Jenna: *narrows her eyes at Aeris* I do not come from your culture. Does that mean that we need to have the same set of morals, hm? *shakes her head at the woman* You have no right to teach anyone anything or to reshape them as you see fit. You are not the ultimatum of anything but you. Keep to your own damn self and your own business. *points at the portal* Now, go through that, or I’ll leave you here, on this desolate dead planet.
Aeris: Sephy is from my culture. And until you took us away from the planet, I was helping him in my own way. You’re ruining that… *slowly moves ahead through the portal* Sorry, but that’s the truth.
Jenna: *Snots* Wrong, Seph is from your planet. However, he is not from your exact same culture. *shakes her head and moves through the portal as well. She gives Aeris one last glare as she exits outside of the base and then moves inside, intending to return to Seph’s side. Once there, she moves up behind Seph and sets her hand on his shoulder* Still want me here?
Aeris: *steps out the other side of the base, giving Jenna a rather unhappy glance, silent. She walks into the base, heading back to the area where she has been spending her time*
Sephiroth: *just sits in a chair and reads through the new books Jenna has bought for him. He doesn’t notice her enter the room and glances up at her, jumping slightly as she sets her hand down on his shoulder* Oh, you are back… *slowly nods his head* Of course I want you here. Or well… around here in general. I like to be around you, I like your company. You are a rather good person to be around, and I can carry intelligent conversation with you.
Jenna: *allows herself a small grin as she listens to Seph’s response then nods at him* Well, I’m glad that you like my company. I can’t deny that I most definitely like having you around as well. You’re quite an interesting man. *glances at the book* So, which subject are you studying over now? *moves to loosely wrap her arms about his neck*
Sephiroth: *raises the book up for her to see* The book is about World War II, which occured from year one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine until year one thousand nine hundred and forty five on your planet. It seems fairly interesting, although I disagree with some of it. *scowls* Most of it is about an idiot who claimed continents the slow tedious way, and he had other people kill those he didn’t like. *scowls* I would have just killed them myself, and everybody at that, not a select group.
Jenna: *chuckles at Seph’s description of WWII and shakes her head* Hitler was quite an orator though. I managed to see how the crowds reacted to him a few times. *reaches her hand up to scratch the underside of Seph’s chin* You never had the way to spur on the public like he did. *shakes her head* Also, A.D. is a very important part of those two year dates. *Smirks* You might get confused if you ever read about 3000 B. C. and so on.
Sephiroth: *raises his head and grins as Jenna scratches under his chin* No… not quite… I get that already. First the years count backwards and then they go forwards again. Because of some God being born that your planet worships. My planet would probably change it’s system if I became a god. *smirks*
Jenna: *mutters* Only some people believe the Carpenter was the son of a God. *shrugs then thinks for a moment. She then straightens up and moves into the micro-library. After a moment, she comes back out and tosses a book over to Seph which details the proof of the asteroid strike on the Yucatan Peninsula and the Mass Extinction Event of the dinosaurs that most believe happened. It also speaks of all the other large impact sites from celestrial bodies* You might be interested in that.
Sephiroth: *takes the book from Jenna and begins to slowly flip through it, raising his eyebrows slightly, seeming very curious* Where the hell did you get something like this? And who the hell would write it? *closes his other book, setting it down beside him on the floor so he can read the one he was just given*
Jenna: Hm? What do you mean? Several scientists theorize about Mass Extinction Events. There are hundreds of books that document the proof of a large asteroid smacking into Earth around sixty-five million years ago. In fact, that has been proven fact, though not all agree that the rock killed off the ecosystem that existed prior to that asteroid. *walks back over to his side*
Sephiroth: Hmm, there is generally a lot of speculation over events that occured a long time ago in the past when nobody was really around to record something like that accurately. Take the incident when Jenova landed on my planet. The only reason it is portrayed so badly as that is because most of the people alive at the time were Cetra.
Jenna: *chuckles at shakes her head at Sephiroth’s words* The way you make it sound, you like the fact that Jenova smacked down on your planet and tried to wipe out all life on it. *leans in to kiss his cheek* I was just answering your inquiry anyway. Read this book or the one before hand, doesn’t matter to me. I just figured since you have an afinity with big giant rocks smacking into planets, you might like to read about one actually succeeding. *straightens up then walks over to the bed so she can relax and sit down*
Sephiroth: That is basically what Jenova wanted in the end, yes. *makes an amused grunt at Jenna’s comment on the meteor, then shakes his head* Not all events like that are good, in fact, I can’t really think of any that have been beneficial. To others except me that is.
Jenna: Well… if you want to count the fact that the massive enviromental change that the impact created back then made the dominant life forms at the time die off and gave rise to mammals.. From that, humanity had a chance of actually evolving. *indifferently shrugs* No, not much benefit there either. However, I can assure you that no one summoned any celestrial bodies to smack Earth at any point. Comets, asteroids, and the like just move on paths and sometimes, the two paths meet. *clicks her claws together, partially bored by the topic*
Sephiroth: I see. That’s not how humans came to be on my planet at all. We never had anything on my planet prior to Cetra and monsters. *sets the book down in his lap so he can read it in more detail* Speaking of Cetra… what did you end up doing to Aeris? Nothing too drastic, I hope?
Jenna: *snorts* I told you exactly what I was going to do before I went and did it. I just showed her what the equivalent of your planet is like on this plane of existence. *continues to click her claws together, softly sighing with boredom*
Sephiroth: I see… Why did you show her that? I’m not sure if I understand. Wouldn’t it be the same as my own planet? I mean… with people and cities and such. *shrugs and turns a page of the book, reading up on meteorite showers that have destroyed buildings and structures*
Jenna: *sighs at Seph* Let me put it this way, you were never born there. There would have been no possible way for you to be born there. *glances to the side* That creature who captured you, the snake, she attacked it several hundreds of years ago. Let’s just say, that planet is not exactly warm and lively.
Sephiroth: *frowns* The snake captured Jenova? Why would she want to do that? Jenova is useless on it’s own. Without energy to feed off, I don’t think it’s good for anything, to be honest with you. *slowly shakes his head* Go annoy the Cetra some more if you like. I think I’d like to sit here and read.
Jenna: *cocks her eyebrow and looks up at Seph* Were you listening to me? I said she devoured the equivelent of your planet. She didn’t capture Jenova, she squashed that thing into oblivion. *sends him a psychic image of what The Planet is like then snorts* I didn’t say a word about wanting to do anything with Aeris. I much prefer your company.
Sephiroth: *frowns* I was listening to you… I just.. *scowls and shakes his head* I don’t like the sound of the snake at all. Is there any way to defeat it? I’d like to do something. Especially if it threatens yourself and me. I don’t appreciate the thought of a looming threat over my head all the time.
Jenna: *narrows her eyes and is silent for several moments. Finally, she turns her head to look directly at Seph and coldly speaks out* The snake is my problem and mine alone. You need not worry yourself about it. She is mine to take out. Anyway, that is the only way it can happen.
Sephiroth: *frowns at her sudden change of tone and sighs, slowly shaking his head* Fine. You deal with it, then. But if you need my help, you needn’t ask. You already have it. *settles back in the chair and continues to read, humming to himself*
Jenna: *scowls to herself* No, I’d rather not get you involved. *mutters* That day would be a suicide mission anyway. *shakes her head then studies him for a few minutes. After a bit, she softly speaks* A red-haired boy with a sniper gun… what happened to him? *glances to the side, trying to make it seem like she’s asking a candid question*
