Jenna: *deeply frowns at the way that Sephiroth stumbled, not believing that now is a brilliant time for him to be using his psychic ability* Perhaps, you shouldn’t be doing that, Seph… You’re likely not to be able to sustain flight after all of that. At least not for an hour or so. *shakes her head*
Yuffie: *pouts toward Cid* Why didn’t you tell her she was wrong? You aren’t taking her side, are you?
Sephiroth: *grunts* Nonsense, I’ll be fine… *descends once again, scowling. He quickly shakes his head, then begins to walk towards the town’s exit* Feh I’ll walk there then…
Cid: I don’t agree with that crazy shit any more than you do. But if you lot can’t make up your minds about where you’re headed, then what’s the point of me hauling my baby around anywhere? Don’t ya’ know how much gas that wastes? Gas doesn’t come cheap ya know!
Jenna: *Slowly shakes her head at Sephy then sighs. She takes a few steps toward him then suddenly shifts into her hybrid form and lifts him up into her arms* Which one of the objectives did you want to go to? Junon probably has more of a chance of having intact uniforms for you, but Midgar will be easier to sneak into. So, what’s your choice. *flexes her wings then leaps into the air*
Yuffie: I don’t care if you don’t fly anywhere. I don’t know how you can stand all the rocking and shaking. But Aeris should be told that she’s making a big mistake! Hmph.. *turns around then leaves to head into her room*
Sephiroth: *grunts as he’s picked up, not at all fond of the prospect that he needs help in any way* Feh, Midgar it is then I suppose… *holds onto her paw, scowling as he looks down* You turning into a creature like that is not going to make people around us very happy. Do not make a habit of it…
Cid: Fine, I’ll land my baby near Gongaga and we can discuss a proper strategy later, huh? *stubs out his cigarette on the control panel, then hard steers the plane left, turning it to point towards Gongaga, the force of the turn more than likely throwing his crew around quite a bit*
Jenna: *Snorts at Sephiroth’s statement* And we care what humans think of us, hm? *snorts* I will do what I please when I please, and I’m certain you’d share the same opinion. *spreads open her wings as she gains height then begins to fly toward Midgar* Anyway, we were not in the middle of the town, only a few people would have seen us from the outskirts there. *looks down at him* Now, go ahead and rest. It’ll help you heal.
Yuffie: *passes by Aeris’s room as she storms back to hers. As she enters her quarters, she slams the door shut then flops down on her bed* Stupid Aeris… Why do you have to not believe me like that. Anyone in Wutai could tell you how evil Sephiroth is..
Sephiroth: It’s kind of hard to rest when there’s a giant amount of breeze blowing in my face. *pulls the front of his yukata closed and shivers a bit, muttering* This clothing offers no warmth at all…
Aeris: *hears the door slam next door and sighs. She remains in her room however, not willing to approach Yuffie again just yet*
Jenna: *softly chuckles at Sephiroth* Well, the clothing that you picked are intended to keep someone cool during the summertime, Seph. So, naturally, it would not retain heat all that well. *tightens her grip on him and pulls him in closer to her body, which is actually quite warm for a scaled being* There, that should help you stay warm.
Vincent: *looks up from the corner of the control room that he was standing in. He makes a small hmphing sound that is likely not to be noticed by the others. Then, he pushes himself off the wall and strolls to Aeris’s room. As soon as he arrive at her quaters, he stares at her door for a few moments before softly knocking*
Aeris: *looks up at the doorway and sighs* What is it? Come in if you want… *pulls at the edges of her bedclothes*
Sephiroth: Yes, I am finding that it doesn’t retain any heat. I might as well be wearing nothing – it would acheive the same thing. *frowns, not sure whether or not he is liking the fact that he is so close to her. He closes his eyes and tries to rest, which is quite hard for him to do in his current situation, so he just stays where he is for the time being and tries to put up with it*
Vincent: *strolls into the room, less than concerned that Aeris is in her nightgown and grunts at her* Hello. I overheard your argument with Yuffie. *there isn’t much emotion in his voice, so it’d be hard to determine whether he is here to support her or scold her*
Jenna: *keeps Sephiroth pressed up against her as she continues fly. Finally, she pulls her wings in close to her body so that she’d swoop down and lose altitude. Within a few minutes after she starts her decent, she flares open her wings in order to slow her drop then lands on a pile of rubble that was once part of the upper plate near the ShinRa building. Once confident that she has a stable footing, she lowers herself and lets go of Sephiroth* There, we are here.
Aeris: Oh you did…? I’d be surprised if anybody didn’t hear it… *lowers her head and sighs* What do you want to talk about?
Sephiroth: *grunts a bit and opens his eyes, moving out of her grip so he can stand upright again. He glances into the mauled city and raises an eyebrow* Great. How are we supposed to navigate our way in there?
Vincent: *allows himself a small frown* I think that it is quite noble that you are trying to bring out the good in Sephiroth, but I am afraid that you are blinding yourself to danger, just as Lucrecia did. *slowly shakes his head* She believed that there was good in Hojo, and I allowed her to do as she pleased. *rises up his metalic gold claw* For that, I was punished. So, I do not want you to suffer the same fate. You should not go forward without seeing things correctly.
Jenna: *points forward* Well, that there is the ShinRa building. Where was your quarters. It appears that this building is mostly in tack. *points up* And if it was inside the actual building, we can enter through the hole on the top floors.
Sephiroth: *slowly moves into the rubble, scowling at the overall appearance of the place* Hrmph, this place well and truly got trashed, didn’t it… if it wasn’t for the colour of the steel, I’d say I wouldn’t recognise this place. *snorts and heads through the rubble, heading for the location of the fallen ShinRa Building*
Aeris: Nobody understands… *lowers her head* I’ve explained it before, why do I have to keep on explaining it? Sephy never had a chance to be anything else. The point of bringing him back was to prove to everybody, including himself, that he was capable of doing more than just harming everybody. That’s why his powers were taken away, that’s why he was with us. But my plans keep getting messed up for some reason… *slowly shakes her head*
Jenna: *indifferently shrugs* This is your handiwork, Seph. So, if you want to complain about it being a mess, you should place in a complaint to yourself. How exactly were you going to absorb the energy from the wound you were planning when you were all the way in the Northern Cave, by the way? I never quite figured out why you targetted this stupid city.
Vincent: *slowly shakes his head* Even Lucrecia said so herself, “my son is dead”. She said it long before we finished him off in the Northern Cave. She knew that he was long gone and that he cannot be brought back, Aeris. I do not want you chasing wild dreams that have no hope of ever becoming reality. It’ll only hurt you in the end.
Sephiroth: Midgar has a huge vein of mako energy near the surface, which would have made a puncture wound comparable to the Northern Crater. It is one of the reasons the city was built there in the first place… *grunts*
Aeris: Everybody has an opinion… *closes her eyes* So do you think we should just get rid of Sephy then…?
Jenna: That does not answer my question, Seph. I said how did you plan on going from all the way in the middle of the northern crater, several hundred meters under the ground, to here, back then. That is the part that makes no sense. You would not have made it here in time. *shakes her head* Of course, maybe Jenova herself would have had no problem rushing over here..
Vincent: *Shrugs* You are free to make your own decisions, Aeris. Still, I do not want you to repeat the mistakes of the past without hearing the consequences. You should not look at Sephiroth as if he were a small child that can be molded, like you have been doing. I want you to regain a sense of reality.
Sephiroth: I do not think that part of the plan was ever really discussed or organized. *steps on some wood fragments* Who cares now. *ducks his head under a concrete slab, then walks into the remains of the ShinRa Building* I’ve no idea where to look.
Aeris: If he dies, I die… I’ll have wasted my efforts for nothing. *lowers her head* I already made my mind up, but everybody disagrees with it and I can’t say anything otherwise.
Jenna: “I think it was never discussed”? *Snorts* That’s a silly way of putting it. Either a conversation happened or it did not. There is no “I thinks” in talkng about past actions that you did. Now, if you were talking about others, maybe then that would be an effective way of putting it.. *shrugs* As for where to start, I might suggest checking where you lived. That would be a logical step, no?
Vincent: I won’t stop you, Aeris. I just want you to be careful and not to see Sephiroth as an innocent child that can be easily dealt with. That is all. *shrug then turns to leave*
Sephiroth: *grunts and heads for what remains of the stairs. He jumps into the air, forcing himself to levitate up off the ground, heading up through the delapidated building to the level where the old laboratory was. He lands on the unstable ground and snorts, then begins to go through the junk*
Aeris: I don’t see him as that… I know what I’m trying to deal with. I just wish everybody else would leave him alone so I could do what I intended in the first place.
Jenna: *watches Sephiroth for a few moments before teleporting to his side, finding that to be much easier than maintaining a levitation spell* So, even as an adult they kept you in the lab? *cocks her eyebrow* I would have thought that you’d at least have a one room apartment of you own, Seph. *slowly shakes her head in disbelief*
Vincent: I cannot speak for everyone, Aeris, but if you are determined to continue on this path, perhaps you should travel it alone. *slowly shakes his head* None of the others will be so willing to see Sephiroth as anything other than a threat. *slips out of the room*
Sephiroth: *snorts* I was never kept here as an adult. I didn’t have an apartment in here either, there are no live-in quarters in the ShinRa Building. I do not know where you got such an idea. If I am to find any uniforms though, they will be in storage.
Aeris: *watches him leave and sighs*
Jenna: If you were never kept here, why didn’t you say anything before we got here. *shakes her head and scowls* Well, it doens’t matter anyway, let’s just go ahead and get your new clothing. Lead the way, Sephiroth. *gently nudges him forward*
Yuffie: *is in the bathroom of her room, puking due to her motion sickness. The noise would be pretty audible even in Aeris’s room*
Sephiroth: *grunts as he is nudged and glances back at her* I was going to move. *shakes his head and steps further into the laboratory area* I might not have ever been kept here after I got shipped off to Junon, but there is bound to be some useable clothing somewhere here.
Aeris: *gets dressed in proper clothes and sighs as she passes by the bathroom. She taps on the door and loudly speaks* Goodbye Yuffie. I thought about what you said, and I’m going to do the rest of this alone. *walks out of the area, heading towards the flight deck*
Jenna: I hope you are right. *idly kicks some rubble out of her way* Your foreign visitor certainly did a number on this building, not to mention the rest of this city. I swear that I haven’t seen so much rubble since World War II on my planet. *indifferently shrugs and follows Sephiroth* So, where is this uniform storage?
Yuffie: Ugg… *is still busy hurling at the time that Aeris is speaking, so she isn’t quite listening* Umm, ok, that’s nice, Aeris.. *after a few more seconds, long after Aeris left, the Cetra’s words hit her brains and she shoots upright to her feet* What?!
Sephiroth: I’m guessing about it’s existance, so I can’t tell you that. *grunts slightly, not knowing about the destruction she’s comparing the city to* Your planet had a meteor strike it also, hm? If that is the case, I’m not that much of a tyrant now am I. *grunts and levitates up through a hole in the floor*
Aeris: *is already climbing down the service ladder, preparing to jump off it and fly away*
Jenna: Huh? I didn’t say anything about a meteor hitting my planet… Though there have been tons of astral bodies that have stuck Earth naturally throughout its history. Those things happen, things floating through space hit each other. *shakes her head* I was talking about a war, as World War would imply, war. *looks down the hole for a moment then leaps up, gripping onto the side of the hole before pulling herself onto the floor*
Yuffie: Aeris?? Come on, that was a joke, right..? Urk.. *collapses over her toilet again and begins to barf some more*
