Sephiroth: **grunts and moves behind her, saying nothing. He looks around for supplies on the table, then locates some antiseptic wound cleaning solution, picking it up. He opens the bottle and snatches up some cotton wool, beginning to clean the wound* Yes, I am happy now. *snorts*
Jenna: Good. *snorts back at him. She presses her hands against the table in order to stop them from shaking* I still say that I would have been fine, I just needed rest so that I could heal. *Hisses in pain due to the anticeptic and shifts about a bit. However, for the most part, she remains still*
Sephiroth: Of course, sleep and resting alone will help you to heal from a gash that is nearly a foot long. No other treatment would be needed. How stupid of me to suggest this. *snorts and finishes cleaning up the wound, then he begins to cover it with a large piece of gauze, taping it onto her back* There. Now you may rest and sleep.
Jenna: *Scowls at him* I heal quickly, just like you do. *turns to face him, not caring that she doesn’t have a shirt on at the moment and begins to fix up her outfit* Anyway, it’s not the legnth that matters, it’s the depth. She only grazed my back, that’s all. *sighs in annooyance at how her hands are getting in the way of her placing her the clothing back on, but she doesn’t vocally complain*
Sephiroth: *averts his eyes away from her as she turns around, and loudly grunts* Well, now it will heal up in even less time. So you should be happy about that. *turns his back to her so he can dispose of the packaging that was around the gauze*
Jenna: *finishes putting on her armor then reaches over to put on her gloves. She sighs in irritation as her hands shake a bit more than they normally do then growls. After another moment, she looks up at Seph and makes a soft sound, clearing her throat* Can you assist me…?
Sephiroth: *frowns, then slowly glances back at her* What do you need assistance with? *moves back over to her and picks up the gloves, holding them out for her to take* They’re just here. *snorts*
Jenna: *deeply scowls, not wanting to mention her weakness to Sephiroth, but she has no choice* I can’t get them on.. My hands are- *shakes her head* I’ll explain later, but please, just help me secure at least one of them on. I can handle the second if you don’t desire to assist further. *holds her hands out to Sephers*
Sephiroth: *shakes his head at her* I don’t see why not. It’s not that hard. *carefully slips one glove on her hand, then quickly places on the other* There. Now was that so difficult? *grunts*
Jenna: *wiggles her fingers once the glove is on and releases a sigh of relief. For a few moments, all she does is test out the motion of her fingers, then she looks up at Sephiroth* Yes, it is hard, for me… *frowns before lifting up her right hand. She removes the glove from that hand then moves it about so that Sephiroth can see it better* See how the skin here is scarred? When I was young, say four or five, I was given my first pair of clawed gloves that were meant to give me weapons. They were designed to clasp onto the skin and act like a second skin; they also had electronic sensors that would connect to my skin and help me “feel” even with the gloves on. Unfortunately, they were not calibrated right and instead of just being right on my skin, they dug into my skin and nearly crushed my hands from here *points to her mid lower arm* down. Also, the sensors heated up and seared into my flesh. I nearly died. Fortunately, I was able to survive and healed, but not without nerve damage. So, for me, things like placing on my gloves are hard. *grips onto her second glove then slips it on*
Sephiroth: Then you are in trouble should you ever need to take them off again. *slowly shakes his head* How annoying for you. You should get that fixed, if you can. Though, getting nerve damage is not something that can easily be fixed.
Jenna: *shakes her head at Sephy’s suggestion* Yes, that is correct. Nerve damage is next to impossible to heal. My flesh may only have scars, but I cannot heal up the nerves that gave my hands the sense of touch and movement. So, I try not to take off my gloves unless needed. *limps toward the door, still in considerable pain* Now, I desire rest.
Sephiroth: *watches her go, and slowly nods his head* Goodbye, then. I will be in the vicinity of the base, seeing as though going outside seems to be a hassle. I will entertain myself in the training area, or something similar. *pauses, shrugging* Or, if you desire company, I can come down there with you.
Jenna: *pauses and stares at Sephiroth, partially in shock. She would have never had expected his offer and stares at him for a good thirty seconds before speaking* If you don’t mind… Yes, I would like the company. *shakes her head in an attempt to clear it* But- What makes you want to do it in the first place? I don’t understand.
Sephiroth: *shrugs* I’m bored, and don’t have much else to do around here except exercise in your training area, or look at the weapons collection you have managed to amass. You’re lonely. What more of a reason do you want?
Jenna: *her eyes widen for a moment before she narrows her eyes and snorts. She turns around and continues to limp away toward her bedroom* What gave you the impression that I am lonely. I am perfectly content. I never said a word about being lonely, now did I? *snarls, mostly because Sephiroth hit the spot exactly*
Sephiroth: *shrugs his shoulders and follows Jenna down the stairs anyway, keeping an eye on her movements, ready to move ahead and grab her if she falls* Fine, then I’ll come down there because I’m tired. Whatever reason satiates your tastes. The reasons I have given you so far haven’t done so. Make up your own reasons if you want, I don’t really care.
Jenna: *deeply frowns* Fine, just tell me what makes you think that I am lonely? Is that a fair question? *groans in pain as she continues to move down the stairs. Several times in her trip, she slows down and chooses to lean against the side of the wall*
Sephiroth: You’re a human. Humans are social creatures. They exist best when there are others around. You are alone, thus, I conclude you are lonely. If that answer does not suit you, make up another to suit your tastes as well. We could resolve having an entire conversation that way.
Jenna: *frowns then turns to face Sephiroth, leaning against the wall once more and stopping* So, does that make you lonely as well, hm? You are always on your own, hardly ever have you spent time with others unless it was buisness. Are you the “social” creature as well who has become lonely due to lack of contact?
Sephiroth: *rolls his eyes at her* Just shut up and go down the stairs. That’s where you’re headed anyway, stop delaying and making yourself suffer. *grunts and shakes his head* Don’t make me carry you.
Jenna: *scowls and grumbles under her breath* The purpose of my existence is to suffer.. *shakes her head then continues down the stairs. She finally reaches the bottom level, panting slightly with the exhaustion of having to go down all those stairs and frowns as she examines the distance between the door and the bed*
Sephiroth: *casually walks the rest of the way down and lightly brushes past Jenna, looking rather arrogant and smug as he moves past. He glances at the entrance to the stairs, and the bed* You’re nearly there. Only another twelve feet. You can do it. *snickers nastily*
Jenna: *Scowls and glares at Sephiroth. The flames that light the room billow for a brief moment in reaction to the angered vibes that Jenna is releasing. However, she doesn’t bother glaring at him for long. Instead, she straightens up and limps over to the bed before lying down on it* There, happy?
Sephiroth: *slowly nods his head and sits down on the other edge of the bed, his back to her for the time being* Yes, it’s much better. Because, you are resting now. You are not straining your body, and you are going to get some much needed rest. So stay lying down. *looks around the room, searching the area for a book to read, or for something to take his interest for a while*
