Sephiroth: *remains dead silent as he follows her, keeping as close as possible. He pays close attention and makes a mental note of where she is going in case he ever needs to take this escape route again*
Jenna: *hisses and quickly stops as she spots a few guards up ahead. She quickly pulls Seph into a room to the side and scowls* Lovely, we need to find another way. *blinks and looks up as she notices a sign that says “stairs”* Come on, boy. We’re getting out of here. *She quickly pulls him into the stairwell*
Sephiroth: *yelps slightly as he is pulled into the stairs, frowning at them as he sees them* How many more floors are there? I would hate to run down twenty or thirty flights of stairs… both of us will be really tired by the end… *frowns* No wonder I’ve never been able to escape properly. It looks so hard.
Jenna: To say the least, there are a lot of stairs. I have the stamina to run down all of these. If you feel tired, just tell me. *begins dashing down the stairs, pulling Seph along with her* Come, we don’t want guards rushing at us.
Sephiroth: *runs after her as best as he can manage, sometimes leaping down a few steps at once. He soon stumbles over, falling forward onto his hands and chest, loudly whimpering in pain*
Jenna: *yelps as she sees Seph stumbling over and quickly moves to grip onto him so he doesn’t tumble down the stairs* Ok, maybe you’re not ready for this sort of exercise.. *grunts then picks him up* You’re a lot heavier than you look… *frowns but shakes her head and continues heading down the stairs*
Sephiroth: *holds onto her, frowning* My chest hurts now… I really don’t like stairs…. *closes his eyes and clings onto her* I just want to get out of here. Do you have much further to go?
Jenna: There will be pleanty of time for questions later, boy. For now, just be quiet while I get us out of here. *pants slightly as she continues dashing down the stairs. If she had not been carrying the boy, she would not be tired already, but with his extra weight, she’s quickly running out of stamina* It’s just a bit further..
Sephiroth: *just holds onto Jenna as best as he can manage and watches where they are going* Are you sure? Because it seems like a really really long way still… why does there have to be so many stairs anyway?
Jenna: *hisses in annoyance* ~I didn’t build this building, boy. Ask the arcitech who built this damn thing, not me. I think it was so Shin-Ra can say he has the biggest penis ever. Is that a good enough answer for you?~ *stops for a moment to catch her breath near the 20th floor*
Sephiroth: *wiggles out of Jenna’s arms and continues running down the stairs, limping* You shouldn’t stop, because if you do at any point, they’ll catch you… and I don’t think you want that to happen at all. I sure as hell don’t… not after we got this far.
*one of the lab assistants who regularly check up on Sephiroth during the evening hours passes by his cell and frowns as he finds that Sephiroth is missing. He quickly looks around for a superior to alert. First, he rushes to Hojo’s office, checking to see if the man is working late. The assistant is unaware that Hojo is already aware of the situation*
Jenna: Yes, you’re right. *Closes her eyes and shifts into her hybrid form. She takes in a deep breath in order to compose her self then dashes after Sephy. She quickly picks him up then continues to race down the stairs*
Sephiroth: *loudly yells as he sees Jenna turn into an 8ft high hybrid dragon and immediately struggles to get out of her grip* Help!! *desperately tries to get away, shoving her hands in his attempt to escape*
Jenna: *Hisses in irritation at the boy and shakes her head* Calm down. This is only a morph. I am not a monster, I just am able to take the form of one. *Thinks for a moment* It’s like using a- *pauses for another moment as she scours her mind for the right term* -transform materia… You know about those, right?
Sephiroth: A transform materia will only change one object into another one… I didn’t see you use any materia at all. I didn’t even know you had any…
Jenna: Yes, a transformation that changes one object into another. That is exactly what I did. *frowns at his inquiry and quickly shakes her head* And no, I did not use any materia. I am a sorceress. That means that I can use magic on my own will and need no outside objects to help me focus magic. So, I can do many more things than what the rocks of this planet will allow for.
Jenna slows down as she reaches the bottom of the stairs. After gently setting the boy on the ground and returning to her true form, she inches over to the door. She creeks open the door, being careful not to make any unwanted noise and quickly checks around the area. Once she sees that the area is clear, she reaches down to grasp onto Seph’s wrist then pulls him forward* Come now, I’ll take you someplace safe.
*The lab assistant who had noticed that Seph is missing from his cell finally spots Hojo and rushes toward the man. The man pants with exhaustion as he catches up to the head scientist* Professor, the specimin.. He’s no longer in his containment cell. Did you take him out for further testing?
Sephiroth: *frowns as Jenna mentions she didn’t use materia, and that she’s a sorceress* Are you an ancient? *watches Jenna with interest as she puts him down and peeks out the door. He yelps slightly as she grabs his wrist and he quickly follows after her* Anywhere is safer than here…
Hojo: *loudly snarls and coughs, still recovering from being choked* No, you idiot!! That stupid woman took him and has stolen him! Alert security at once, do not let anybody leave the building!
*The assistant stares at Hojo for a moment* Woman? What woman? There’s a woman on the team? *frowns but quickly runs to the phone to make a call to set the building on alert*
Jenna: No, I am not an Ancient from your planet. Nor am I from your planet… I am a traveler who has spotted a boy in distress. *looks down at him and tries to give him a small smile, but it seems strained and hard to appear* I just want to give you a better life. *she continues leading Sephy away from the building and dashes for the warehouse district that she had been resting in as of late*
Sephiroth: *holds onto her hand and bounds as he does his best to keep up with her. Once they are outside, he looks around at the scenery with awe and amazment* This place looks very big from the ground… it looked like a toy from up there…
Hojo: *growls* She claimed to be sent from the President himself to oversee and monitor operations here. She lied to us!! *snarls and calls security again to yell at them*
The security officials all give Hojo the same response, that they are looking as best they can for the boy and the woman, but have seen no signs of them yet. Also, they state that the woman had an official key card and identification on her, so they did not see anything out of the ordinary about her.
The assistant hangs up his phone after speaking with the security officials then turns his attention back to Hojo. “I didn’t know that there were theives well enough to lie up to his level, sir.”
Meanwhile, another assistant comes up to Hojo and informs him that the clothing that Jenna had left behind has been identified. The items within the jacket were confirmed to be the belongings of the man who had been murdered prior to Jenna arriving in the lab.
Jenna: *finally slows down once she nears the warehouse that she had been sleeping in for the past few nights. She ushers Seph inside the building and quickly seals up the doorways* Yes, this is a rather large city. Things always seem smaller when you are up high than when you are on the ground. *pats the top of his head* You can rest here for the night. There’s a few cots that I’ve been using over there. *points to a dark corner of the room*
Sephiroth: *seems paticularly unhappy and screws his face up as they enter the warehouse* This place is dim, old, and smells. I don’t like it at all. Why would anybody want to stay here? *glances into the corner of the room where Jenna is indicating to* I don’t want to sleep over there… it doesn’t look safe. What is that funny smell anyway? *glances around warily at the packed pallets of boxed goods* I hope nothing falls over in here…
Hojo: *seems completely and utterly outraged as the lab jacket is given to him, along with the information that it belonged to the murdered lab tech* That wench lied to me the entire time! *snarls* Find her, at once! I want her put in jail for murder! Find her and hang the stupid woman!
Jenna: *Shakes her head at Sephy* We are staying here because it is safe. Not many people come to this sort of location, so there will not be anyone to spot us. Also, there is pleanty of padding around here to create beds out of. *the woman walks over to the make-shift bed that she had been using and sits down on it* See, this is quite comfortable and an effective bed.
The first assistant speaks up to Hojo, a bit nervous, “Um, sir? How do we know that this woman did not just come across his body and steal his clothing then? How do we know that he was killed by her?”
Meanwhile, the second assistant nods and moves over to the phone to relay Hojo’s request. Once done, he moves back to the security monitors so that he could examine all of the tapes from Seph’s room. His eyes widen as he spots flashes of Jenna from time to time throughout the past few nights within the boy’s cell. After compiling the videos, he rushes over to Hojo’s side once more. “Professor, I have found something that is very interesting.”
Sephiroth: *does not seem convinced at all as he stares at the bed that Jenna is sitting on* It doesn’t look like a bed. And it smells like old mold and dust in here… *glances around the area* Where’s the shower and bathroom area…? I don’t like this place. It’s dark and it’s creepy. You’ve really been staying here? Haven’t you gotten sick or anything? *seems skeptical as he sits down on the makeshift bed also, looking a little surprised as he actually finds it comfortable* How did you get the pillows?
Hojo: *is busy calling people on the phone in his office, yelling and harping orders at some of the people he calls. He is becoming angrier as the time passes, wanting the boy to be found and brought back. He loudly snarls and can barely contain his rage as the assistant rushes over to him and speaks, interrupting his talking to a security guard* What the hell do you want?! What did you find? Make it quick. This better be good. I’m busy, you stupid idiot.
Jenna: *chuckles at Seph’s reaction* There are several pillows hidden within these boxes that surround us, boy. *reaches out to pull out a few pillows from a box that she had broken open before. Then, she hands them over to Sephiroth* See.
Now, as for there being a shower and a bathroom… *Shakes her head* I’m sorry, but you won’t be finding any of those in this place. Well, there is a restroom *waves her hand to a room in the other portion of the warehouse*, over there. You can relieve yourself at the least. And, I don’t get sick all that easily, boy. *she looks up at the ceiling and thinks* Maybe tomorrow I’ll find a real hotel for you to use, ok?
The assistant gulps as he becomes the target of Hojo’s rage, but he quickly recovers and shakes his head* “Sir, I think I found something that you should see.” He holds up the tape that he had made of the compiled segments where Jenna had entered into Seph’s cell. Then, the man moves over to Hojo’s video set. After fumbling around with the tape for a moment, he pushes the tape in. “That woman has been walking through glass and walls. Also, it seems she was the one who gave the boy the alcoholic beverage and something else that I can’t identify.. Sir.”
Sephiroth: *grabs the pillow from Jenna and grins, puffing it up in his hands as he listens to her* I’m glad to hear there’s a restroom in here. I’d hate to try and find somewhere outside to, um… you know. *puffs up the pillow for a few more moments, then cheekily grins and whacks her in the arm with it*
Hojo: *snarls as he watches the compiled videotape* She can walk through walls? Find this woman. Catch her if you can. I want her alive and well when she’s returned to this lab. She obviously took the boy for a reason, more than likely because she is special too. I want to know exactly why…
