Kalysto: Better laundry detergent than money laundering, hmm? *smirks at her and attempts to rub it in, splashing water on it* But yeah, that thing was hideous. I wouldn’t have minded carving off some of the alien’s flesh to dry out though. It could have had a medicinal use. *shrugs* I guess we’ll nebver know.
Desiree: *shakes her head and mutters* It looked like Jenova.. If there were medical uses for that type of thing, I’m certain my grandfather would have found them by now… Not that he ever cared for the well-being of others. *keeps her head lowered in order to make things easier for Kalysto*
Kalysto: *continues to wash Desiree’s hair, rinsing slowly with water* Mmm, you smell lemon fresh now. *smirks and continues to wash, being rather gentle about it as he finishes washing off all of the white stuff as well as the soap* You’re good now. I’d say to pop into the regular shower and wash your hair as normal to restore some of the oil stripped from it by the detergent powder.
Desiree: *nods and quickly moves to drain the water from the tub* Yea, I think I’ll do that. *she stands up then grins at Kalysto* Thank you… Thank you very much. *shakes her head* I’m glad you came when you did. *with that, she begins prepping a real shower*
Kalysto: So am I… or you could be trying to wash yourself feverently for a different reason… *looks quite unhappy and slips out of the room to give Desiree some privacy* *”I will be in the laundry, stirring my robe.”*
Desiree: ~That sounds like a very strange to do.. Stir a piece of clothing, that is. Why don’t you just have it dry cleaned? Hm… Do you even know what dry cleaning is?~ *she begins to shower. During the course of her shower, she’d cleanse herself at least three times over*
Kalysto: *”Dry cleaning? All I’m doing is soaking my robe in soapy cold water and slowly stiring it to get rid of all the dirt. That’s how you should generally clean any magic robe. If you use hot water, or rubbing agents, you can trigger off some magical effect, or disrupt an enchantment, or similar.”*
Desiree: ~Hmm… Umm… Well, I’d explain dry cleaner to you, but I don’t even really understand it. I just know some clothes are “dry clean only”.~ *She shrugs* ~I just thought I’d mention a more modern way of doing things.~ *begins to dry herself off then mutters* Disgusting alien..
Kalysto: *”If this works, do it. Isn’t that right? I can do it your way next time. For now, I’m just going to hang this up when it’s properly cleaned, then bash it with a rug beater to get the excess water out. I don’t exactly live in the desert of Durotar any more, but the sun will dry it out nevertheless.”*
Desiree: ~Oh, I don’t care how you clean your clothes. It’s ok, Kalysto.~ *she looks around the room before slipping on some clean clothing*
Kalysto: *”Oh, very good.”* *continues to stir his robe around in the water, feeling quite satisfied about it now. He hooks it up in a clothy ball on a stick, then carries it out to hang* *”Check on Milena, would you? She’s quiet.”*
Desiree: *nods and moves into Milena’s room* Hmm.. *tilts her head then walks to the dragon hybrid’s side before patting the top of her head* Hey, you.
Milena: *looks up at Desiree, then tries to paw her, wanting to be let up. She makes a light squeaking noise as she demands with her paws, wiggling in the process. She then begins to screech, REALLY wanting to be picked up, upset* Rrriii-rriii-riiiii!! *thinks of all the foods Zulmire has hunted for her and telepathically shows Desiree the images*
Desiree: *Sighs at Milena* I don’t think now is a good time to hunt… Bad things have happened. *shakes her head then picks the girl up* However… I’ll go feed you. Come on. *with that, she walks to the kitchen so that she can prepare food for the household. As she does this, she tosses a raw chicken leg to Milena*
Milena: *loudly squeaks and quickly snaps at the chicken leg, chewing it up in her teeth. She is rather hungry as she does this, and doesn’t seem to care as she chews through bone, splintering it before chewing it up, swallowing shortly after. She makes another squeak after she finishes it, wanting more*
Desiree: *sighs at Milena and shakes her head. She then continues to work on making food for herself, Kalysto, Milena, and the demons that live in the household*
As for the following weeks to months, Desiree spends most of her time helping out either Kalysto with his garden or the Felhunter puppies, at least into the pack is old enough to be on their own. She also spends quite a bit of time with her own demon, working on training him.
Meanwhile, Jenna doesn’t do quite as much during this time. While she does watch over her growing children, her maturing pregnancy keeps her from adventuring and such. As the fetus inside her grows, she begins experiencing annoying pricks of pain, though not severe, in her uterus. Though she doesn’t think anything is too wrong, she has mentioned these annoyances to Sephiroth.
*over the next month, the Felhunters grow to full size and are pretty much on the cusp of independance. They fight often and don’t cluster as a group any more, and some frequently adventure away from the house altogether*
Kalysto: *now that he has finished the herb garden, he tends to it by watering it and flicking moist compost over it to make the herbs grow better*
Sephiroth: *between his work and going to the ShinRa building to work more, he keeps an eye on Jenna. He takes the time to spend more of his time around home to tend to her if needed, mostly working on his desk in the top bedroom*
Desiree: *sighs as she comes across a large pile of felhunter dung. She then groans* ~Kalysto… I think I need your help in sending those “puppies” to their home.~
Lezprah: *strolls over to the dung heap and paws it before snorting in disgust*
Kalysto: *”Good luck with rounding them up. And good luck finding the right ones. For all you know, you might have picked Droozun. They all look pretty damn identical.”* *picks up his watering can and runs it over the newer plants* *”And some of them have already run off.”*
Desiree: ~Well, the easy way to solve that is to send Droozun away yourself, hm? He’s tamed to you, so you can summon him again anyway, so that shouldn’t be a big deal.~ *moves out of the house* ~So, should I just let them be then? The ones that ran away will probably be killed by the soldiers in the area..~
Kalysto: *”It doesn’t matter what you do with them now. Droozun has detatched from them and I doubt they’re particularly tame themselves. Hunt them down, send them back to the nether, try to barbaque them, it’s an open book.”* *glances at the bushes as he sees one stumble out with a bloodied rodent in it’s teeth* *”There’s one here. I think it’s kiled something.”*
Desiree: ~Well, seeing as they belong to your felhunter, they’re more or less yours. So, if you don’t want to do anything about them, then that’s what we should do.~ *she walks over to Kalysto’s garden then glances at the felhunter* Yea, that’s definitely a dead something..
Jenna: *is currently reading another one of the books that she had acquired from the dragon on Earth. However, she twitches in annoyance after some time and rubs her now swelled abdomen* Damn…
Kalysto: *rises to his feet properly, setting the watering can down now* Be careful because they’re not tame. A fullgrown Felhunter can do some pretty bad damage if you’re not careful. *approaches the Felhunter slowly, then reaches over to pick it up, actually seeming surprised as it doesn’t struggle an inch* Open a gateway, I’ll send it in.
*The Felhunter casually pants and relaxes her limbs, not seeming in the least bit bothered*
Desiree: Hmm… *glances over the felhunter, checking over its stalks for signs of past damage* Yea, we should probably send it back.. *she then opens up a small rift to the astral plane* In you go.
Kalysto: *tosses the Felhunter in. He picks up it’s chewed-up rodent and tosses that in too* Thanks. *dusts off his hands* That’s one less of them to deal with. If they’re all that placid, it’s going to be a lot easier than I thought. Of course, they were raised partially by you. You seemed to strike a note with them. When I got my own Felhunter, he wanted to rip my arms off.
