certain it can be done.
In other news: if you like music, if you like games, you must get Beat Hazard. This is one of the great games that have come out of the indie scene. It is still new at the moment, so there’s some tweaking that needs to be done. Still, this is a game that I won’t hesitate to suggest to the masses. It simply is a blast. Also, all my music kills me!
Lastly, I’m still waiting for my Monster Hunter Tri! Oh, I probably could have gotten it earlier if I had gone with gamestop or something, but I support Amazon. Le sigh, at least I have time to work on my backlog while I wait for it. Once I get it though.. Monster, look out!
I need to get new sheets for my bed
I only have one good set that I really love for my bed at the moment, and to be honest, that set is starting to wear. Ok, it’s been wearing for a while. So, I think it’s time that I seriously consider getting a new bedding set. Thus, I am gathering this list of potential sets.
Soho Bed-In-A-Bag® – Bed in a Bag reg Sets – I rather like the blue on here. The dark brown is a bit of a strong contrast, but it is indeed a complimentary color. It’s not my favorite, but it’s not bad.
– This set is ok, but I can’t say that I’m overly attracted to it. The price doesn’t help either.
– Another one that I’m not 100% with. I’m not big on the idea of having a black and white bed set. However, the design is nice…
And that’s all that I’m finding now. Somehow, I don’t think I’ll be buying a set quite yet.

Ok, maybe this is a mean thing to do here, but I am going to do it anyway.
Generally, for the last few years, I have been a large fan of David Willis and his webcomics. His art style has pleased me in several ways throughout the years. I’ve even bought a few prints from him. However, today, I have to say that his sense of style has failed to impress me.
Now, maybe I am being a bit overcritical. However, I just can’t like that layout at all. The shade of yellow that he has going on as backgrounds for his segments to the right hand side of the page is simply puke inspired in my opinion. It just doesn’t please. Also, he has a strange sense of layout. Half-way down that right hand row, there’s a segment that temporarily breaks up the flow.
Now, I’d be more forgiving for most sites. However, since David Willis is an artist.. I’m sorry. Go back to the drawing board, Willis.
