Hojo: What? No, of course not. *snorts at her* I never said Sephiroth was going to die either. He… she’s just going to wind up becoming a human, that is all. And they’re narrowminded and weak. Bring her in later, *points to one of the scanning machines* I have secured that so it can work properly.
Jenna: *glance sat the machine, eying it closely. She then nods* Very well. Do not forget though, if you cross me, I will not hesitate in making you suffer. *smirks* Just like I made that sniveling little assistant of yours suffer before I killed him and stole his uniform? Remember? You found Sephiroth with alcohol in his stomach during that time too. Oh, how stupid you were. *chuckles then exits the room. She then goes in search of Sephiroth*
Sephiroth: *has wandered down one of the corridors, heading through the blank accomadation rooms areas. She finally stops outside one of the doors and moves inside, then begins to pull the covers off the bed in the room*
Jenna: *spots Sephiroth after a bit of searching. She pauses as she watches what the other woman is doing. She then shakes her head* Seph, why are you here? There’s nothing here of interest..
Sephiroth: I heard noises. They were calling, calling, calling to me. It was like a chorus of birds. Birds, Jenna. When they call, you must go. And what did I find when I arrived? Nothing. But that was suspicious. Suspicious, malevolent. Nothing was suspicious. So I came to check it out – a mission. But it has no relevance to anything… only the missions I went on before were of any use to anybody. But now, they are but a distant dream.
Jenna: *stares at Sephiroth for a moment. She then mutters* Seph, I don’t think I’m going to leave you alone ever again during the duration of this pregnancy… *she sighs and grips onto Seph’s shoulders* Come one, come with me. We’re going to have a short little trip and have the children checked. Does that sound good, hm?
Sephiroth: *stares at her* Why? Where? *tenses up, then smacks her hands away* I’m not going anywhere. You said you would leave me to stay in my dreams and that’s what I’m choosing to do. Why are you backing down from that now?
Jenna: *groans at Seph* I only meant for the time being then. I didn’t mean permanently. Anyway, do you really want to give up with being with me in reality? *she tries to keep her grip. She then begins leading Seph toward the room where Hojo is positioned*
Sephiroth: Why are we getting the children tested? Are we going back to that idiot scientist who used to abuse me and perform all manner of inhumane experiments on me? *follows along with Jenna, frowning* I told you when I was on this line of thought before. I’m not giving you up in reality. I can close my eyes and you are there in the other reality. I can permanently retreat to the other one if you’d all only let me. *frowns* I’m still hungry.
Jenna: You just ate Seph… *sighs at her* If you go to the version of myself in the dreams, you’ll be giving up on the real me. Isn’t the real product much better than the dream version, hm? *doesn’t bother even answering the question about Hojo. Instead, she leads Seph into the medical room* Ok, don’t worry, Seph. He knows full well that harming you in any way will make him suffer ten times worse. Doesn’t he? *glares at Hojo in a warning fashion*
Hojo: I wasn’t going to do anything harmful. *pats the table near the scanning machine, smirking back at Sephiroth and Jenna* Well? Put her on. Unlike you, I don’t have all day to sit around.
Sephiroth: You were gone for so long it was all I had to hold onto. ANd now this? I’d rather not hold onto it. *shakes her head* I don’t want to go near that thing.
Jenna: *frowns at Seph* It’ll be alright, Seph. As I said, that man has been taught quite clearly that I can cause him pain with even a glare. He won’t hurt you. *tries to guide Seph toward the machine* Trust me. I won’t ask you to trust him. But, please, trust me.
Sephiroth: Fine… *snorts and moves away from Jenna, sitting down on the table. Within moments she is lying down on it, her eyes closed as Hojo activates it to scan her entire body length*
Hojo: This is not radioactive so there’s no harm to the baby. *pauses* Not that I care… *turns his head away to check the readouts so far, then presses a few buttons, wanting to get some images*
Jenna: *turns her head to watch Hojo, closely monitoring his activities. As she watches Hojo, she reaches over to grip onto Seph’s left hand. She then gives Seph’s hand a gentle, reassuring squeeze*
Hojo: *growls at Jenna* Are you quite insane? Leave her alone. If one moves during a scan like this, it will completely ruin test results. *snarls* Now lie there and stay still. And you – *points at Jenna* Stand back.
Jenna: *growls at Hojo. She then snorts* Very well then. However, dare to order me again, and I shall slice off one of your less necessary appendages. *she lets go of Seph’s hand. She then glances down at the arm which she had ripped up the night before. She idly picks at the bandage that she put on it last night, just waiting for Hojo to finish. Still, she pays close attention to what Hojo is doing*
Hojo: *is not doing much of questionable nature right now, apart from using the scanning equipment to continue scanning Sephiroth’s form. He pauses when the scan gets to the middle of it’s scanning phase, pausing it for a few moments* Well that’s interesting… *mumbles to himself and moves away to grab a clipboard, scribbling up a mental note*
Sephiroth: This machine – it makes the world spin violently when it comes near my head… don’t make it do it again…
Jenna: *lifts her head as she notices Hojo’s statement of finding something interesting. So, she straightens up then moves over to him* What exactly is interesting? *scowls* You’d better not be hiding anything from me.
Hojo: Did I say anything to you? *snorts in disgust* I was going to list my findings at the end of this. Don’t jump up at every tiny thing discovered and accuse me of such rubbish. *growls in annoyance* Get away from the machine until this is finished with.
Jenna: *glares at Hojo. She then casts a spell to set a small fire in his intestines for a few seconds* I think someone forgot what I can do. Now, answer me. What was interesting?
Hojo: *punches the emergency stop button as he goes down, hugging at his innards, hissing and writhing in pain, too focussed on that to do anything else right now*
Sephiroth: *slides the scanning part of the device off her, and sits up, confused* The humming stopped. It was at my middle, at my legs. What happened? Why was it killed?
Jenna: Do not worry much about it, Seph. An idiot just forgot his place here. *glances at Seph* Just relax. Don’t worry, you can lie down and make yourself comfortable. *glares at Hojo again* I repeat, what was interesting?
Sephiroth: It was interrupted. I don’t want to be here. I still don’t want to be here. *slides off the table and heads for the door, grinning* This is over now because I want it to be. *glances back at Hojo, then lowers her head and moves hurriedly out the door*
Hojo: *coughs for a few moments, struggling to sit up* There’s two… *squeezes his eyes shut, hugging his stomach* Damn you, woman…
Jenna: *blinks and stares at Hojo* Two? You are most certain? ~Seph, get back here. Please… This man is saying that you’re having twins..~
Sephiroth: *”Oh right. What’s one, when there’s another? Please excuse me. I have to get out of here, currently.”*
Hojo: *coughs* If you… had let me finish the damn scan, I could be more certain… *glares at her as he gets to his feet again* You are the most impatient hag I have ever met. If you had just waited two or three more minutes, you would have an entire llist of the anomalies I found on the scan.
