Jenna: *lowers her head in thought and mumbles* Well, it wouldn’t be hard at all to turn that weak bond into a full one and make you immortal like me… *scowls* Then again, that is not a proposal to take lightly. *shakes her head then tries to make herself comfortable. She soon curls up on the bed and yawns* We will get to work tomorrow morning then..
Sephiroth: Pardon me? *sits up, glancing down at her* You can make me immortal? *keeps his attention closely on her, trying to figure out if she is lying or not* I know immortality is not a decision to be taken lightly, but it is quite better than being condemned to a fate of nothingness.
Jenna: *sighs* I don’t know if I have the skills to make it happen, but I can try. That is, if you decide that is what you want. *shakes her head* For now, just get some sleep, Seph. Tomorrow will be another day and we can speak then. *closes her eyes and begins to drift into a deep sleep. If left undisturbed, she’d remain asleep until mid morning*
Sephiroth: *grumbles to himself and leaves Jenna to sleep. He lies on his back for some time until he falls asleep himself. He remains asleep for quite a few hours, and wakes up before Jenna. He leaves her alone initially, so he can get changed into his clean clothes. He moves over to the window and glances outside, trying to guess where they’re going to go*
Jenna: *softly mumbles in her sleep, but she is more or less fine. There are no serious signs of her having a bad dream of any sort*
The clock currently reads 8:40 in the morning, which in general isn’t all that interesting of a time. However, in the distance, Sephiroth would be able to see a plane that is rapidly approaching the city at a frighteningly low altitude. As the plan nears the skyscrapers, it levels off. Soon afterwards, it hits what is known as the North Tower of the Twin Towers and bursts into flames. Shrapnel explodes from the point of contact and rains down on the street below. Luckily for Sephiroth, he is far enough away that no damage would occur to the hotel that he’s staying in.
Sephiroth: *is just idly staring out the window and pondering about what will be happening today when the plane catches his attention. He narrows his eyes curiously at it, loudly hissing as it bashes into a skyscraper in the distance. He loudly growls and moves back to the bed, promptly shaking Jenna’s shoulder in order to wake her* We should probably get out of here.
Jenna: *groans as Sephiroth shakes her. At first, she resists waking up and tries to burry her head in the pillows, but eventually, she gives up and sits upright* Fine, fine.. I’m awake.. *yawns* What has you so excited? You’re acting as if the gods themselves are coming to kill you. *stands upright and stretches*
Sephiroth: *grabs her by the arm and tries to haul her out of the bed immediately* I don’t know whether that was an accident, or deliberate, but if this is going to continue, this entire city is going to turn into a war zone. *snarls and lets go of her arm, heading back over to the window, his attention glued to the building, a large plume of smoke now rising from it*
Jenna: *yelps and hisses in pain as Sephiroth yanks her out of the bed. Unfortunately for her, she has next to no stregnth that is comparable enough to Seph’s in order to fight back against him* What the hell are you talking about? I’m certain it’s nothing.. *sighs in relief as Seph lets go of her arm and immediately begins to rub it. She perks up her head as she watches him move back to the window, finding his behavior to be quite strange. So, she makes her way over to the window as well and narrows her eyes at what she sees* Ah… *scowls* The feline better not have gotten so brazen… *Snorts*
Sephiroth: *pins his ears back, making a loud hissing noise* The feline? You think she would be responsible for this, and you still want me to go meet with her? *quickly shakes his head* I do not like the idea of that.
Jenna: *Scowls* It would be foolish for her to begin her attacks now… Her kind are not ready to face the wrath of the entirety of humanity and she knows it. It’d be suicide for her to even try… *frowns* But.. *shakes her head and moves toward the door* Come, we are leaving! *grabs her boots and quickly places them on*
Sephiroth: *grunts and picks up his own boots, heading for the door* You don’t need to tell me twice. I don’t paticularly wish to be here if a bomb drops on this building. *shoves the door open and waits for Jenna in the corridor* Where are we headed?
Jenna: *brushes her clothing off as if she were dirty then moves out of the room. She gives Sephiroth a very bland but poignant response* Down. *narrows her eyes and moves toward the elevator. She scowls as she notices that none are conviently at their level, so instead, she chooses to take the stares down to the bottom level*
Sephiroth: *grunts and heads for the stair well. He bounds down the stairs, stumbling over his big furry feet at first. Then he crouches down on all fours, finding that much faster. He promptly overtakes Jenna, bounding down flights of stairs in great strides, sometimes leaping from the top of a stair level to the bottom in one swift movement*
Jenna: *snorts in annoyance and stops, allowing Seph to go far ahead of her. As she pauses, she glances down the stairwell then chooses to simply jump down the gap between the series of stairs. So, she grips onto the ends of her cape before leaping off the railing. Soon afterward, she flares open her arms to allow her cape to act as a parachute and give her the chance to safely land. Not long afterward, she thumps onto the bottom floor*
Sephiroth: *continues to bound down the flights of stairs, only stopping once again when he’s at the bottom. He stands upright once more, his breath coming out in fast rasps. He spends a moment to catch his breath and calm down a bit, then he grabs the handle of a fire escape door, flinging it open* Come on, this exit’s as good as any!
Jenna: *was already at the bottom of the stairs when Seph managed to finish running down them. She blinks and tilts her head as she realizes that he is actually panting, but doesn’t say anything at first. So, she shrugs to herself and moves out of the stairwell* I thought that the Great Sephiroth never ran out of stamina. At least, that’s what the rumors said. *walks toward the exit and casually tosses her set of keys at the reception desk, even though the workers have their eyes fixed on the television*
Sephiroth: *grunts and follows Jenna back into the lobby area, pinning his ears back as he moves past the reception desk* At least everyone is distracted and won’t ask questions about my appearance…. *grunts*
Jenna: *loudly snorts at Seph’s statement* No one would notice anyway, Seph. I cast an illusion spell on both of us quite some time ago so that anyone looking at us would see just any normal human. It’s not like there are many people wearing armor now of days. *moves into the street and stops in front of a large square panel that leads to the subways and sewers down below. She studies it for a moment before casting a spell to make it fling into the air* Now, let us go. *jumps down into the hole and continues on her way*
Sephiroth: *scowls and steps back, snorting as Jenna hops down into the drain. He initially stands there, not wanting to go down, but when Jenna does not come back up, he scowls further and reluctantly hops down, bounding after her, snarling as he gets sewer water on his paws and coat* I’m going to need another bath after this! I hope you are happy.
Jenna: *hisses in annoyance as she hears Seph’s voice echo through the pipes. So, she suddenly turns around and moves to slam into Sephiroth, pushing him up against the wall* Be quiet. *scowls as she reaches up to tug at his right ear* Do you feel how big this is? Have you noticed how much more you can hear now? You’re going to need to not say a word, understand? *snorts and moves away from Seph before continuing on her way. Eventually, she stops in front of what looks like a normal wall until she forces open a trick door that reveals a set of stairs that heads even deeper.*
Sephiroth: *makes a ‘whoofing’ sound as he is shoved up against the wall, the air being knocked out of his lungs. He glares at Jenna as she tells him to be quiet, closing his eyes and hissing as she tugs at his ear* I understand it. *snorts and moves off the wall again, shoving her slightly in the movement* *”I understand, there’s no need to shove me around to get me to do something. I’m not a lower rank than you.”* *follows Jenna through the trick door and down the stairs, being as silent as he can as he moves his paws through the muck in the sewer tunnel*
Jenna: *glances back at Sephiroth from time to time, checking to see if he is still following her and not being followed himself. Finally, she reaches the bottom of the stairs* ~And this is where we split ways. But first…~ *turns around to face Sephiroth and reaches up to grab his throat. Once she has a firm grip on him, she casts a spell that would allow him to speak and understand the “Catanyan” language. However, this spell prevents him from speaking in English* ~There, now go.~
Sephiroth: *coughs slightly as Jenna presses her hand to his neck. He shakes his head and glares at her, moving ahead to catch up with her again* *”What was that for? What were you trying to do, choke me?”* *grunts and bounds along, easily keeping up with her* *”That would defeat the purpose of having your bait and distraction.”*
