  • Kalysto sulked, still not fond of the idea that he would be doing work for free. He finally got to his feet and made a vague huffy sound. “I suppose I have no choice in this… I’ll consider it a trade, then. Your junk for my equipment.” He rubbed the back of his head and picked up some gardening tools. “It doesn’t pay the bills though… that…[Read more]

  • “Wait, what…?” Kalysto narrowed his eyes. “How the hell am I supposed to earn a living for my family if I’m on-board that thing making free plants for you?” His ears flickered and he scowled, becoming quite angry as he came to the realization of what she was requesting of him. “How the hell am I supposed to do anything else!?”

  • Kalysto rubbed a hand through his bangs, his fel-tainted eyes staring up at the woman as if she were insane. “Fine, so you’re not a junkie. So what? How the hell am I supposed to grow a year’s worth of Dipsacus pilosus for you as soon as possible? I don’t have any mass-growth hormones, heating lamps, or anything.” He shrugged. “I can’t kill myself…[Read more]

  • Kalysto made some pathetic sputtering sounds as he hit the ground. He lay there for a brief period, ears only twitching occaisonally. However, he began to recover. After a few moments, he was sitting up, head in hands, beginning the process of returning to his feet.

“What was that for…? Goddamn, woman. This is the same attitude that the junkies…[Read more]

  • “I dare…. to mock anything that…” Kalysto sputtered out the words with considerable effort. He struggled against nothing around him, and as he began to panic, his heart-rate and breathing increased. His struggle continued for only another brief moment before the elf passed-out cold.

  • Kalysto shook his head. “The only thing we have to grow plants at maximum health and efficiency is big piles of bull shit.” He grinned. “We use it as fertiliser. Would you like some bull shit? We have lots of that. Or did you have enough to be going on with?”

The elf began to chuckle in amusement.

  • Kalysto raised both brows in response. A low impressed sound escaped his throat, and then his entire body stiffened.

“You want ten kilograms of that stuff?” The elf snorted. “That’s an entire year’s harvest… you’re going to be waiting an awfully long time. I hope you’ve got a lot of time and patience on your hands.”

  • Kalysto frowned at the other’s words, not entirely sure what to do about them. After a few moments of silence, he simply shrugged.

“Yeah, probably,” He nodded. “After doing this so long, one plant is as good as any other plant, and then their origins don’t matter as long as they can do the job they’re intended for.” He spent more time watching…[Read more]

  • Edgeworth frowned heavily at the commentary and just waved his arm as if to dismiss the younger adult. “Goodbye. Have your fun. I will see you later.”

Kalysto flicked an ear in amusement. “A Twilight Dragon said that to me once. That was before I killed her.” A slow predatory grin grew across his mouth and a soft humored laugh escaped him.

    “I…[Read more]

  • “I see.” Edgeworth’s eyes were narrowed slightly, but he didn’t press the issue very much further. “Be back here at a reasonable hour. Compromising study with a late night is hardly professional, after-all.”

“Hey. Heyyyy.” The tone of voice was grumpy, even slightly frustrated. “What are you doing?” Kalysto was in the back part of the…[Read more]

  • “Other… plans…?” Edgeworth raised both eyebrows in inquisition. He had been taken by surprise – Dimitri never had plans. The boy didn’t have much of a social life ither, at least to his knowledge. “Tell me more,” He quickly countered, before the silent pause became too long. “What do you have planned this evening?”

    Holly sighed as she…[Read more]

  • Holly sighed and resumed tidying behind the desk. “I just told you that the boss isn’t here. But if you need my help, ask for it. Until then, look around and enjoy yourself.” She picked up a broom and began sweeping.

“Good.” Edgeworth frowned heavily. “So what are you waiting for? Go get your notebook computer and do some research. I really…[Read more]

  • At that current moment in time, Holly was managing the shop-front. She was used to seeing all-manner of strange people come into the Potion and Alchemic Supplies shop by now, and so when the cloaked figure stepped inside, she didn’t even bat an eyelid.

“If you need any help,” She said with a friendly grin on her face, “Please ask me! The boss…[Read more]

  • Edgeworth lowered his head slightly and sighed. “You need a practical car that will accommodate your wings and your lifestyle – in your situation, you would want a convertible, and something reasonably small to suit the fact that you are only transporting yourself and some minor work-material.”

“You also cannot get something too powerful in the…[Read more]

  • Edgeworth sighed. “He isn’t mistaken, he has the evidence on his leg to support his claim. It just doesn’t hold water when it comes to the accused…” The Prosecuting Attorney shook his head in slight irritation and waved a hand as if to dismiss the conversation entirely.

“We’re getting off the subject.” His tone became stiff once more. “Your…[Read more]

  • Edgeworth released a heavy tired sigh. “Other than the evidence on the elf’s body that support his claims, no other witnesses were present. If this is indeed truth, we can’t prove it right now – the doctor who performed the non-consented surgery hid his tracks and evidence very well.”

He reached up to rub a hand through his hair, almost seeming…[Read more]

  • “You’re looking for something you can comfortably fit in – I would hope that comfort should be one of your highest priorities.” Edgeworth grumbled. “I will take you to an upmarket luxury car yard within the next few days. We may even have to import something. We will find something suitable.”

“As for the elf’s assault claims… we haven’t found…[Read more]

  • Miles gave the other a slight nod before inclining his head slightly, as if turning his nose up at the conversation. “I am not going to teach you how to drive, you are to have lessons under a proper driving-instructor. But… you are going to learn how to drive, one way or another. Your job will eventually require you to do so. That is a…[Read more]

  • “If you are going to learn how to drive a car, you are going to need one after you pass.” Edgeworth’s stern expression returned. “And you are going to pass – nobody in my department, or under my care has ever failed.”

“Furthermore,” He unfolded his arms and raised a hand, extending his left index finger while he spoke, “You will feel more…[Read more]

  • Edgeworth idly drummed the index fingers of his right hand on his upper left arm, both of them still folded. While not a habit of his as such, he seemed to do it quite often when he was thinking. “Yes,” He stated calmly, “Driving lessons. Unless you wish to live on the college property and I highly doubt that you are interested in that. Am I…[Read more]
