Desiree: *Groans once more, still a bit drowsy since she’s just waking up. She then blinks as she realizes that she heard Kalysto’s voice. So, she slowly pushes herself up to sit up a bit and looks at him* Thought you were leaving..
Kalysto: I did, and now I am back here… what do you want to do, rub it in? *growls* Don’t even bother getting up. *raises his right hand and begins to idly make the hand into a fist, opening the palm again to make a simple incineration spell. He aims it at the ground, then closes the palm, ending the spell again. He repeats this process five or six times, then kicks at the charred patch of floor with a boot*
Desiree: *softly sighs at him and shakes her head* I’m not about to rub it in… *she gives him a small grin, trying to be comforting. However, her grin wavers as she watches what he’s dong. She then sighs and glances off toward the side*
Kalysto: You never should have brought me here. *glances up at her and narrows his eyes, moving to his feet* It was a mistake. **glances down at the floor again* Eveyrthing is foreign, and what I do is already an issue. I don’t belong.
Desiree: *frowns at Kalysto* I don’t have a problem with what you do… I actually rather like it. *she gives him a small grin once more* And.. I didn’t bring you here either. Something you did messed with my spell…
Kalysto: Of course – it’s my fault. When in doubt, blame it on the damn Warlock. It’s naturally evil, so everything bad happens because of it. *flicks his ears back, but the expression is rather lost with them tucked in his hood* Go to hell.
Desiree: What? *she quickly shakes her head* You’re not evil, Kalysto. Heh, far from it. *she frowns* What I meant was that I was doing a rather benign activity. Just scrying energies. You did something that made runes appear on my floor… I’ve scried for energies thousands of times, and no one other than you have ever appeared. *she shrugs* You’re still not evil.
Kalysto: *stares at her* You scry without anything? *shrugs* Zulmire normally did that with dust. Or water. Or with that weird dragon’s eye orb he has. It does more than that, though… if you use it properly, you can see memories. They don’t even have to be yours. If somebody remembered them, it can be viewed. *pulls at a glove, then yanks it off, poking at the scar on his right hand* Why am I even telling you this…
Desiree: *she nods* Yea, I can scry without any outside assistance. It’s not that hard. *she shrugs* I’ve always been able to hear spirits and the sort. My siblings always thought that I was strange or insane. *she shrugs once more* If you don’t want to tell me stuff… you don’t need to.
Kalysto: Yes, I know that. I don’t know why I am. *shrugs his shoulders, then tosses his glove onto the bed opposite Desiree, slowly pushing himself to his feet again, muttering* God, that was unpleasant… *sits down on the bed opposite, his back to her. He then buries his face in his hands and groans lightly, sighing afterwards*
Desiree: *blinks and tilts her head as she watches Kalysto toss his glove onto the bed. She then cranes her neck a bit to try to get a look at his hand* Umm… *she bites her lower lip. However, she then glances away and shrugs*
Kalysto: *flicks one ear back towards her, then raises the hand up to show her the deep scar on his hand* Take a picture, it lasts forever. *lowers the hand back onto the bed, then pushes it down, using it to support himself as he pushes back onto the bed and moves to lie down* I know what you want to know before you even say anything – how did that get there? Well, lets just say… stupid move on my behalf.
Desiree: I wasn’t going to bother you about it… *she shakes her head* I just was wondering what was bothering you. *She shrugs before glancing at his hand again*
Kalysto: What’s wrong with me? That nagging icy craving is back and bothering me, as it always does. And there isn’t shit I can do about it, because the moment I do, somebody’s going to play captain-hero and try to “save me from myself”. *flicks his ears back as far as they will go, then turns his back to her as he lies on his side*
Desiree: Oh… *She deeply frowns in thought. Soon enough, she glances off to the side before teleporting a fully leveled All materia into her hand from her small pile of materia. She then hands it to Kalysto* Sorry, I don’t have much better at the moment..
Kalysto: *doesnt bother turning around* Don’t try to satiate me. The energy from your world is harmful. I was doing just fine until I got stuck here. You, of course, know that, right? *scowls and punches the bed*
Desiree: It’s.. harmful… *She frowns and lowers her head* I’m sorry… *she sighs then moves to lie down again* I was trying to help you.
Kalysto: *shrugs his shoulders* Not your fault. Don’t really know what to say to you, though. *glares at the room around them* If this wasn’t your idea, it was somebody’s whom is very close by and wishes to keep an eye on me… *curls up*
Desiree: *deeply frowns* It was my mother. Remember? We were both in the hall when she did it… *She frowns in thought. She then glances over Kalysto* Can you take in the magical energy of other creatures?
Kalysto: *glances back at her momentarily, then turns his head away again* You didn’t just ask that. Nor did you insinuate any suggestion just from mentioning that. So no, that doesn’t even really deserve a reply.
Desiree: Kalysto, I did just ask that… *she slowly scoots closer to him* You have my permission to go ahead. If it will make you feel any better, that is. If it won’t help at all… Don’t worry about it.
Kalysto: *sharply* I generally prefer to steal the souls of shit that I hate. Sure, I could steal your energy and shard your soul up however I want to, but you’ll never be the same after it. *scowls* I know my craft. I also know what it’s capable of. Don’t try to insinuate that I don’t.
Desiree: I wasn’t trying to insinuate anything… I’m just trying to help you. *She sighs and points at the materia again* Well, that’s basically crystalized soul energy.. I guess that’ll have to do.
Kalysto: *makes a sharp frustrated sound, then sits up again, his brows set in a deep scowl, sighing at her in defeat* Look, I apologize – I know you are trying to help me. And I appreciate it. *sharply again* But you shouldn’t. *snorts, then finally picks up the materia* But, fine… *attempts to crush the small round object in his bare hand, slowly breaking it down into it’s raw energy components. He raises his other hand and begins to drain the life out of the materia’s energy, seeming very stiff in his posture and loathing as he does so. Soon enough though, he gives into his internal conflict and his eyes flutter shut in contentment as his cravings are finally satiated once more* Damn it…
