Jenna: *shrugs* Just do whatever comes to mind. That’s what I always do. *yawns* I’m going to try resting a bit longer. *points over to the small hand-held computer on the nightstand near the bed* If you get bored while I rest, you can read nearly anything that you desire from there. It has access to a rather large database. *closes her eyes*
Sephiroth: *glances back at Jenna curiously, then reaches over to pick up the device, trying to work out how it turns on. Once he has worked that out, he just stares at it, pondering how to work it properly* Read nearly anything? What would I want to read? Hmph. I am not interested in reading fictional rubbish.
Centra: *chooses to speak to Sephiroth through the small computer. She uses text that overlaps the screen in hopes that he won’t be startled by her again* Perhaps you would like to know of the history of this island? Or perhaps the things that Jenna has not told you about herself? I can explain much about her. She has documented her past in my databases. I also have a complete documentation on every major event on planet earth.
Sephiroth: How about starting with this island. If I am going to stay here for some time, I might as well get to know the place and become familiar with it. Preparedness make one powerful, afterall.
Centra: As you wish. *the computer screen flickers then the first file on Halcyon’s history comes up. It describes how the island was founded by a family of dragons who had discovered the upcoming catrastrophe of a comet striking the planet, so they combined their magics to make a safe haven for their families. Members of various other species that were favored by those dragons were also placed onto the island in order to perserve them. Then, it describes how the island’s culture had changed throught millions of years. How dinosaurs had evolved on their perserve and become much more complex than they once were. How most members of the original dragon family had left the island to found colonies of their own throughout that time, leaving only a few stray ones who eventually grew old and died. Then, the file documents how dragons from England eventually migrated back to the island after the great masacres that wiped out nearly all magical life. Finally, documentation of the destruction of all life on the island was nearly erraticated by an alien force comes up. It describes how Jenna was the only survivor, but it only gives advice to look into Jenna’s personal files in order to gain more information as to what occurred back there. There are also a few documentations that describe the revitalization attempts that Jenna has been conducted in recent years.*
Sephiroth: *just sits there and takes in all the information as Centra goes through it. He seems bothered by some of the events, but overall is neutral to the rest. He seems rather interested in the parts about Jenna however, and begins trying to change the settings on the handheld device so he cna learn more about her*
Centra: *picks up on what Sephiroth is trying and begins displaying all of Jenna’s files. She chooses, since Sephiroth seems close to Jenna, to even let him see files that have been encoded and sealed away. So, he is likely to encounter hours of reading on Jenna including a few videos of her as well.*
Sephiroth: *views the Centra videos with curiousity, and sits there, spending a good few hours learning about Jenna. He seems interested in some of it, reading through most of it carefully* You’re even stranger that I thought…
Jenna: *Groans after a few hours of sleeping. She begins to softly speak in her sleep once more, but none of it is intelligble at the moment. It would be questionable on whether or not Jenna is speaking in english. She shivers and shows the beginning signs of having a bad dream once more, but for the most part, she remains calm*
Sephiroth: *picks up the remains of the food plate, and takes the handheld device with him as he leaves the room, heading up the stairs to the training area. He does this partially because he wants Jenna to continue resting, and because he wants to continue learning undisturbed. He rather enjoys the food as he continues reading into Jenna’s personal life* Why would anybody archive something like this?
Centra: *chooses to verbally speak up to Sephiroth* It is one of my functions to collect data on all things. Jenna does not approve of me storing some of the information in those files, but she volunteers the information for purposes of knowing where she’s been. She believes that if she knows where she’s been, she can determine where she’ll be giong. She also wants it present incase she ever looses her memories. *notices where Sephiroth is* Would you like for me to turn on a training program?
Sephiroth: Ah, I would not like to have my movements documented, but I can see how it could serve as a useful record. Tell me computer, are you documenting my every movement? *moves to sit down nearby the wall on some soft landing mats, setting the plate down beside him* I do not need a training program, thank you. I am just in here for solitude.
Centra: My given identification name is Centra, not Computer. It is short for Central Processing Unit. I would refer to be called by name. I am no simple computer. As for you, I document activities within the base constantly, but I also go through these documentations and purge most data within these logs each week. In general, I only keep records of major events, or if requested to keep records. *begins pulling up files on Sephiroth and displays them to Sephy via the computer* I also have data on you from before. Jenna wanted me to hold onto this information. She never said why.
Sephiroth: *snorts* The woman has been holding data on myself? Let’s read it then and what she has to say. *grunts and relaxes his back on the wall* I do not know why there is a need to store such information, however. *scowls, seeming quite annoyed by the idea that Jenna is keeping tabs on him* I’m not some case study to read about.
Centra: Jenna is not a scientist. She has no uses for “case studies”. To the best of my knowledge, she aquired the information because she could. She finds it fun to break into computer systems and purge them of all their data. Now, is there any more material that you would like to read?
Sephiroth: *shrugs* Technical data. test data. The scientists who cared for me measured everything from my strength, to the length of every bone on my body…. *grunts* At one they even tested my jaw’s bite pressure. *pauses* Any technical data would serve well.
Centra: You desire more documents on yourself? I have already given you access to all the files pertaining to “Sephiroth” that are in my database. There should be notes from a scientist named Hojo that would serve your curiousity. *activates her holigraphic projectors and begins displaying all the information on Sephiroth via them rather than on the small computer* Perhaps this will help.
Sephiroth: Perhaps it will. *begins reading the technical data displayed and scowls as he reads through much of it* I’d have this information deleted if I could. I wouldn’t want to have this kind of information stored around so any idiot could just read through it as they pleased. *snorts* Why is Jenna keeping this documentation? Ask her.
Centra: As stated, Jenna keeps data on nearly every location that she visits. She has never explained why she enjoys breaking into security systems then stripping them of their data. Perhaps she wants souvenirs. *a few of the holograms flash then change to show other data that had been stolen from the various locations that Jenna has visited*
Sephiroth: *snorts* Sounds rather pointless to do if you ask me. Those are rather strange souveniers to bring back. Most people are just content with photographs, or stupid little plastic items. *glances at the holograms anyway* Hmph, I must ask her why she does it. There simply has to be a reason for it…
Centra: According to Jenna, she *her voice changes to mimic Jenna’s vocal cords* “want a bit of fun an danger. Breaking into high security systems without anyone noticing is a challenge that I cannot resist.” *restores her voice to its normal tone* At least, that was the reason she gave me. Her heart rate was rather steady and her breating was steady. Thus, I have no reason to find doubt in the truth of her explanation.
Sephiroth: Hmph, well of course you wouldn’t think to ask the question, you’re just a computer afterall. *continues reading his files, snorting* I want this rubbish deleted. Is there any way I can have that done?
Centra: Negative. That order cannot be authorized by you, Sephiroth. Only authorized personelle with the access code can order for data to be deleted. Jenna is not one who has that code either. Request denied. *the holograms flicker out of existence*
Sephiroth: *growls in frustration* Who has that authorization and how can I request it? I don’t like the idea of my personal files being stored here! That doesn’t make any of you any better than the scientists that conceived and created me. *snorts*
Centra: That data block is classified. Request cannot be filled.
Jenna: *yawns and wakes up downstairs. This time, she’s feeling much better since she’s nearly completely healed. Still, she remains on the bed and does not bother to sit upright, for she feels like being lazy. She does note that Sephiroth is not in the room though* ~Seph, are you doing alright?~
