Jenna: *stares at Sephiroth for a few moments. She then shakes her head and mutters* Sometimes, you sound too much like your father for comfort. *softly sighs* Do you at least approve of the boy’s name?
Sephiroth: It’s a strange name. I don’t know why you would name my genetic copy after the male I worked with when I was in the ShinRa Army, and later betrayed. It almost sounds like a form of punishment.
Jenna: *Shrugs* It was a name. It was easy to think of. It works. And a form of punishment for whom? *frowns at him* I don’t see how that would torment the boy. *glances down at Zach* In fact, at the moment, I don’t think that he has the brain power to be tormented by anything. He hasn’t spoken at all… He should have some basic speech. The two girls clearly do. *points to Desiree and Cancer*
Sephiroth: *frowns* You’re right. *glances over at Zach as he sits down on the bed* Boy. Look up here and say something. Do you know where you are? *frowns* Nod your head if you even understand what we’re saying.
Zach: *ignores him and places the bowl on the floor, now standing over it, on ‘all fours’, continuing to pick up the fruit pieces with his mouth and chew on them*
Jenna: *Crosses her arms and frowns at the results of Sephiroth’s inquiries* Perhaps he got the programming for a grazing animal and not something sentient… *reaches out with her right hand then gently prods Zach’s back* ~Do you understand us?~
Zach: *stops eating long enough to glance up at Jenna, growling at her* NO! *He grabs his bowl of food and retreats for the corner, posessively hugging it before sitting down, continuing to eat. He is near finished though, and starts whining when all the fruit is gone*
Sephiroth: I think he understands you. But he’s being ignorant. *shakes his head and snorts*
Jenna: *Frowns at Zach’s behavior* ~If you want more, you’re going to need to ask nicely, boy. We’re not going to give you more if you continue acting like that.~ *she shakes her head. Then, she looks at Seph* We’re going to need to get supplies for the new children..
Desiree: *looks up at the boy as he starts whining. She then walks over to the bed, still hugging onto her Sephiroth plush, and whimpers as she jumps a bit, indicating that she wants up*
Zach: *stares down at Desiree, wondering what she’s doing down there. He growls slightly when she jumps, interpretting her move as an attempt on his food. He growls louder and throws the empty plastic bowl at her*
Sephiroth: I will get some new cribs today. Or a bunk bed. Or something… *shrugs* Maybe I will give them another room. I can’t see Desiree being too thrilled about two strange children in her territory. I also can’t—*hisses as Zach throws the bowl at Desiree and reaches out to whack him just hard enough to give him a shock*
Desiree: *yelps as the bowl flies at her. She then instinctively uses her small psychic abilities to push the bowl away just enough that it’d miss her. She then whimpers and runs to Seph’s feet, clutching onto him* No bad… *sniffles*
Jenna: *narrows her eyes at Zach’s behavior* ~That was not acceptable at all. Our daughter didn’t do anything to you.~
Sephiroth: *picks Desiree up, setting her down in his lap* Forgive him, Desiree. He still has to adjust to certain things, I think.. *narrows his eyes at the boy* Just give him some time. I’m sure you’ll be allies once he learns to stop being difficult.
Zach: *covers the red area and begins to howl and cry, upset because he was slapped*
Jenna: *deeply sighs then picks up Zack. She casts a small healing spell on him to relieve him of the sting from the slap. She then shakes her head* Behave and that won’t happen again. *frowns at Seph* Not that someone who is the strongest being on his planet should be delivering slaps at all…
Sephiroth: I didn’t hit him hard. Do you see a welt mark? Do you see a bruise? *snorts, then moves a hand to Desiree’s head, running his hands through her hair, massaging her scalp* Besides, he tried to attack the girl. She wasn’t doing anything. I’m not going to play favourites, but he needs to know straight off the mark that throwing things is not appreciated.
Zach: *hugs onto Jenna’s arm, continuing his loud crying noise. Within a few minutes he calms again, but doesn’t seem ready to leave Jenna’s arms*
Jenna: *groans at Seph* That still doesn’t meant that you should be assaulting him, Seph. *shakes her head* Even a portion of your strength is enough to severely harm something of his size. *gently pats Zach’s back, waiting for the boy to calm down enough to let go of her*
Zach: *is quiet again and calm, but continues holding onto Jenna’s arm. He begins to lick it, then playfully chews on her skin, not intending to bite her hard*
Sephiroth: How else do you punish them, then? A smack is a reasonable form of punishment. Trying to talk to a child that small and reason with them is a bit of a chore. It’s easier to punish them, and send them on their way.
Jenna: *shrugs* Have you ever smacked Desiree when she’s done something wrong, Seph? Hm? *shakes her head at him. She then glances down at Zach* Strange boy…
Sephiroth: Not yet, but I would if it came to that. *frowns at Zach’s current behaviour* You should probably discourage him from that. I can’t see that becoming a socially acceptable thing any time soon. If he starts doing that to others, I’d especially put a stop to it.
Zach: *begins blowing raspberries on Jenna’s arm*
Jenna: *shakes her head at Seph* I still think that you, out of all creatures, should refrain from hitting a child, Seph. You know full well how powerful you are. *frowns as she sniffs Zach’s smell. She then gets to her feet and moves toward the hot springs*
Zach: *continues to chew on Jenna’s arm in a playful manner, stopping when she moves. His eyes widen slightly as he sees the water in the spring area, and reaches out towards it, seeming to want to touch it, thinking that it is rather much like the cloning tank amniotic fluid he was in before* Ooh…
Sephiroth: *frowns* *”I didn’t hit him hard. And I will continue to do so for as long as he needs it.”*
Jenna: ~Hmph, Seph, why are you so insistent in holding onto Hojo’s beliefs on that part? Do you not recall how much you hated being assaulted by him?~ *she gently removes Zach’s robe. Then, she sets him down in the shallow bit of the spring. Soon enough, she begins to strip down as well* ~Do any of the other children need baths?~
Sephiroth: *carefully sniffs Desiree* *”Yes.”* *glances over at Cancer, who is having fun playing with Desiree’s toys right now* *”And I don’t know about the other, but I would assume it to be the case.”* *picks Desiree up, then moves over to Cancer, picking her up as well* *”They’re not Hojo’s beliefs. I just think physical punishment shouldn’t be disregarded. There’s a difference between punishment, and leaving injury.”*
Jenna: ~Seph, there is still a strong possibility that you may misjudge your slap and cause injury. Most especially you.~ *She tosses her clothing to the side. Then, she sits down in the water and sets Zach down in her lap again* Behave yourself. Understand?
Zach: *slowly nods his head, then tries to wiggle away from her, lowering his head, trying to immerse himself under the water* Mmmm! *reaches out for it, flicking some at Jenna, grinning*
Sephiroth: *”It’s not going to happen. And if it does, well…”* *scowls and appears in the doorway, then sets the girls down and begins to strip them down* Follow your mother into the water. It’s warm, don’t be afraid of it.
Desiree: *looks at Jenna. She spots Zach and whimpers. She then backs up closer to Seph and hugs onto him. However, she doesn’t let go enough for him to remove her clothes*
Jenna: *frowns at Zach* ~Don’t do that, you’ll drown.~ *she sends him a psychic impression of what it’s like to drown* ~You wouldn’t like that at all.~ *she slightly grins as he splashes her though. Then, she reaches over and grabs some soap*
Cancer: *is quick to follow her brother into the water once stripped down. She happily moves across the rocks and into the shallows, moving over to Jenna, holding onto her arm for support* Eeee! Is nice…
Sephiroth: *frowns* Desiree. What are you doing? *sighs and tries to pry her off so he can properly strip her down* Don’t you want a bath?
Zach: *grins at Jenna’s expression, then splashes her even more. When she sends him the psychic impression of what it’s like to drown however, he straightens his posture, wanting to keep his head out of the water entirely* Noo… *whimpers*
Jenna: Shhh.. *pats Zach’s head* I won’t let you drown. Still, you don’t want to do that. *she returns to scrubbing him down with the soap. For now, she ignores Cancer since she has her hands full with Zach alone*
Desiree: *whimpers and lets Sephiroth undress her. However, she sends an impression that she’s a bit scared of Zach since he threw something at her. So, she wants to stay with Sephiroth instead*
