Sephiroth: *”One was blasted apart at sea by Shinra in Junon. One was killed by Cloud’s idiots. Diamond WEAPON was blown up by the Shinra in Midgar. Cloud and his idiots killed Emerald WEAPON. Cloud and his idiots killed Ruby WEAPON. I think that accounts for the five you remember leaving this crater.”*
Kalysto: *yells at Rhyderi for intruding on his personal space, then stares at the door where he came through, focussing on Desiree* What the fuck? *despite the fact he is naked, he moves to his feet and hurls a Death Coil magic spell at her in an attempt to interrupt her* Get back there and fucking tie her down or something!
Rhyderi: *growls at Kalysto, but moves out of the water again and rushes at Desiree once more*
Desiree: *hisses in pain as she is struck by the death coil. She then snarls and releases a psychic shock wave into the area that rips at the stone that forms the level and manages to tear apart all the doors to the adjacent rooms*
Jenna: ~I didn’t mean that they were still alive..~ *Groans and shakes her head* ~I just was telling you why I believed that the area here was a breeding ground of some sorts.~ *Sighs and sits down*
Kalysto: *cringes as he hears the rock structure begin to crumble apart and backs up, looking for a means of escape* Holy shit, man… this one’s beyond me…
Rhyderi: *lunges at Desiree and attempts to tackle her to the floor* No, stop this nonsense!
Sephiroth: *”It is the place where the most energy has collected, because of the planet’s injury. And it is a vulnerable place to be protected and guarded. I can see why you would think that.”* *frowns at the lack of activity below* *”Are they dead?”*
Jenova: *still lies still in the chest the carapice of the rotting WEAPON that was killed. After a few moments, she begins to bleed the last of the energy from it, then creates a large seismic explosion around her, flinging rock high into the air and parts of decayed rotten WEAPON as she clears a hole to get out of*
Xelong: *his eyes widen and he looks up as he hears the crumbling rocks. He then chirps with panic and rushes over to Zach. Soon enough, he bites onto the boy’s arm and begins trying to pull him* ~We need to go!~
Desiree: *hisses as she is tackled. However, she doesn’t let this hold her back much at all. Instead, she tries to create another shockwave to slam Rhyderi away from her while she teleports to the stairs* Traitors. Get out of my way. *She narrows her eyes and begins forming a large rift between the physical realm and the astral realm*
Jenna: ~You would be able to answer that better than I.. However, I highly doubt that they’re dead.~ *She sighs and shakes her head*
Zach: *whimpers in panic, ignoring Xelong’s biting* Go away, go away, go away! Don’t turn me into one of your minions! I don’t want to go… I don’t…
Rhyderi: *holds on for as much as he can, grunting rather heavily as his back slams against the rock wall, creating a rather loud clattering noise, his armor taking some of the impact. Despite being disorientated, he once again tries to grab at whatever part of her he can manage* Stop this…
Kalysto: *stares at Desiree, yelping as he grabs a towel to cover himself with before running after her* Why are you doing this shit?! *bites hard into his own wrist to make it bleed. He then dips an index finger into the bleeding injury and begins to hastily scrawl demonic runes on the wall in an attempt to nullify the rift from forming*
Xelong: *Continues trying to pull at Zach’s arm* ~Zach! Wake up! We need to leave!~ *flaps his small wings* ~Don’t want to be squashed..~
Desiree: *snarls as she spots Rhyderi coming toward her again* You will not keep mother and I away from the promised land. *She then forms several shadow flares and places them around the room, trying to keep anyone from getting to her. With that, she leaps through the rift that she had created, wanting to use that to travel up north unhindered*
*the rift that Desiree had formed is quite large, so it will not be easy to seal with any form of speed. While it is open, it sparks and shutters, since it is unstable. The activity from the rift’s energies also serve to weaken the structure of the rocks even more*
Rhyderi: *watches Desiree slip through the unstable rift, sighing and lowering his head* Well that’s the end of that… *looks rather dissapointed, then glances around the room to assess the level of damage* These people aren’t going to be happy when they return.
Kalysto: *growls at Rhyderi* Why the hell didn’t you knock her out?? *shakes off his wrist and tries to jump through into the rift while it is still open*
Zach: *whimpers, but finally allows Xelong to tug him along*
*The rift continues to spark and tear apart at the structuring of the base while it is open. By the time the rift fully closes, the base is literally beginning to fall in on itself*
Xelong: *yelps in panic as a rock nearly falls on top of him. So, he tugs even harder on Zach in order to get him to safety as soon as possible*
Dimitri: *groans as he finally begins to recover from Desiree’s blast. As he realizes what’s going on, he screams in panic and rushes to his room in order to drag his sister to safety* ~Father!!~
Desiree: *just rushes through the astral plane to get to Jenova. Any creatures that get in her way are nearly immediately flung out of her path with psychic blasts*
Rhyderi: Idiot… *grumbles to himself, then cringes at the rock structure above* Alright, everybody, get out! Up the stairs, outside, move it! Move, move, move! I don’t care how badly disorientated you all are – if we don’t get out of here, we’re all going to be crushed!
Zulmire: Oh shieet… *had been occupying himself in Iris’s room, entertaining the baby girl by allowing her to pull at his fur. He morphs himself back into his natural form and picks her up, then goes looking for some of the others* C’mon mon! We godda geh outta heer!
Zach: *whimpers as the rock falls on Xelong. He quickly pushes it off and picks up the dragon, seeming to have some of his senses restored by his companion being injured. The chatter coming from the other room also serves as a wake-up-call, and Zach quickly heads for the stairs, looking around for his other siblings so he can grab them and get them out faster*
Dimitri: *grunts as he continues to pull his sister up the stairs. He whimpers and shakes his head as he reaches the half-way point* ~Father! Can you hear me? We in big, big trouble. Home is falling apart…~
Xelong: *grips onto Zack as he picks hin up. Releasing a small whine, he looks to Cancer’s room* ~Cancer. You need to leave too..~ *he then focuses on Rhyderi* ~Need to find others.~ *he then sends an impression of St. Sephy’s and Milena’s locations*
Zach: *Continues to carry Xelong out, soon heading outside altogether* I don’t know why we’re coming out here… it’s even worse outside than it was in there, you know.
Cancer: *seems relatively unaffected by Jenova’s calling and is a little annoyed at Xelong’s request. Still, she rolls her eyes and quickly moves after the half-dragonling infant and St Sephiroth, not wanting them to be crushed inside of the base*
Sephiroth: *”What…?”* *loudly hisses, gritting his teeth as he glances at Jenna* *”We have huge trouble at home. According to Dimitri, ‘home’ is falling apart.”*
Jenna: *blinks and stands up, turning around to stare at Sephiroth* “Falling apart”…? *frowns, trying to wrap her mind over what he’s trying to tell her* You mean there’s some sort of argument going on amongst the children..?
Dimitri: *finally drags his Seres outside then pulls her over to a tree and tries to convince her to just sit down. He then whimpers as he looks back toward the base’s entrance* Why…?
Sephiroth: *”All I’ve heard is what I’ve told you…”* *sighs and shakes his head, contacting Dimitri again* *”What do you mean by falling apart, son? Is there an argument going on? Did something happen? Elaborate.”*
Zach: *sets Xelong on the grass near his other siblings, shaking his head* Why? I don’t know.. I don’t know why Desiree would do something like this to us. *whimpers*
Cancer: *comes out of the base a short time later, carrying Milena in one hand, shoving St Sephiroth with the other* God the things I do for you lot…
Dimitri: *pats the top of Seres’s head* Rest, sister… *whimpers and looks up at the sky. He then closes his eyes* ~No, not that, Father. It-~ *yelps as he hears a crunch as part of the mountain where the base was build in litterally falls in on itself. He then sends an impression of his memories of the last few minutes to Sephiroth*
Xelong: *remains extremely close to Zach as he is set on the ground. He then looks up at Cancer* ~You do it because you care.~ *he bobs his head* ~Thank you.~
Sephiroth: *visibly stiffens as he receives Dimitri’s telepathic signal impressions* I… *pauses* He was right… *scowls and shakes his head* We need to fall back. The cliff-side that your base resides in has caved in. *backs away from the crater, then turns around, flying back south*
Cancer: *sighs, rolling her eyes* Well everyone at least seems to be out of there… *glances around* Where the fuck is Desiree?
Jenna: *her eyes widen at Sephiroth’s statement* It- *she furiously shakes her head* It what?? *she then frowns before quickly chasing after Seph. As soon as she’s near enough, she casts a teleportation spell to bring them above Halcyon. However, as they reappear and she spots the destroyed mountainside, she forgets to continue flapping her wings and begins to fall out of the sky*
Dimitri: *lowers his head and whimpers* Desiree attacked us..
Sephiroth: *once teleported over the cliff, he stops to get a better look himself. He is so stunned by the scene, he does not immediately see Jenna’s descent. Grunting sharply upon seeing her fall, he sharply grabs out at her with his psychic abilities, and she may feel a sharp jolt as she is stopped in midair*
Cancer: What!?
Rhyderi: *pushes aside the rock, climbing out of the wreckage, seeming quite worse for wear* Damn it…
Jenna: *releases a faint hiss as Seph’s psychic powers catch her fall. She glances up at him before muttering* Thanks… *shaking her head, she flaps her wings to move out of his “grasp” before gliding toward what remains of the base*
Dimitri: *cringes at Cancer’s tone* She attacked us.. She really, really sick..
Sephiroth: *lowers himself downward, landing gently and very gracefully. Once on the ground, he follows Jenna in surveying the wreckage closer* *”Everything we had was in there. Where are we going to go now?”* *frowns*
Cancer: Huh, yeah. No shit. *glares at the rubble* *”Hey Desiree, you suck!”*
Jenna: *shifts back into her natural form as she lands. She then silently moves toward where the entrance used to be and reaches out to touch the rubble. Not responding to Seph at all, she simply lowers her head then mutters* Now it’s all gone… Nothing left at all..
Dimitri: *looks up as Jenna and Sephiroth land. He then rushes over to hug onto Sephiroth’s right leg* Father… *whimpers*
Sephiroth: *frowns at her and moves forward to silently rest a hand on her shoulder, not saying anything more for the time being. When Dimitri hugs his leg, he places his other hand on the boy’s head, lightly sighing*
Cancer: Well this sucks… *lowers her eyes as Iris starts screaming*
Jenna: *glances back at Seph as he sets his hand on her shoulder. She then turns around to embrace him before releasing a deep sigh* You know, you would have called yourself soft if you watched yourself do this twenty years ago.. *she forms a small grin then rests her head on his shoulder* Halcyon is officially dead now.. Both its inhabitants and its last proof of their existence is gone..
Dimitri: *his wings shutter as he continues to hug onto Sephiroth. He also releases a soft whimper due to the fear that he experienced a bit ago*
Sephiroth: *quietly sighs at her, humored by her comment, but not enough to show it. He lightly pats her back as she embraces him, turning his attention upwards to the cliff once again* Is Kerash still in there? *frowns* Where are we going to live now…
Rhyderi: *moves to his feet, dusting himself off. He groans at the multitude of scratches all over his armor, seeming more unhappy about the dents in it than the fact he has open wounds and is bleeding*
Jenna: *shakes her head* I don’t know… Don’t worry about her, though. She’s a survivor, if she wanted to survive, she would have. *she then shrugs and steps away from Seph* Check after the children… *with that, she wanders away a bit, seeming to be in deep thought*
Xelong: *looks up at Rhyderi as he sniffs the blood from the elf. He then slowly moves over to the paladin before pawing at his foot* ~You not hurt bad, right?~
Sephiroth: *frowns at her, watching her step away. He moves toward her at first, then sighs and nods, turning his attention to the other children, checking them to see if everybody is accounted for* Everybody is here except for Desiree. *scowls* Why am I not surprised.
*meanwhile, Jenova begins to burrow into the rubble, heading for the Lifestream*
