Notes from the stream last night

Well, I survived and didn’t faint or anything while doing my first ever live stream. I know my voice sucks and I’m not the greatest personality, but I think I did ok… minus the hour in which my voice wasn’t broadcasting due to an attempt to fix one technical glitch which caused another.

I am aware that there were lag issues throughout the stream, so I’m doing further research into my set-up in order to help improve on the recording. With luck, it’ll all sort out soon enough.

Also, I believe I said that I would stream every-other week. Well, I realized that in two weeks is EVO, so I may not be around to stream during that time. I’ll try to do a make-up stream on the 4th of July or something. I’ll figure it out.

To anyone reading this who watched the stream last night, thanks and sorry for the glitches. My first go through and I’m working out the bugs.

Seferia will be livestreaming tonight

For a while now, Seferia has been hosting an event called Freedom Fridays via Capcom Unity. Basically, every Friday, the Monster Hunters of the PSN community come together on Ad-Hoc to play either P3rd or Freedom Unite, based on which week it is.

Well, for this week, we will be playing Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. Unlike other weeks where Seferia just played, this time, Seferia has the equipment to livestream the events as they occur. So, prepare to laugh at the Rule of Seferia as you witness it for yourself.

Seferia will not be arriving until around 5 pm PST and will stream until she drops dead and calls it a night. So, we’ll see how this goes.

Reveal #2 as to the revival of the blog

Hope that you enjoyed the music. Now, to reveal I stated that the blog will actually be revived. This week, I decided to finally take the plunge and enter the world of video capture cards. So, I went and bought this little beauty, the Hauppauge HD-PVR Gaming Edition.

So far, I’m only in the testing phase, however, there are streams planned for the future. Until then, enjoy these views of tests that I’ve done.

The revival of the blog.

It has been quite some time since I have utilized this blog, no? Well, a movement is coming, and that movement will likely have me blogging much more than before. That movement will be revealed in a bit. However, first, some music.

Enjoy the sounds of Video Games Live, a concert I attended while I was at E3.

Enter Darth Seferia!

Well, this past week, SWTOR finally launched and I embraced it with arms wide open.  This game is turning out to be exactly what I had hoped for, a wonderful adventure for me to embrace my Dark Side and become a Sith.  Yep, yep.

A Jedi Padawan has already fallen under the might of my light saber.  For, I am an evil Sith Inquisitor and have no qualms about being such.  For now, I plan to DPS, so I’m going to abuse this to get some notes for what I plan and plot.  Mmm-hmm.

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=778 – very important that I never forget this.

Also, I should most certainly hold onto this:

Not having a good week.

Well, things started off good this week. I’ve been using Dance Central 2 to do cardio workouts at home, which has been quite enjoyable. I was overall having a good time settling into my new modding position at Capcom. I laughed at many jokes from both my fellow co-workers and moderators. Then, things went downhill fast.

I sadly have lost my wallet and doubt I’ll ever see it again. It had all my credit cards and my driver’s license. It also had my health insurance card. I’m certain that I will never see that wallet again…

So, on Tuesday, I spent a good part of the evening calling my various financial services to tell them that my cards were lost and possibly stolen. Luckily, nothing erroneous had been charged on them. However, I currently can’t buy anything..

Then, I came into work late yesterday since I wanted to stop by the DMV and get a replacement driver’s license. At least the wait was quick. I was in and out within an hour. However, it was still a pain that I had to do that at all.

Oh well, on the upside, I spent last night watching the Big Lewboski with Chump on Netflix Xbox Live party. It was quite an enjoyable experience.

Seferia should use this more often, but perhaps the Kat Aclysm should be using this space, period! The elusive orange kitty generally doesn’t have a whole lot to blog about on a day-to-day basis other than the usual suspects (omg I ran outta milk this morning, baww), but I thought why not update this with something useful? Wewt.

I have always liked Capcom as a games/software company. While not so much a fan of the franchises like the Street Fighter series (I was a Mortal Kombat kid growing up), or even the Megaman stuff, I did love me some Devil May Cry (even though DMC2 sucked). In early 2009 when the ‘Objection’ meme was popular amongst the troglodytes of THAT BBS (you know the one), I decided to buy the first Ace Attorney/Phoenix Wright game for fun, to check out what all the fuss was about. I did get my ‘Objection’ fix, but after that lay behind it a wonderfully engaging crazy puzzle-game full of hilarious lawyers, crack-story cases and extremely witty puns. I was hooked. In the same month I nabbed Ace Attorney: Justice For All and later that year I imported Gyakuten Saiban 3 from Japan.
With knowledge of the fact that Capcom give their franchises a lot of love, I waited for a Phoenix Wright anime to be produced. Street Fighter got many anime series produced, as well as movies. Megaman has also had a number of anime-productions over the years. Heck, Devil May Cry has a mini-series too. It was only a matter of time before Phoenix Wright had his day.

Still waiting, but this is almost as good:

Go see it! The movie has a 2012 release, but it will see some Western localisation no doubt. Only a matter of time!

It is definitely getting cold out there.

I swear, I really should use this more often.  It’s sometimes fun to ramble on around here.  I know no one reads this, but it’s still fun to babble around like an idiot and just babble.

Anyway, November has definitely brought in the cold around these parts.  I definitely think that I’ll bring a coat with me to work tomorrow.  I’m thinking one of my nice and comfy lamb skin leather coats.  So nice and soft.

Meanwhile, I’ve recently become a blue at Capcom’s official forums.  So, yay, I think I’m certifiably insane!  However, I love my Monster Hunter crew, so I don’t mind spending time to help out the site.
