Sephiroth: *does his best to help her along* Come on, it’s not much further now! You can do it… you have to. Otherwise we go back to the lab and we’re stuck there. And then security will get even worse… they won’t let us out of the lab any more…
Noemi: I know. *pants as she finally reaches the helicopter and frowns up at the door* It’s so high… *grunts and tries to climb up then open the door. She hisses as she finds that the door is locked and that she can’t open it* No.
Sephiroth: What’s wrong? *tries to pry open the door himself and growls* No, not now!! *uses his psychic abilities to try and open the door, stopping as the door begins to buckle and make a creaking noise* Now what?! *loudly growls and kicks the helicopter*
Noemi: Maybe there’s someplace that we can hide up here…? *she nervously looks around, pursing her lips together* There has to be someplace..
Sephiroth: There.. *points to a pile of old shipment wooden crates that are in a pile and ready to be collected* We can climb in there and hope they don’t find us..
Noemi: *nods, grinning slightly* Yes, that’s a plan. *grunts and slowly slides off the helicopter. She softly whimpers at the pain in her ankle as she thumps onto the ground. Still, she limps toward the crates as quickly as she can*
Sephiroth: *grabs onto her hand and drags her along with him, crawling into one of the old wooden crates. It smells musty and it is cold inside, but Seph doesn’t whine as it is better than the prospect of going back to the lab for more treatment*
Noemi: *sneaks inside with Seph, but her foot would remain hanging outside the crates* I hope they don’t even look out here… *she sighs and carefully peers out of a crack in the crates to see what’s going on*
Sephiroth: *also peeks out the holes in the wooden crate, keeping on high alert incase anybody comes up into the area*
The area is silent for some time, but after a while, armed guards kick open the door to the roof and begin patrolling. They do not see Noemi and Sephy just yet.
Noemi: *releases a soft whimper as she looks at the weapons on the guards. So, she shuffles closer to Seph and clutches onto him* ~We’re going to be free… They won’t find us. They can’t.~
Sephiroth: *shivers slightly in fear and holds his breath so they won’t hear him* *”They won’t if we stay quiet…”* *closes his eyes and huddles up in the corner of the crate*
Noemi: *nods at Seph* ~Yes, quiet. No making sound at all…~ *continues to peer out of the cracks in the crate, not wanting to be caught unawares at all*
*An armed guard patrols past the pile of discarded wooden storage crates that Sephy and Noemi are hiding in. He briefly shines a torch in the area and stops, placing on his pair of thermal glasses* I found them, sir!! *points his plasma rifle square at the crate that Noemi and Sephy are hiding in* Come out slowly, and with your hands on your heads. Don’t do anything funny either, this weapon is loaded. *pats his rifle, which immediately charges up and goes off*
Noemi: *loudly yelps and pushes Seph down as she spots the rifle. She releases a soft scream soon afterward as the bolt of energy sears over their heads, singing several strands of her hair and melting her clothing again* ~They have real weapons… We’reintrouble.We’reintrouble.We’reintrouble.We’reintrouble…~ *whimpers and slowly crawls out of the crate*
Sephiroth: *loudly yelps as he is shoved down, cringing as the energy zings over his head. He freezes solid and shivers slightly* Go away… *remains hidden in the crate and whimpers*
*meanwhile, some other guards come over to yell at the other whose rifle went off. They surround the junked crate area, and the higher ranked one inches in towards them* We don’t want to hurt you. Come out without a fight and you’ll make this easier for everyone involved.
Noemi: *whimpers and slowly crawls out. She lowers her head and refuses to look up at them* We don’t have weapons… Please, don’t hurt us. *sniffles slightly, saddened by the fact that they can’t escape now*
*the soldier promptly moves over to Noemi, placing his hands on her shoulders* Calm down. We do not want to hurt you. We’re just going to take you back. You’re going to get sick away from your clean environment. *grunts back to one of the other soldiers behind him* Secure the male. Then we can return them and declare this operation a success.
*one of the other soldier grunts quickly move into the crate and picks out Sephy, picking him up* The male is secure. *carries him back towards the stairs*
Sephiroth: *is clearly quite frightened and is shaking, but doesn’t put up a fight*
Noemi: *Softly whimpers and limps forward, following the soldier who is taking Seph away* ~We were so close too… If only we had more time.~ *lowers her head so that her bangs are obscuring her face*
Sephiroth: *”Hojo’s going to kill me… I’m going to die. I can’t go back now, I’ll be a total goner…”* *tries to wiggle out of the soldier’s grip* *”I don’t want to be here any more…”*
*The soldier who is leading Noemi notices the way she is limping and picks her up* Damn it, the orders were that neither of the children were to be injured! Who did this to her?
Noemi: *looks up at the soldier, frightened. She chooses not to speak at all as he asks who hurt her and just lowers her head* ~We’re both dead… At least we’ll be free in the afterlife.~
*The soldiers carry both children back down the stairs, and then push the door open to walk them across the uppermost floor of the building, which acts as a storage facility for food. There are several sacks of dry ingredients on shelves as well as cans of fruit. The soldiers carry the children into the elevator, and back down to the laboratory level, depositing them on the table just inside.*
Hojo: *moves out of his office and snarls at them* Do you brats have any idea of the anguish you have caused me!?
Noemi: *keeps her head lowered, just softly sniffling at the thought of being captured again* ~I just want him to get it over with and kill us… No speaches.~
Hojo: *growls at them* Stupid ungrateful brats. We feed, clothe, care, and nuture you. And in return you give us this!? *snorts* You’re lucky it’s too late and we can’t experiment any more today. Now get the hell in your room and clean yourselves up. You’ve wasted a whole afternoon and put us behind schedule. *Snarls* Neither Kerash nor the commitee are going to be very happy.
Hojo: *growls at them* Stupid ungrateful brats. We feed, clothe, care, and nuture you. And in return you give us this!? *snorts* You’re lucky it’s too late and we can’t experiment any more today. Now get the hell in your room and clean yourselves up. You’ve wasted a whole afternoon and put us behind schedule. *Snarls* Neither Kerash nor the commitee are going to be very happy.
