Zack: *remains hidden in the hallways as he carefully watches the others entering the house, then heads into an empty room, opening the window so he can jump out, rolling onto the grass. He then sprints off to hide in nearby scrubland*
A few random birds squak as Zack moves to hide near their nest, but aside from that small group, Zack’s escape remains unnoticed. No one had known to look for him in the first place except for Teresa, so no one was keeping a watch for his movements.
Meanwhile, back in the small cottage, Maria is finally calmly sleeping. Her siblings have done their best to calm her in the past day, but she mostly rants on about a demon to them. She has also been refusing to eat.
Zack: *promptly runs away from the house and stuffs the potion safely in his pocket, running through covered tree area and plantations to avoid being seen. He heads back towards the land where Maria lives and goes looking for her in the house. He soon finds her and slips into the room, whispering to her* Hey there. Can you hear me?
Maria: *groans and slowly opens her eyes at the sound of Zack’s voice. She originally thinks that it’s one of her brothers who want to attempt feeding her again, but as soon as she spots Zack, she begins to loudly whimper* No.. Stay away.. No more strange men… *backs away from Zack, tumbling out of her small bed in the process*
Zack: *sighs and crouches down beside her* Shh, I’m not here to hurt you. *reaches into his pocket and takes out the potion* Here, drink this, it will make you feel better.
Maria: *eyes the potion then softly whimpers and shakes her head* No, I don’t want to be poisoned… Go away. *trembles a bit as if she were hit by a cold breeze. She also begins to softly cry with fear as she continues to watch Zack*
Zack: *sighs and heads out of the room, peering into the kitchen area, looking for food cooking, or anything similar that he could dose the potion with and take it back to Maria*
Teresa: *has just woken up a bit ago and looks over at where she had last seen Zack. She yawns, then stretches, having figured the human has alredy left. She strolls over to the window and grins at the beautiful scenery* ~So, is that woman that my brother raped pregnant?~
*the rest of Maria’s family has left the house for the day to take care of chores and obtain supplies from the local village. Zack is basically alone with Maria with the exception of Maria’s mother, who is currently deep asleep in her room*
Zack: *”You know, I didn’t even check that…”* *realizes there is not really anybody else around and relaxes. He sneaks back to Maria’s room and stands in the doorway, scanning her for any signs of new life.* *”I’ll be able to tell you in a second…”*
Teresa: ~Either way, I want you to take the woman and find someplace far away to hide her. She’s not safe here. My brother is more than likely going to come back for more fun with her.~ *She shakes her head* ~There is a river south of here, follow it then take a boat from port. That should get you a good distance from him. Also, don’t give that woman the potion unless she is indeed laden with child.~
Maria: *slowly lifts her head to look up at Zack. There is clear fear in her eyes as she watches him. Zack would be able to sense the slowly developing embryo inside the woman*
Zack: *”Fuck, she’s pregnant…”* *lowers his head* *”I agreed to giving her the potion, now you want me to steal her from the house!? How am I supposed to do that??”*
Teresa: ~Well, you can just leave her there and have her be my brother’s plaything until he decides to kill her. It’s your choice. But if you leave her, her life will be on your hands.~
Zack: *”Thanks for that. I really wanted to hear it.”* *scowls and opens his subspace pocket to take out his box of medical supplies, ratting through it for a few moments before finding half a dose of tranquilizer* Damn it… *prepares a syringe and loads it up anyway, then makes his way across to Maria, speaking to her in a very soft and calm voice* I’m going to get you to safety… don’t fuss now. *attempts to inject her in the arm with the syringe*
Maria: *loudly yelps as she’s injected with the tranquilizer* What are you doing to me..? *she tries to stand up so she can get away from Zack, but stumbles over due to the tranquilizers which are taking effect*
Zack: Shhh. *quickly packs up his equipment, placing the potion in his box of supplies as well. Then he sends it all back to his subspace pocket and snatches up Maria, quickly carrying her out of the room* Don’t make a sound. You’ll be safe soon…
Maria: *whimpers but winds up leaning agianst Zack because she doesn’t have the stregnth to walk on her own* Where are we going…? You’re not taking me to him, are you? *tears begin to stream down her face*
Zack: *firmly shakes his head* Never. We go far far away from him. I’m going to take you where he can never get you again. Now be quiet, OK? I need to get you out of her safely… *”I got her.”* *carries Maria out of the house and promptly crouches low as he heads through the corn field, heading south towards the river that Teresa spoke of*
Teresa: ~Good, safe travels, human. I hope you find someplace safe to hide. Either way, I hope this is the last time that we are near enough to speak. Good bye.~
Maria: *softly whimpers* Far away…? What about my family?
Zack: The male knows where you live. It’s not safe there. We can go back and see them when it’s safe, OK? *continues carrying Maria, running through open farmland pasture country. He levitates up off the ground by less than a foot and continues moving his legs to give the impression that he is running. With this mode of flying, he is able to greatly increase his speed and keeps moving south*
Maria: *continues to cry, but slowly falls asleep as the traquilizers tire her out. She becomes limp in Zack’s hands and closes her eyes. However, even though she has fallen asleep, tears continue to fall from her eyes. She also continues to make faint moaning sounds as if she is tormented in her rest*
Zack: *frowns at her, feeling bad that he has to put this woman through such torment. He keeps travelling south to the river, then glances around for a spare boat to steal. He finds an unmanned fishing dinghy and flies up into it, placing Maria down in the undercover area. He then unhooks the boat and uses his psychic energies to get it quickly moving away from the port*
Maria: *remains asleep for the majority of the day. However, as nighttime starts to arrive, she begins to shift about then groans. She slowly sits upright and stares at her surrounding in fear* Where am I… Momma? *frowns even more as she realizes that she’s no longer in her house and curls up*
Zack: *has since sailed the boat many miles away from the dock and sits down on the edge of the boat, just glancing up at the sky. He uses some of the available fishing equipment onboard to catch edible freshwater fish throughout the course of the day. He guts them and hangs them up to bleed out, remaining on the upper deck until the nightime shifts in. He frowns as he hears Maria calling out, and goes below deck to move to her side* Shh, you can go back to her soon. *reaches out to very gently pat Maria on the shoulder, not wanting to frighten her*
Maria: *Stares up at Zack with wide, frightful eyes* Why did you take me away? How long do I need to be away? *whimpers* Do you promise to let me see my family again?
