Sephiroth: *scowls, trying to turn his head away from her again, then steps back* Hmph… Well as it stands right now, I certainly don’t feel as if I can do anything without getting into trouble for it. I can’t go outside and sit somewhere alone – that will probably be classified as abandonment. I can’t do a damn thing right now. I can’t leave, I can’t talk about it, and now I can’t go anywhere. This is why I am asking for your permission.
Jenna: We are talking about it right here and now, Seph. *scowls at him* And quite honestly, do you dislike me that much that you feel a need to go distance yourself and “sit somewhere alone”? *shakes her head*
Sephiroth: *scowls at her comment, turning his head back towards her, making a slight ‘tch’ noise, not seeming to want to say anything further on the subject* Sometimes I respond better when I am allowed to sit out and spend time alone to think about it.
Jenna: *loudly snorts at his reasoning. She then turns her back on him in turn* Do as you wish, Sephiroth. You are an adult and I can do nothing to stop you from whatever the hell you want to do.
Sephiroth: *moves past her, stopping in the doorway* I am only going upstairs to feed myself. I’m not going to go anywhere else. After that I’m going to come back down here. If there was anything else you wanted to talk about, we can discuss it then, or you can follow me upstairs now.
Jenna: *Shrugs then shifts into her natural form again. Soon after, she moves to lie down in the bed. again*
Sephiroth: *spends the next hour or so upstairs, preparing himself a large meal. He sits down to eat it, then stores the rest as leftovers. Once properly fed and content, he heads back downstairs to stretch, nodding ahead of himself as he walks into the spring* I will be in here for some time. *leaves the door open as he strips down, then dives into the deeper parts of the water, intending to do not much but relax in the warmth of the spring*
Jenna: *simply remains on the bed. She is tired out both emotionally and physically. So, she doesn’t put much effort into even acknowledging Seph. Instead, she just pretends that she is asleep, even though she’s not quite asleep*
Sephiroth: *once finished in the spring, he towels himself dry and heads for the bed, placing on a clean pair of underpants. He sits down on the edge of the bed, yawning, scratching the back of his head*
Jenna: *remains unresponsive and as if she were asleep. However, her breathing would give away the fact that she’s still awake*
Sephiroth: *glances back at Jenna, then quietly sighs and lies down next to her, reaching out to touch her arm, lightly stroking it moments later*
Jenna: *Softly sighs. She then slowly moves over to snuggle up against Sephiroth. However, she remains silent and doesn’t bother saying a word to him*
Sephiroth: *stays reasonably still, tolerating her prescence on this occaison. Once she has snuggled up against him, he puts an arm around her and begins to gently hum, otherwise saying nothing for now*
Jenna: *softly speaks* Is it such a horrible thing for me to want you to be with me rather than away? That’s all I want.
Sepihroth: *shakes his head* No. It’s not. *is silent for a long time, tracing the line of her spine with his fingers, feeling her neck vertebrae as he thinks* However, yes, I can be more informative when I leave in future. When I left before, I was leaving for a genuine reason. I was also still offended about our previous discussion subject.
Jenna: *grumbles* Why must you get fixated on singular events. It is when you do things regularly that I get irritated. Not single time events. You’ve been distancing yourself since Desiree was born. One excuse after another… *deeply frowns* I just want you to be here.. Like this.
Sephiroth: *frowns* Has it really seemed like that? I haven’t been avoiding my responsibility. Not at any point… *seems confused* What has been making you reach that conclusion?
Jenna: I’ve told you what you’ve been doing over and over again. I’m not repeating myself again, Seph. *Shakes her head* I’m too tired of it. Continue to defend yourself or accept my words. I don’t give a damn any more.
Sephiroth: I am unsure of how to reply… if I cannot explain, or it is seen as ‘defending’ myself, then this isn’t very open to discussion, now is it? *frowns* If I can’t respond with my own reply, then it’s just you telling me what I can and what I can’t do.
Jenna: *softly snorts* If it is your actions which are causing a problem, then perhaps you should actually consider the fact that you are wrong. *turns away from him* I’m tired. *she tries to pretend that she’s gone to sleep once more*
Sephiroth: *sighs and shuffles back to his side of the bed, lying back in it to relax. After some time he closes his eyes and falls asleep, beginning to lightly snore*
Jenna: *opens her eyes once she notices the snoring noises. She deeply frowns. Soon enough, she sits upright and examines Seph. She then tries to reposition him so that he might stop snoring*
Sephiroth: *begins to mumble when Jenna moves him* Stop it… mother… *furrows his brows slightly, but does not wake up, even when repositioned* …no… *soon settles down again and seems peaceful as he continues to sleep*
Jenna: *blinks and looks at Seph as if he were insane. She then shakes her head* Mother? I thought you got over that by now. *deeply sighs. She then begins to gently massage his chest. Soon enough, she settles down next to him, but she does not sleep*
