Seferia: *Is not nearly as fast as she once was, but she is still able to soar quickly enough so that she lands, or rather stumbles, onto the ground within ten minutes of Rizon’s landing. She then lowers herself to the ground and heaves in exhaustion* ~Rizon, do not disobey orders like that again.~
Rizon: *rears his head back to make an S shape with his neck, showing off the shinier scales along his spinal ridge to the older female in front of him* *”Stuff that. If you knew what happened, you would have done the same thing. Sephiroth used me as a battering ram.”*
Seferia: ~I gave him the insturctions to do that, so yes, I know what he did. If you had not lost your cool-~ *she slowly pushes herself to her feet and tries to tower over Rizon* ~-no manipulation at all would have been required.~ *she then turns toward Sephiroth before lowering her snout to gently press it against him*
Sephiroth: *glares at Seferia when she presses her snout against him* Don’t ever do that again!
Rizon: *raises his head, flaring out his wings, though he’s physically smaller and it doesn’t do much good* *”I made the proper call under the circumstances! I did what had to be done! And I’m to be punished for it? Are you seriously going to do that?”*
Seferia: *gives Sephiroth a short gentle lick before softly rumbling at him* ~I cannot make any promises. However, I shall strive to never be in that scenario again.~ *She then narrows her eyes as she returns her attention to Rizon* ~You acted rashly and did not follow orders. So, yes, you are going to be punished. Now, let’s move out. We need to return home as soon as possible.~ *with that, she lowers herself in order to offer a mount to Sephiroth*
Sephiroth: *moves to climb onto Seferia, positioning himself before her shoulder blades so as not to obstruct her wings. He grips onto her nearest back spine, then pats her, indicating he is ready to go*
Rizon: *growls in a deep rumble, lowering his head* *”If I’m going to be punished, I don’t want to go home. I want to find the rest of my kind. I want to know where my brothers and sisters are. I’m tired of being isolated.”*
Seferia: ~You have made such statements before, and I will give you the same response each time. The rest of your brood were killed. We have looked for them, and never once found them.~ *she narrows her eyes at Rizon* ~You will threaten both the camp as well as yourself if you leave on such foolishness. Now, let’s go.~ *she begins walking toward the base, though every other step is slightly lop-sided* ~If it pleases you, your punishment will not be that stringent. You will only do a few menial tasks, that’s it.~
Rizon: *begins to flay his head in anger, but it is mostly a display of masculinity, making his irridescent scales gleam in the light, showing off to her* *”I don’t want to be the only dragon here! I came from a clutch. I want to find it… anyone like me… this decision isolates me. I’m depressed. I’m tired of taking on a fake identity and pretending to be something else. I’m a dragon… let me BE one!”*
Seferia: *hisses at Rizon* ~You know full well that there are other dragons in the camp. A few of the elders as well as scattered survivors have joined our cause. You are not the only one. However, as for your clutch, you are clearly the only one to have survived it. That isn’t too uncommon.~ *shakes her head* ~Settle down. Leaving would only mean that you’ll miss the chance to become the boyfriend of the feline princess, who, might I add, probably needs your support now. She just lost a friend.~
Rizon: *sways his head aggressively, then morphs down into his feline form, his claws still bared in his anger* *”Boyfriend of the feline princess!?”* *makes a loud sound of mockery* *”Don’t make me laugh! She barely tolerates me! She doesn’t like me at all.”* *shakes his head as he moves back into the underground base, his whiskers twitching, annoyed* *”I have to go find the others… I know they’re out there.”*
Seferia: ~Oh, I don’t think that I’m that far off at all. If she didn’t favor you, you wouldn’t have had her attention at all.~ *she then stops as she reaches the entrance to the caves. She then lowers herself so that Sephiroth can climb off her if he wishes* ~We will need to leave soon.~
Rizon: *”We need to leave? Whatever for?”* *pauses, thinking* *”So because of the shit that happened at the cave, the Nemesis is goiing to come here?”* *growls* We should stand and fight! Have you never heard the story of the Wanderer and the Bear? Every night, the Wanderer would make a new makeshift house to sleep in, and leave the next day and walk to get ahead of the bear. Eventually, the bear caught up and overpowered him, killing the Wanderer. Now, if the Wanderer had built a stronghold and anticipated the arrival of the bear, he would have been able to overcome him. *growls* In short, don’t fucking run away if you can stand and fight it!
Sephiroth: I’ll go inform the others….
Seferia: As sound as your words are, youth, we simply can’t. *Shakes her head* We barely got out of that cave alive. *moves over to Rizon before staring into his eyes* If we stood and fight, we would last a few hours, maybe a day, but we simply don’t have the strength to hold out much longer. Certainly you must see that.
Rizon: Where the hell are we going to go then!? *shakes his head, then growls as he walks inside to begin gathering whatever supplies he can, throwing them into subspace* Damn it, damn it, damn it! *snarls* *”Princess? Do you know we have to leave? Can you override the command?”*
Sekhmet: *twitches her ears as she hears Rizon’s complaint. However, she has no psychic abilities at all, so he gets no immediate response. Instead, after some time, the feline princess walks up to Rizon before frowning at him* You know I can’t talk back to you when you do that. *shakes her head then snorts* We are leaving?
Rizon: The Nemesis is temporarily held up in a cave in… but Seferia is saying that she will be here any moment now. *hisses* We need to get out. But if you think we can stand and fight, by all means, go over there and override Seferia’s command. If you can pull rank like that…
Sekhmet: Yes, I am aware of that much. *she then frowns and lowers her head* Rizon… I saw the power that Nemesis wields as well as you do. I do not think there will be much honor in standing our ground. *her ears flatten down as she ponders over the situation* Hope was an idiot…
Rizon: *growls* She was a traitor. *turns his head away to spit on the ground, growling* What are we going to do? Shall we really just retreat then? It wasn’t something I was looking forwards to, but…. *grumbles* Very well. *bows gracefully* By your orders, my Queen.
Sekhmet: I am no queen yet. *shakes her head* I am certain that Seferia has prepared other destinations for us to establish ourselves in. We shall see when we leave. *she then stands up and begins gathering up her possessions* We were all fools..
Rizon: Don’t you see…? *growls louder* She doesn’t – that’s the thing I’m protesting over! She just wants to move from one spot to another. We’re going to just pack up and leave, and re-form a base somewhere else. If we honestly stood our ground, fortified our defenses and fought, I think we could win. *makes a loud huffy noise, turning his head off to one side, glaring* I best be quiet before I am accused of insubordination…
Sekhmet: *shakes her head* I cannot say that I have that much faith in our chances, Rizon. *flattens her ears as she thinks over it* No, we wouldn’t win as we are now. Maybe sometime, but not today. *she then glances back at Rizon* I am not going to call you insubordinate concerning your opinions today.
Rizon: *lowers his head again, this time as a mark of respect and rank* Thank you, my Queen. *formally bows to her, before rising again* So, if you don’t think we will win as we are now… we move. That’s all there is to it… *sighs miserably* Just tell me what to pick up and carry for you, my lady. Tell the others we’re leaving… that’s all we can do if you made it so.
Sekhmet: *grumbles under her breath* I am not a queen yet. *shakes her head then moves forward to pat Rizon’s shoulder* Do not worry about my needs for now, dragon. Get your things together. That’s what you need to concentrate on.. my friend. *she then turns around to leave*
Rizon: *lowers his head, looking quite sad and discontent* Understood, my Queen. *runs back to his personal area and begins to hurriedly pack, growling at the others around him* What are you waiting for?? Grab anything you can and leave! Meet up at the cave entrance. We will be directed on where to go from there… *packs up most of his stuff relatively quickly and throws it into subspace, then does the same with a few of his neighbour’s posessions* It’s times like this I’m glad I’m a dragon…
